1. Qasim Ibn Ala’a narrates from the servant of Imam Hadi (a) that he said: When I asked Imam (a)’s permission to go to the city of Toos for the Ziyarat of Imam Reza (a) he (a) said: “You must keep a ring consisting yellow agate carved with the sentence…

   قاسم ابن الع نے امام ہادیؑ کے غلام سے روایت کی ہے کہ اُس نے فرمایا: جب میں نے امامؑ سے امام رضاؑ کی زیارت کے سبب سے طوس جانے کی اجازت طلب کی تو امامؑ نے فرمایا: تمہیں چاہیے کہ اپنے ساتھ ایک زرد عقیق جس پر یہ لکھا ہو۔۔۔

2. مَا شَآءَ اللهُ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ۔

   MAASHA-AA-ALLAAHO LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHE AS-TAGH-FERULLAA-HA.

   Only that which Allah wills shall come to pass! There is no strength save with Allah. I pray the forgiveness of Allah.

   جو کچھ خدا چاہے۔ نہیں کوئی قوت سوائے خدا کے میں اس سے بخشش چاہتا ہوں۔

3. And on the other side of it MUHAMMAD & ALI should be inscribed because it would safeguard you from robbers and bandits and it would provide protection to your faith.”

   اور اُس عقیق کے دوسری طرف "محمد و علی" نقش کیا ہوا ہو کیوں کہ یہ تمہیں ڈاکوؤں اور لٹیروں سے بچائے گا اور تمہارے ایمان کی حفاظت کرے گا۔

4. Then he (a) said: “You must also have a ring with turquoise. If in the way between Toos and Nishapur you come across with a lion hindering the passage of the caravan then you go forward and showing him that ring tell him: ‘My Master has ordered you to keep away from the passage.’”

   پھر امامؑ نے فرمایا: تمہارے پاس فیروزہ کی انگوٹھی بھی ہونی چاہیے۔ اگر طوس اور نیشاپور کے راستے میں کوئی شر تمہارے قافلے کے لئے رکاوٹ ہو تو اُس کے سامنے جا کر اُسے انگوٹھی دکھائیں اور کہیں: میرے مولا کا حکم ہے کہ ہمارے راستہ سے ہٹ جا۔

5. Then he (a) said: “On one side of it ALLAHUL MALEKO (Sovereignty is for Allah) should be inscribed and on the other side AL-MULKO LILLAAHIL WAAHEDIL QAHHAARO (Kingdom is for Allah, the One, the Dominant) should be carved as this is the engraving of the ring of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (a).”

   پھر امامؑ نے فرمایا: انگوٹھی کے پتھر کی ایک طرف "اللہ الملکو" نقش کریں اور دوسری طرف "الملک للہ الواحد القھار" نقش کریں کہ یہ کلمات امام علی ابن ابی طالبؑ کی انگوٹھی پر لکھا ہوا تھا۔

6. Then Imam (a) added: The stone of that ring was turquoise and this was for the safety from wild beasts and for winning the wars.

   پھر امامؑ نے فرمایا: اُس انگوٹھی کا پتھر فیروزہ تھا اور یہ وحشی مخلوق سے محفوظ اور جنگ کو فتح کرنے کے لئے ہے۔

7. In this narration Qasim ibn Ala’a witnessed two miracles of Imam (a). It is worth to be noted that in those days the way to Toos was full of dangers.

   اس روایت میں قاسم ابن آلع نے امامؑ کے دو معجزے کو دیکھا۔ یہ سمجھنا ضروری ہے کہ اُس زمانے میں طوس کے راستے کافی خطرناک ہوا کرتے تھے۔
