A’uzo be-jalaale

اَعُوْذُ بِجَلَالِ

1. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

2. اَعُوْذُ بِجَلَالِ وَجْھِکَ الْکَرِیْمِ اَنْ یَنْقَضِیَ عَنِّیْ شَھْرُ رَمَضَانَ اَوْ یَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ مِنْ لَیْلَتِیْ ھٰذِہٖ وَلَکَ قِبَلِیْ تَبِعَۃٌ اَوْ ذَنْۢبٌ تُعَذِّبُنِیْ عَلَیْہِ۔

   A'OOZU BIJALAALI WAJHIKA AL-KAREEMI AN YANQADIYA 'ANNEE SHAHRU RAMADAANA AW YATLU'A AL-FAJRU MIN LAYLATEE HAAZIHEE WALAKA QIBALEE TABI'ATUN AW ZANBUN TU'AZZIBUNEE 'ALAYH.

   I take refuge with the majesty of Thy generous face, lest the month of Ramazan should come to an end for me, or the dawn of this night of mine should break, while there remains against me with Thee a liability or a sin for which Thou wouldst punish me.

   پروردگارا! میں تیرے کریم وجود کے جلال کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں اس بات سے کہ یہ سارا ماہ رمضان گزر جائے یا اس رات کی صبح ہو جائے اور میرے ذمہ کوئی سزا یا گناہ باقی ہو جس پر تو مجھے عذاب کرے ۔

3. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.

   O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔

4. You can also recite Ilaahi waqafa.

   اس دعا کو بھی پڑھے اِلٰهِيْ وَقَفَ
