Mohaddis e Noori says: The letter of supplication to Imam Mahdi (a) has been narrated in various ways and is available in the books of supplication; but the manuscript which I have is not found in any of those books, not even in the chapter Mazaar from Bihar ul Anwaar. There has been made no indication towards this letter even in the chapter of supplication from Bihar ul Anwaar, wherein an attempt was made to collect all the supplications. As this narration has not been mentioned very often, I felt it compulsory to narrate it here. A profound scholar, Mohammad bin Mohammad Tayyib, a cleric of the Safavid Period, narrates the following text in his book named Anees ul Aabideen, from the book As Saadaat…
مرحوم محدث نوری کہتے ہیں کہ استغاثہ کے عریضہ کی حضرت حجت کیلئے متعدد طریقوں سے روایت ہوئی ہے اور دعاؤں کی کتابوں میں کہ جو لوگوں کے درمیان موجود ہے لیکن جو نسخہ میرے پاس ہے وہ ان کتابوں میں موجود نہیں ہے یہاں تک کہ مزار میں (بحار الانوار) اور دعاؤں اور عریضہ کی کتابوں میں بھی ذکر نہیں ہے چونکہ اس کا نسخہ کم یاب ہے اس لئے اس کو یہاں نقل کرتاہوں محمد بن طیب صفویہ حکومت کے علماء میں سے ہے اس نے اپنی کتاب انیس العابدین میں کتاب السعادات سے اس طرح نقل کیا ہے دعائے توسل مہم امور اور حوائج کے لئے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
تَوَسَّلْتُ اِلَیْكَ یَا اَبَالْقَاسِمِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مُوْسَی بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ اَبِیْ طَالِبٍ، اَلنَّبَاِ الْعَظِیْمِ، اَلصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِیْمِ، وَعِصْمَۃِ اللَّاجِیْنَ۔
بِاُمِّكَ سَیِّدَۃِ نِسَائِ الْعَالَمِیْنَ، وَبِآبَائِكَ الطَّاهِرِیْنَ، وَبِاُمَّهَاتِكَ الطَّاهِرَاتِ، بِیَاسِیْنَ وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِیْمِ، وَالْجَبَرُوْتِ الْعَظِیْمِ، وَحَقِیْقَۃِ الْاِیْمَانِ، نُوْرِ النُّوْرِ، وَكِتَابٍ مَّسْطُوْرٍ، اَنْ تَكُوْنَ سَفِیْرِیْ اِلَی اللهِ تَعَالٰی فِی الْحَاجَۃِ لِفُلَانٍ، اَوْ هَلَاكِ فُلَانِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ۔
Tawassaltu ilayka yaa abalqaasimi muhammada ibni al-hasani ibni 'aliyyi ibni muhammadi ibni 'aliyyi ibni moosaa ibni ja'fari ibni muhammadi ibni 'aliyyi ibni al-husayni ibni 'aliyyi ibni abee taalibin, an-naba'i al-'azeemi, as-siraati al-mustaqeemi, wa'ismati al-laajeen.
Bi-ummika sayyidati nisaa'i al-'aalameena, wabi-aabaa'ika at-taahireena, wabi-ummahaatika at-taahiraati, biyaaseena wal-qur'aani al-hakeemi, wal-jabarooti al-'azeemi, wahaqeeqati al-eemaani, noori an-noori, wakitaabin mastoorin, an takoona safeeree ilaa allaahi ta'aalaa fee al-haajati lifulaanin, aw halaaki fulaani ibni fulaan.
I seek means through You O Abal Qasim, Mohammad bin al-Hasan bin Ali bin Mohammad bin Ali bin Musa bin Jafar bin Mohammad bin Ali bin al-Husain bin Ali bin Abi Talib, the great news, the straight path, the protection of those who seek refuge. And through Your mother, the Mistress of all the ladies of the Worlds, and through Your purified predecessors, and your holy mothers, through Yaseen and the wise Quran, and the great sublimity, and the truth of faith, and the light of the light, and the inscribed book, that You become my ambassador towards Almighty Allah to fulfill the demand of so and so, or to destroy so and so.
میں نے آپ کی طرف توسّل کیا، اے ابوالقاسم محمد بن الحسن بن علی بن محمد بن علی بن موسٰی بن جعفر بن محمد بن علی بن الحسین بن علی بن ابی طالب جو النبأ العظیم (عظیم خبر)، الصراط المستقیم (سیدھا راستہ) اور پناہ لینے والوں کی حفاظت ہو۔ میں آپ کی والدہ کے وسیلے سے (جو تمام جہانوں کی عورتوں کی سردار ہیں)، اور آپ کے پاکیزہ آباء کے وسیلے سے، اور آپ کی پاکیزہ ماؤں کے وسیلے سے؛ اور یٰسین اور قرآنِ حکیم کے وسیلے سے؛ اور جبرُوتِ عظیم اور حقیقتِ ایمان اور نورُ النور اور کتابِ مَسطور (لکھی ہوئی کتاب) کے وسیلے سے (اللہ سے سوال کرتا ہوں) کہ آپ اللہ تعالیٰ کے حضور میرے سفیر (وسیلہ) بن جائیں، فلاں کی حاجت کے بارے میں یا فلاں بن فلاں کی ہلاکت/بربادی کے بارے میں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔

فلان بن فلان تک اس دعا کو ایک کاغذ پر لکھ کر پاک گارہ میں رکھ دیں اور جاری پانی میں اور پاکٹوں میں ڈال دیں اور کہیں۔۔۔
یَا عُثْمَانَ بْنَ سَعِیْدٍ، وَیَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ، اَوْصِلَا قِصَّتِیْ اِلٰی صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَیْهِ۔
Yaa 'uthmaana ibna sa'eedin, wayaa muhammada ibna 'uthmaana, awsilaa qissatee ilaa saahibi az-zamaani salawaatu allaahi 'alayh.
O Othman bin Saeed and O Mohammad bin Othman, deliver my story to the Master of the Time, peace be upon him.
اے عثمان بن سعید! اور اے محمد بن عثمان! میری عرضِ حال/فریاد کو صاحبُ الزمانؑ تک پہنچا دو۔ اللہ کی رحمتیں (اور درود) ہوں اُن پر۔
But if we look at the other narrations and the other ways of writing letters, we will comprehend that the correct way must be that while dropping the letter in water, it should be said: O Othman bin Saeed and O Mohammad bin Othman; however, Allah is aware of the truth…
البتہ نسخہ میں اس طرح ذکر ہوا ہے سعید بن عثمان و عثمان بن سعید لیکن روایات کا ملاحظہ اور بعض رقعوں کے طریقوں سے واضح ہوجاتاہے کہ اشتباہ ہوا ہے بلکہ صحیح نسخہ اس طرح ہے۔۔۔
یَا عُثْمَانَ بْنَ سَعِیْدَ، اَوْصِلَا قِصَّتِیْ اِلٰی صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَیْهِ۔
Yaa 'uthmaana ibna sa'eeda, awsilaa qissatee ilaa saahibi az-zamaani salawaatu allaahi 'alayh.
O Othman bin Saeed, deliver my story to the Master of the Time, peace be upon him.
اے عثمان بن سعید! میری یہ بات (میری گزارش) امامِ زمانہؑ تک پہنچا دو، اللہ کی رحمتیں اور درود اُن پر ہوں۔
