یہ دعا امام رضاؑ سے روایت کی گئی ہے کہ جب تم انگوٹھی پہنو تو اس دعا کو پڑھو۔۔۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ سَمِّنِيْ بِسِيْمَآءِ الْاِيْمَانِ وَاخْتِمْ لِي بِالْـخَيْرِ وَاجْعَلْ عَاقِبَتِيْ اِلٰى خَيْرٍ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْكَرِيْمُ۔
Allaahumma sammenee be-seemaaa-il eemaane wakh-tiim lee bil-khayre waj-a’l a’aqebatee elaa khayrin innaka antal a’zeezul kareem.
O Allah! Let the sign of faith be the cause of my recognition! Let my end be worthwhile and let there be good for me even in the world to come. It is well known that You are All Mighty, and All Generous!
اے اللہ! میرے ایمان کو میری پہچان کی نشانی بنا دے، میری موت کو مفید قرار دے اور آخرت میں بھی میرے لئے خیر ہو، بےشک تو عزیز اور کریم ہے۔
