دُنيا و آخرت کی بھلائی
In a valid tradition, Kulayni has reported on the authority of Ali ibn Mahziyar that Muhammad ibn Ibrahim wrote the following letter to (Imam) Abu’l-Hasan Naqi (a): “If you do not mind, sir; teach me a supplicatory prayer that I may say after my prayers and due to which Almighty Allah may give me together the wealth of this worldly life and the goodness of the Hereafter.” Replying him, the Imam (a) wrote back, “You may say (the following)…
شيخ کلينیؒ نے معتبر سند کے ساتھ علی بن مہزيار سے روايت کی ہے کہ محمد بن ابراہيم نے امام علی نقیؑ کی خدمت ميں تحرير کيا کہ مولا اگر آپ مناسب سمجھيں تو مجھے ايک ايسی دعا تعليم فرمائيں جو ميں ہر نماز کے بعد پڑھوں اور اس سے مجھے دُنيا و آخرت کی بھلائی حاصل ہو جائے اس کے جواب ميں امامؑ نے تحرير فرمايا کہ تم ہر نماز کے بعد يہ دُعا پڑھا کرو۔۔۔
اَعُوْذُ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ وَعِزَّتِكَ الَّتِىْ لَا تُرَامُ وَقُدْرَتِكَ الَّتِىْ لَا يَمْتَنِعُ مِنْهَا شَىْءٌ مِنْ شَرِّ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ الْاَوْجَاعِ كُلِّهَا۔
A’oozo be-wajhe-kal kareeme wa ‘izzate-kal latee laa toraa-mo wa qudrate-kal latee laa yam-tane’o minhaa shai-oon min shar-rid dunyaa wal aakhe-rate wa min shar-ril aw-jaa’e kulle-haa.
I seek refuge in Your Noble Face and Your unassailable might, And in Your power from which nothing can escape, From the evils of this world and the Hereafter, And from the harm of all ailments.
پناه ليتا ہوں تيری ذات کريم اورتيری عزت کی جس کا کوئی قصد نہيں کر سکتا تيری قدرت کی پناه جس سے کوئی چيز انکار نہيں کر سکتی، دنيا اور آخرت کے شر سے اور ہر قسم کے دکھوں دردوں سے۔
According to other forms of the tradition, the following has been added to the supplicatory prayer…
اور بعض روايات ميں يہ بھی ہے۔۔۔
وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِىِّ الْعَظِيْمِ۔
Walaa hawla walaa quwwata illaa billaa-hil ‘aliyyil ‘azeeme.
And there is neither might nor power save with Allah, the All-high, the All-great.
اور نہيں کوئی حرکت اور قوت مگر جوبلند و بزرگ خداسے ملتی ہے۔
