Farzand-e-Payambar Ka Madine Se Safar Hai

by Mir Babar Ali Anees

About this marsiya

Imam Husain (a) leaves Medina. Zainab (a) holds to her mother's dying wish never to leave him; his sick daughter Sughra (a), refused the journey, bids Ali Akbar (a) and the infant Ali Asghar (a) farewell. The Imam takes leave at the graves of the Prophet (s), of Fatima (a), whose voice foretells Karbala, and of Hasan (a), cuts short the Hajj at Mecca, hears of the martyrdom of Muslim (a), and reaches Karbala on the second of Muharram.

The marsiya

Stanza 1

Farzand-e-Payambar ka Madine se safar hai Sadat ki basti ke ujarne ki khabar hai Dar pesh hai wo gham, ke jahan zer-o-zabar hai Gul chaak gareban hain saba khaak ba sar hai Gul roo sifat-e-ghuncha kamar basta khare hain Sab ek jagah surat-e-guldasta khare hain

The son of the Prophet is setting out from Medina;
the news has come that the town of the Sayyids will be laid waste.
Ahead lies a grief that turns the world upside down;
the flowers have torn their collars, the breeze has dust on its head.
The rose-faced ones stand like buds, girded for the road;
all together they stand like a bouquet.

Stanza 2

Aarasta hain bahr-e-safar, sarv-e-qaba posh Amaame saron par hain abaayen ba sar-e-dosh Yaaran-e-watan hote hain aapas mein ham aaghosh Hairan koi tasweer ki surat koi khamosh Munh malta hai ro kar koi sarwar ke qadam par Gir parta hai koi Ali Akbar ke qadam par

The cypress-like youths in their tunics are dressed for the journey,
turbans on their heads, cloaks over their shoulders.
Friends from home embrace one another;
one stands amazed like a picture, another silent.
One, weeping, rubs his face upon the feet of the Leader;
another falls at Ali Akbar's feet.

Stanza 3

Abbas ka munh dekh ke kehta hai koi aah Ab aankhon se chhup jaaye gi tasweer-e-Yadullah Kehte hain gale mil ke ye Qasim ke hawa khwah Wallah dilon par hai ajab sadma-e-jaankah Hum logon se sheereen sukhani kaun kare ga Ye uns, ye khulq-e-Hasani kaun kare ga

Seeing Abbas's face, someone sighs:
"Now the image of the Hand of God will be hidden from our eyes."
Embracing him, Qasim's well-wishers say,
"By Allah, a strange, soul-wearing grief lies on our hearts;
who will speak sweetly with us now?
Who will show this warmth, this Hasan-like grace?"

Stanza 4

Rote hain wo, jo Aun-o-Muhammad ke hain, ham sin Kehte hain ke maktab mein na ji bahle ga tum bin Is daagh se chain aaye hamen, ye nahin mumkin Garmi ka maheena hai safar ke ye nahin din Tum Hazrat-e-Shabbir ke saaye mein pale ho Kyun dhoop ki takleef uthaane ko chale ho

The boys of the same age as Aun and Muhammad weep
and say, "Without you our hearts will find no joy at school;
it is impossible that we should find peace with this sorrow.
It is the hot season; these are no days for travelling.
You have grown up in the shelter of Shabbir;
why do you set out to suffer the hardship of the sun?"

Stanza 5

Ham joliyon se kehte the wo donon biradar Haan bhaiyo tum bhi hamen yaad aao ge aksar Paala hai hamen shah ne, hum jaayen na kyun kar Mamoon rahen jangal mein to apna hai wahi ghar Wo din ho ke hum haqq-e-ghulami se ada hon Tum bhi ye dua maango ke hum shah pe fida hon

The two brothers said to their playmates,
"Yes, brothers, we too shall often remember you;
the King has raised us; how could we not go?
If our uncle stays in the wilderness, that is our home too.
May the day come when we have paid the debt of servants;
you too pray that we may give our lives for the King."

Stanza 6

Rukhsat ke liye log chale aate hain baham Har qalb hazeen hai, to har ik chashm hai pur nam Aisa nahin ghar koi ke jis mein nahin matam Ghul hai ke chala dilbar-e-Makhdooma-e-Aalam Khuddam khare peette hain qabr-e-Nabi ke Rauza pe udaasi hai Rasool-e-Arabi ke

People come together to bid farewell;
every heart is grieving, every eye is wet;
there is no house without mourning.
The cry goes up: "The darling of the Lady of the world is leaving!"
The servants of the Prophet's grave stand beating their breasts;
sadness lies over the shrine of the Arabian Messenger.

Stanza 7

Hai jab se khula haal-e-safar band hai bazaar Ye jins-e-gham arzan hai ke rote hain dukan daar Khaak urti hai weerani-e-Yasrib ke hain aasar Har kooche mein hai shor, ke hai hai shah-e-abrar Ab yaan koi wali na raha aah hamaara Jaata hai Madine se shahanshah hamaara

Since news of the journey spread, the market has been shut;
the goods of grief are so cheap that the shopkeepers weep.
Dust is flying; the signs of Yasrib's ruin are here;
in every lane there is a clamour: "Alas, alas, the King of the righteous!
Ah, now there is no one left here to protect us;
our King of kings is leaving Medina."

Stanza 8

Tadbeer-e-safar mein hain idhar sibt-e-Payambar Ghar mein kabhi aate hain kabhi jaate hain baahar Asbab nikalwaate hain Abbas dilawar Taqseem-e-sawaari ke taraddud mein hain Akbar Shah ko jinhen le jaana hai, wo paate hain ghore Khaali hua istabal, chale aate hain ghore

Here the Prophet's grandson is busy arranging the journey;
now he comes into the house, now goes out.
Brave Abbas is having the baggage brought out;
Akbar is busy sharing out the mounts;
those whom the King is to take with him are given horses;
the stable is emptied; the horses keep coming.

Stanza 9

Hazir dar-e-daulat pe hain, sab yawar-o-ansar Koi to kamar baandhta hai aur koi hathiyar Haudaj bhi kase jaate hain, mahmil bhi hain taiyaar Chillaate hain darban, koi aaye na khabardar Har mahmil-o-haudaj pe ghata top pare hain Parde ki qanaaten liye farrash khare hain

All the helpers and supporters are present at the noble door;
one ties on his belt, another his weapons;
the howdahs are being strapped on, the litters are ready;
the doorkeepers cry, "Take care that no one comes near!"
Heavy covers are drawn over every litter and howdah;
the tent-men stand holding the screens of the women's enclosure.

Stanza 10

Aurat-e-mahalla chali aati hain ba sad gham Kehti hain ye din rehlat-e-Zahra se nahin kam Purse ki tarah rone ka ghul hota hai har dam Farsh uthta hai kya bichhti hai goya saf-e-matam Ghul hota hai har simt, juda hoti hai Zainab Har ik ke gale milti hai aur roti hai Zainab

The women of the quarter come in deep sorrow
and say, "This day is no less than the day Zahra passed away."
Every moment there is weeping as at a house of condolence;
the carpets are rolled up, and a row of mourners seems spread in their place.
There is a clamour on every side: Zainab is leaving!
She embraces each one, and Zainab weeps.

Stanza 11

Le le ke balaayen yahi sab karti hain taqreer Is garmi ke mausam mein kahan jaate hain Shabbir Samjhaati nahin bhai ko ae shah ki hamsheer Muslim ka khat aa le to karen kooch ki tadbeer Lillah abhi qabr-e-Payambar ko na chhoren Ghar Fatima Zahra ka hai is ghar ko na chhoren

Taking his ills upon themselves, they all say this:
"Where is Shabbir going in this hot season?
O sister of the King, will you not reason with your brother?
Let Muslim's letter come, and then let him plan the journey.
For God's sake, let him not leave the Prophet's (s) grave just yet;
this is the house of Fatima Zahra; let him not leave this house."

Stanza 12

Wo ghar hai malak rehte the jis ghar ke nigahban Kyun apne buzurgon ka makan karte hain weeran Kufe ki bhi khalqat to nahin sahib-e-iman Bibi ye Madine ki tabaahi ka hai saamaan Ek ek shaqi dushman-e-aulad-e-Ali hai Shamsheer-e-sitam waan sar-e-Haidar pe chali hai

"It is the house whose guardians were the angels;
why does he lay waste the home of his forefathers?
The people of Kufa, too, are not people of faith.
Lady, this is the making of Medina's ruin.
Every one of those wretches is an enemy of Ali's children;
there the sword of tyranny came down on Haidar's head."

Stanza 13

Ujre ga Madina jo ye ghar hoye ga khaali Barbadi-e-Yasrib ki bina charkh ne daali Kya jaanen phir aayen ke na aayen shah-e-aali Hazrat ke siwa kaun hai is shahr ka wali Zahra hain na Haidar na Payambar na Hasan hain Ab un ki jagah aap hain ya shah-e-zaman hain

"Medina will be ruined when this house is empty;
the heavens have laid the foundation of Yasrib's destruction.
Who knows whether the noble King will come back or not?
Who but he is the protector of this city?
There is no Zahra, no Haidar, no Prophet, no Hasan;
now in their place there is only you, or the King of the age."

Stanza 14

Garmi ka ye din aur pahaaron ka safar aah In chhote se bachchon ka nigahban hai Allah Raste ki mashaqqat se kahan hain abhi agah In ko to na le jaayen safar mein shah-e-zi jaah Qatra bhi dam-e-tishna dahani nahin milta Koson talak is raah mein paani nahin milta

"These days of heat, and a journey through the hills, alas!
Allah is the guardian of these little children.
How should they know yet the hardship of the road?
At least let the noble King not take them on the journey.
When the mouth is parched, not a drop is to be found;
for miles along this road there is no water."

Stanza 15

Munh dekh ke Asghar ka chala aata hai rona Aaraam se madar ki kahan god mein sona Jhoola ye kahan aur kahan narm bichhauna Likha tha isi sin mein musafir inhen hona Kya hoga jo maidan mein hawa garm chale gi Ye phool se kumhlaayen ge, maan haath male gi

"Seeing Asghar's face, one cannot help weeping.
Where now will he sleep in peace in his mother's lap?
Where will this cradle be, and where his soft bed?
It was written that he should become a traveller at this age.
What will happen when the hot wind blows in the open field?
These flower-like ones will wither, and their mother will wring her hands."

Stanza 16

In beebiyon se kehti thi ye shah ki hamsheer Behnon hamen Yasrib se liye jaati hai taqdeer Is shahr mein rehna nahin milta kisi tadbeer Ye khat pe khat aaye hain ke majboor hain Shabbir Mujh ko bhi hai ranj aisa ke kuchh keh nahin sakti Bhai se juda ho ke magar reh nahin sakti

The King's sister said to these ladies,
"Sisters, fate is taking us away from Yasrib;
by no means can we stay on in this city;
letter after letter has come, so that Shabbir has no choice.
I too feel such grief that I cannot speak of it,
but I cannot live parted from my brother."

Stanza 17

Ammaan ki lahad chhor ke main yaan se na jaati Faaqe bhi agar hote to gham us ka na khaati Bhai ki taraf dekh ke shaq hoti hai chhaati Be jaaye, mujhe baat koi ban nahin aati Zahir mein to mabain-e-lahad soti hain Ammaan Main khwab mein jab dekhti hoon roti hain Ammaan

"I would not have left here and my mother's grave;
even if we had gone hungry, I would not have grieved over that;
but my heart breaks when I look at my brother:
unless I go, I can find no way out.
Outwardly my mother sleeps within her grave,
but when I see her in my dreams, she is weeping."

Stanza 18

Hai rooh pe Ammaan ki qalaq karti hain zari Sar peette main ne unhen dekha kai baari Rudad bayan kar gayi hain mujh se wo saari Farmaati thin bhai se khabar daar main waari Gham khwar hai tu aur Khuda hafiz-e-jaan hai Na baap hai sar par mere bachche ke na maan hai

"My mother's soul is in anguish; she weeps aloud;
many times I have seen her beating her head.
She has told me the whole story,
and she used to say, 'I would give my life for you; take care of your brother;
you are the one to share his grief, and God is the guardian of his life;
my child has no father over him now, nor mother.'"

Stanza 19

Yaad aati hai har dam mujhe Ammaan ki musibat Kuchh jaan ki thi fikr na un ko dam-e-rehlat Aahista ye farmaati thin ba sad gham-o-hasrat Shabbir sidhaare jo soo-e-wadi-e-ghurbat Us din meri turbat se bhi munh moriyo Zainab Is bhai ko tanha na kabhi chhoriyo Zainab

"My mother's suffering comes back to me every moment;
at the hour of her death she had no thought for her own life;
softly, in deep grief and longing, she would say,
'When Shabbir sets out for the valley of exile,
Zainab, on that day turn your face even from my grave;
never leave this brother alone, Zainab.'"

Stanza 20

Ammaan ki wasiyyat ko baja laaoon na kyun kar Ghar bhai se tha bhai na hoga to kahan ghar Do behnen hain maan jaaiyan aur ek biradar Rassi se bandhe haath ke balwe mein khule sar Jo howe so ho bhai ke hamrah hai Zainab Is kooch ke anjam se agah hai Zainab

"How should I not carry out my mother's will?
Home was home because of my brother; without my brother, where is home?
There are two sisters born of one mother, and one brother.
Whether it be hands bound with rope or heads bared before a crowd,
come what may, Zainab is with her brother;
Zainab knows how this journey will end."

Stanza 21

Ye kehti thi Zainab ke pukaare shah-e-adil Taiyaar hain darwaaze pe sab haudaj-o-mahmil Tai shaam talak hogi kahin aaj ki manzil Rukhsat karo logon ko bas ab rone se hasil Chalti hai hawa sard abhi waqt-e-sahar hai Bachche kai hamrah hain garmi ka safar hai

Zainab was saying this when the just King called,
"All the howdahs and litters are ready at the door;
somewhere, by evening, today's stage will be covered.
Bid the people farewell; enough now, what comes of weeping?
The wind still blows cool; it is still early morning;
many children are with us, and it is a journey in the heat."

Stanza 22

Rukhsat karo un ko jo ke hain milne ko aaye Keh do koi gahwara-e-Asghar ko bhi laaye Nadan Sakina kahin aansoo na bahaaye Jaane ki khabar meri na Sughra kahin paaye Dar hai kahin ghabra ke na dam us ka nikal jaaye Baaten karo aisi ke wo beemar bahal jaaye

"Bid farewell to those who have come to see us;
tell someone to bring Asghar's cradle too;
do not let little Sakina shed tears;
do not let Sughra hear the news that I am going.
I fear that in her distress her breath may fail;
talk to her in such a way that the sick girl is comforted."

Stanza 23

Rukhsat ko abhi qabr-e-Payambar pe hai jaana Kya jaaniye phir ho ke na hoye mera aana Ammaan ki lahad par hai abhi ashk bahaana Is marqad-e-anwar ko hai aankhon se lagaana Aakhir to liye jaati hai, taqdeer watan se Chalte hue milna hai abhi qabr-e-Hasan se

"I must still go to the Prophet's grave to take my leave;
who knows whether I shall ever come back?
I must still shed tears at my mother's grave
and press that radiant tomb to my eyes.
In the end fate is taking me away from home;
as I leave, I must still visit Hasan's grave."

Stanza 24

Sun kar ye sukhan Bano-e-nashad pukaari Main lutti hoon kaisa safar aur kaisi sawaari Ghash ho gayi hai Fatima Sughra meri pyaari Ye kis ke liye karte hain sab girya-o-zari Ab kis pe main is sahib-e-azar ko chhoroon Is haal mein kis tarah se beemar ko chhoroon

Hearing these words, the grieving Bano cried out,
"I am being robbed! What journey, what mounts?
My dear Fatima Sughra has fainted;
for whom are they all weeping and wailing?
With whom can I now leave this sick one?
How can I leave the sick girl in this state?"

Stanza 25

Maan hoon main, kaleja nahin, seena mein sambhalta Sahib mere dil ko hai koi haathon se malta Main to use le chalti, ye kuchh bas nahin chalta Reh jaatin jo behnen bhi to dil us ka bahalta Darwaaze pe taiyaar sawaari pe khari hai Par ab to mujhe jaan ki Sughra ki pari hai

"I am a mother; my heart will not stay steady in my breast;
my lord, it is as if someone were wringing my heart in his hands.
I would have taken her with me, but I have no say in it;
if her sisters were staying behind, her heart would be comforted.
The mount stands ready at the door,
but now I fear for Sughra's very life."

Stanza 26

Chillaati thi Kubra ke behan aankh to kholo Kehti thi Sakina ke zara munh se to bolo Hum jaate hain tum uth ke baghal geer to ho lo Chhaati se lago baap ki dil khol ke ro lo Tum jis ki ho shaida wo biradar na mile ga Ghar bhar mein jo dhoondo gi to Akbar na mile ga

Kubra cried out, "Sister, open your eyes!"
Sakina said, "Just say something!
We are going; get up and embrace us at least;
hold your father close and weep your heart out.
The brother you adore will not be found;
search the whole house, and you will not find Akbar."

Stanza 27

Hushyar ho kya subh se behosh hai khwahar Asghar ko karo pyaar kaleje se laga kar Chhaati se lago uth ke khari roti hain madar Hum rote hain dekho to zara aankh utha kar Afsos, isi taur se ghaflat mein raho gi Kya aakhri baba ki ziyarat na karo gi

"Wake up! Sister, why have you lain senseless since morning?
Hold Asghar to your heart and kiss him;
get up and embrace your mother; she stands there weeping;
we are weeping; just raise your eyes and look.
Alas, will you stay unconscious like this?
Will you not see your father for the last time?"

Stanza 28

Sun kar ye sukhan shah ke aansoo nikal aaye Beemar ke nazdeek gaye sar ko jhukaaye Munh dekh ke Bano ka sukhan lab pe ye laaye Kya zoaf-o-naqahat hai, Khuda us ko bachaaye Jis sahib-e-azar ka ye haal ho ghar mein Danista main kyun kar use le jaaoon safar mein

Hearing these words, the King's tears came;
he went up to the sick girl with his head bowed.
Looking at Bano's face, he said these words:
"What weakness, what frailty! May God preserve her!
When a sick one is in such a state at home,
how can I knowingly take her on a journey?"

Stanza 29

Keh kar ye sukhan baith gaye Sayyid-e-khush khoo Aur Soora-e-Alhamd parha thaam ke bazu Beemar ne paayi gul-e-Zahra ki jo khush boo Aankhon ko to khola pe tapakne lage aansoo Maan se kaha mujh mein jo hawas aaye hain Ammaan Kya mere maseeha mere paas aaye hain Ammaan

Saying this, the gentle Sayyid sat down
and, holding her arm, recited the Surah al-Hamd.
When the sick girl caught the fragrance of Zahra's flower,
she opened her eyes, but her tears began to fall.
She said to her mother, "Mother, now that my senses have come back,

Look this way, child: the noble King is weeping."
Sughra said, "I would give my life for his love!
What is afoot, that my father weeps like this?
Tell me plainly: is my father leaving me?"

"What is left hidden now? You have found out for yourself.
You are being left behind; that is why everyone weeps, Sughra;
from today we are wanderers far from home, Sughra."

the King of the faith rose, and the whole house was thrown into turmoil;
every eye one looked at was wet;
it was a gathering of mourning breaking up in disarray.

The King of the righteous came out of the private quarters of the noble house;
weeping, the pure family went to the entrance.
Abbas called again and again to the tent-men,
"Take care with the screens of the women's enclosure! Take care!
The women of the Messenger of both worlds are coming out;
let no strip of cloth bend in a gust of wind."

Then Ali Akbar said to Abbas, son of Ali,
"Lady Zainab leads the caravan of the women;
let her mount first, then let all the others climb into the litters."
The revered one said, "Yes, that is my wish too;
in my house Ali's daughter stands in Zahra's place;
I feel that my mother is travelling with me."

When Haidar's daughter reached the side of the camel,
the Prophet's grandson himself came forward to take her hand;
Fizza was holding the corner of her mantle;
Ali Akbar was holding up the curtain of the litter;
the sons stood girded to left and right;
Abbas stood ready to pick up her sandals.

One day there was this array of mounts and litters;
another day there was that, when the hellish ones stood round with lances:
no litter, no howdah, no pannier, no canopy;
the beloved daughter of Haidar-e-Karrar was unveiled;
the necks of many little children were tied together;
their hair hung loose over their faces, and their hands were bound.

When Zahra's daughter had graced the litter,
all the women of the noble Sayyid mounted the camels;
the horses began to arrive; the curtain of dust lifted;
the King of Yasrib and Batha said to Abbas,
"The pain of my parting weighs on the Prophet's soul;
come, let us go to the grave of the Arabian Messenger to take leave."

the tomb of the King of Laulak began to shake with the shock;
when the grave stirred, the heavens trembled;
when the earth quaked, dust flew up in the holy courtyard.
Amid this clamour a voice came from his grandfather's shrine:

Baaten thin yahi yas ki aur dard ki taqreer Manzil pe bhi aaraam se sote the na Shabbir Shab ko kahin utre, to sahar ko hue rahgeer Jaldi thi ke, ho jaaye shahadat mein na takheer Maqtal ka ye tha shauq shah-e-jinn-o-bashar ko Jis tarah se dhoondhe koi mashooq ke ghar ko

Such were his words of despair, such his talk of pain;
even at the halting places Shabbir did not sleep in peace;
if he stopped somewhere at night, by dawn he was on the road again;
he was in haste, lest his martyrdom be delayed.
The King of jinn and men longed so for the field of slaughter
as one searches for the house of the beloved.

Milta tha koi mard-e-musafir jo sar-e-raah Yun poochhte the us se ba hasrat shah-e-zi jaah Aisa koi sahra bhi hai ae banda-e-Allah Ik nahr siwa jis mein ho chashma na koi chaah Kya milta hai, is dasht mein aur kya nahin milta Hum dhoondhte phirte hain, wo sahra nahin milta

Whenever he met a traveller on the road,
the noble King would ask him with longing,
"Is there such a desert, O servant of Allah,
in which, apart from one river, there is neither spring nor well?
What is to be found in that wilderness, and what is not?
We go on searching, and cannot find that desert."

Wo arz ye karta tha ke sibt-e-shah-e-Laulak Hai sakht pur andoh, wo sahra tah-e-aflak Hansta hua waan jaaye to ho jaata hai ghamnak Sunta hoon wahan din ko urata hai koi khaak Waan raaton ko aati hai sada seena zani ki Darwesh ki mumkin hai sukoonat na ghani ki

He would answer, "Grandson of the King of Laulak,
that desert beneath the heavens is full of bitter sorrow;
whoever goes there laughing becomes sad;
I hear that someone throws up dust there by day;
by night comes the sound of breast-beating;
neither the poor man nor the rich can live there."

In this wilderness you will be joined to the dust;
here your darlings will be cut to pieces by swords;
here the water will be cut off from your children;
my dear, on this very dust you will fall from your horse;
alas, alas, here the dagger will pass across your throat.'"

'Alas, here my darling's hands will be cut off!'
What can I tell you of the river, O King of blessed days?
The water is not brackish, yet this is what is said:
even birds parched with thirst do not drink there;
wild beasts never come there to drink the water."

"No traveller halts there or stops to rest;
it is said that this water has the nature of fire;
for the thirsty every wave of it is a sword;
the wind there blows the way arrows fly;
no thirsty throat ever has its thirst quenched there;
the water of that river smells of blood."

Saying this to that man, the Qibla of the world went on:
"If Allah wills, we shall people that place."
Calamity after calamity comes upon the lover every moment;
grief grew greater as the time to union grew short.
This new calamity came upon the King of kings' company:
on the way came the news of Muslim's martyrdom.

May Allah never bring news of mourning to anyone far from home!
A strange, soul-wearing grief came over the revered one;
the King's women loosed their braided hair and beat their heads;
the King said, "This same road lies before us all;
what Allah intends will come to pass;
today he has departed; tomorrow it is our turn to journey."

Such was the state of Muslim's wife for her husband:
she was falling from her litter, her hair dishevelled;
the fortunate Abbas wept for his sister;
she said, "My two little sons came with him;
ask, where have those two darlings of mine gone?"
Shabbir said, "Both of them have been killed."

All the litters were drawn up beside that lady's howdah;
the cry went up that Shabbir's sister had been widowed;
the wronged Muslim's daughter was frightened
and kept asking her mother, clinging to her,
"Why are you beating yourself? Who has been parted from us, Mother?
What has happened to my father far from home, Mother?"

From that day a cloud of cruelty hung over the company;
for several days the people of the caravan did not eat;
the son of the Lion of God was still on the road
when the moon of Muharram appeared in the sky.
In Shabbir's camp all looked at the new moon;
the King looked at his face in the mirror of his sword.

they bowed in salutation and said these words:
"May this moon be blessed for you, son of the Hand of God!
May you win victory over the unbelievers in this very month!
May your rank stay higher than the moon and the sun;
may your light shine in the world until the Day of Gathering."
