Ilaahi wa qafas
اِلٰهِيْ وَقَفَ
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اِلٰهِيْ وَقَفَ السَّاۗئِلُوْنَ بِبَابِكَ وَلَاذَ الْفُقَرَاۗءُ بِجَنَابِكَ وَ وَقَفَتْ سَفِيْنَةُ الْمَسَاكِيْنِ عَلٰى سَاحِلِ بَحْرِ جُوْدِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ يَرْجُوْنَ الْجَوَازَ اِلٰى سَاحَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ وَنِعْمَتِكَ اِلٰهِيْ اِنْ كُنْتَ لَا تَرْحَمُ فِيْ هٰذَا الشَّهْرِ الشَّرِيْفِ اِلَّا مَنْ اَخْلَصَ لَكَ فِيْ صِيَامِهٖ وَقِيَامِهٖ فَمَنِ لِّلْمُذْنِبِ الْمُقَصِّرِ اِذَا غَرِقَ فِيْ بَحْرِ ذُنُوْبِهٖ وَآثَامِهٖ۔
ILAAHEE WA-QAFAS SAA'e LOONA BE-BAABE-KA WA LAA ZAL FOQA-RAA-O BE-JANAABE-KA WA WA-QA-FAT SAFEENA-TUL MASAA-KEENE A’LAA SAAHE-LE BAHRE JOODE-KA WA KARAME-KA YARJOO-NAL JAWAA-ZA ILAA SAAHA-TE RAHMATE-KA WA NE’MATE-KA ILAAHEE IN KUNTA LAA TAR-HAMO FEE HAA-ZASH SHAH-RISH SHAREE-FE ILLAA MAN AKH-LASA LAKA FEE SE-YAAME-HI FA-MANIL LIL MUZNE-BIL MOQAS-SERE IZAA GHARE-QA FEE BAHRE ZONOO-BE-HI WA AA-SAAME-HI.
O my God, the beseechers have stood at Your Door, the poor have resorted to Your refuge, and the ship of the needy have cast anchor near the coast of the sea of Your Magnanimity and Generosity, hoping for permission to enter the yard of Your Mercy and Favor. O my God, If You, in this holy month, will have mercy upon none but those who sincerely observe fasting and do acts of worship to You, who will then stand for the sinful and the negligent then they sink in the ocean of their sins and offenses?
اے پروردگار! یہ سائل تیرے دروازہ پر کھڑے ہیں اور ان فقراء نے تیری بارگاہ میں پناہ لے لی ہے مسکینوں کا سفینہ مراد ٹھر گیا ہے تیرے ساحل جود و کرم پر اور مقصد یہ کہ بڑھ کر تیری بارگاہ رحمت و نعمت تک پہنچ جائیں۔ خدایا! اگر تو اس محترم مہینہ میں صرف ان پر رحم کرے گا جو اپنے صیام و قیام میں مخلص ہوں تو اس گناہگار اور تقصیر وار کا کیا ہو گا جو اپنے گناہوں میں ڈوبا ہوا ہے؟
اِلٰهِيْ اِنْ كُنْتَ لَا تَرْحَمُ اِلَّا الْمُطِيْعِيْنَ فَمَنْ لِلْعَاصِيْنَ وَاِنْ كُنْتَ لَا تَقْبَلُ اِلَّا مِنَ الْعَامِلِيْنَ فَمَنِ لِّلْمُقَصِّرِيْنَ اِلٰهِيْ رَبِحَ الصَّاۗئِمُوْنَ وَفَازَ الْقَاۗئِمُوْنَ وَنَجَا اَلْمُخْلِصُوْنَ وَنَحْنُ عَبِيْدُكَ الْمُذْنِبُوْنَ فَارْحَمْنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَاعْتِقْنَا مِنَ النَّارِ بَعَفْوِكَ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
ILAAHEE IN KUNTA LAA TAR-HAMO ILLAL MOTEE-EE’NA FA-MAN LIL-AA’SEENA WA IN KUNTA LAA TAQ-BALO ILLAA MENAL AA’ME-LEENA FA-MANIL LIL-MO-QASSE-REENA ILAAHEE RABE-HAS SAA'e MOONA WA NAJAA AL-MUKHLE-SOONA WA NAHNO A’BEEDO-KAL MUZNE-BOONA FAR-HAMNAA BE-RAHMATE-KA WA’TIQ-NAA MENAN NAARE BA-A’FWE-KA WAGH-FIR-LANAA ZONOO-BANAA BE-RAHMATE-KA YAA AR-HAMAR RAAHE-MEEN.
O my God, if you have mercy upon none but the obedient to You, who will then stand for the disobedient? If You accept none but those who do acts of worship to You, who will then stand for the negligent? O my God, the observers of fasting have won, the doers of acts of worship to You have prospered, and those who act sincerely have been saved. But we, Your sinful servants, beseech Your mercy; so, (please do) have mercy upon us, release us from the chastisement of Hellfire, out of Your pardon, and forgive our sins, in the name of Your mercy. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
خدایا! اگر تو صرف اطاعت گذاروں پر رحم کرے گا تو معصیت کاروں کا کیا ہو گا؟ اور اگر تو صرف با عمل افراد کے اعمال قبول کرے گا تو کوتاہی کرنے والوں کا انجام کیا ہو گا؟ خدایا! روزہ داروں نے فائدہ کما لیا اور نمازیوں نے کامیابی حاصل کر لی اور مخلص نجات پا گئے اب ہم تیرے گناہگار بندے باقی رہ گئے ہیں تو ہم پر بھی اپنی مہربانی کر اور اپنے عفو سے ہمیں بھی آتش جہنم سے آزاد کر، ہمارے گناہ بخش دے اپنی رحمت سے اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
