Taaq-e-Kasra

طاق کسریٰ

1. كَمْ تَرَكُوْا مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَّعُیُوْنٍ وَّزُرُوْعٍ وَّمَقَامٍ كَرِیْمٍ وَنِعْمَۃٍ كَانُوْا فِیْهَا فَاكِهِیْنَ كَذٰلِكَ وَاَوْرَثْنَا قَوْمًا آخَرِیْنَ فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَیْهِمُ السَّمَآءُ وَالْاَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوْا مُنْظَرِیْنَ۔

   KAM TARA-KOO MIN JANNAA-TIN WA O’YOO-NIN WA ZOROO-IN WA MAQAA-MIN KAREE-MIN WA NE’MATIN KAANOO FEE-HAA FAAKE-HEENA KAZAALE-KA WA AW-RASNAA QAWMAN AAKHE-REENA FA-MAA BA-KAT A’LAIHE-MUS SAMAAA-O WAL ARZO WA MAA KAANOO MUN-ZAREENA.

   How many of the gardens and fountains have they left! And cornfields and noble places! And goodly things wherein they rejoiced, thus (it was) and We gave them as a heritage to another people. So the heaven and the earth did not weep for them, nor were they respited.

   وہ کتنے ہی باغات چھوڑ گئے چشمے کھیتیاں اور اونچے مرتبے اور وہ نعمتیں جن میں خوش تھے اسی طرح ہم نے وہ چیزیں بعد والوں کو دے دیں پس ان پر نہ آسمان رویا اور نہ زمین اور نہ ان کو مہلت ملی۔

2. اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاءِ كَانُوْ وَارِثِیْنَ فَاَصْبَحُوْا مَوْرُوْثِیْنَ لَمْ یَشْكُرُوْا النِّعْمَۃَ فَسُلِبُوْا دُنْیَاهُمْ بِالْمَعْصِیَۃِ اِیَّاكُمْ وَكُفْرَ النِّعَمِ لَا تَحُلُّ بِكُمُ النِّقَمُ۔

   INNA HAAA-OLAA-E KANOO WAARE-SEENA FA-ASBA-HOO MAWROO-SEENA LAM YASH-KORUN NE’MATA FA-SOLE-BOO DUNYAA-HUM BIL MA’SE-YATE IYYAA-KUM WA KUFRAN NE-A’ME LAA TA-HULLO BEKO-MUN NEQAA-MO.

   Indeed these were inheritors then they became the inherited ones they did not thank for the bounties, hence on the basis of their disobedience the world was also taken away from them. Beware! Do not be thankless (deny) of the bounties as you would have to suffer humiliation.

   بے شک یہ وارث ہوئے پھروراثت چھوڑ گئے انہوں نے نعمتوں پر شکر نہ کیاان کی دنیا چھن گئی، نافرمانی کی وجہ سے اس لئے کہ تم نعمتوں پر ناشکری نہ کرو اور تم پر سختی نہ آئے۔
