On meeting each other on the Day of Ashura.
Salih bin Aqaba narrates from his father who narrates from Imam Baqir (a) who said: Whoever visits Imam Husain (a) on the day of Ashura and stays near his grave for the entire day in the state of weeping, upon meeting Allah (swt), he will be rewarded with the reward of 2000 Hajj, and 2000 Umrah and 2000 battles (Jihad). The reward of every Hajj, Umrah and battle will be similar to someone who performed Hajj and Umrah with the Holy Prophet (s) and the Infallible Imams (a), and fought in their army. I said: My life be sacrificed for you; what should one do if he lives on such a faraway place from where it is not possible for him to reach the grave of Imam Husain (a)? His holiness replied: If it was such, he should go towards a desert or an elevated place of his house and greet Imam Husain (a) by indicating towards him, then vehemently curse upon his killers. Then offer 2 units of prayer and perform all these rituals in the beginning of the day, before noon. Then he should mourn and weep upon Imam Husain (a) and command all those who are present in his house to weep upon his holiness (except for those who hide their faith from others). He should conduct mourning in his house expressing immense grief and restlessness on this tragedy and condole each other. If he performs these acts, I guarantee that he will be rewarded with all those rewards by the Almighty Allah. I said: My life be sacrificed for you, do you take guarantee for him in this manner? His holiness replied: Certainly, I am the guarantor and responsible for whoever performs this. I asked: How should we condole each other? صالح بن عقبہ اپنے باپ سے اس نے امام محمد باقر سے نقل کیا ہے کہ حضرت نے فرمایا جو بھی محرم کے مہینے میں عاشور کے دن امام حسین کی زیارت کرے اور گریہ کی حالت میں حرم میں رہے تو قیامت کے دن دو ہزار حج دو ہزار عمرہ دو ہزار جھاد راہ اسلام کا ثواب کیساتھ خدا سے ملاقات کرتاہے اور ہر جھاد عمرہ اور حج کا ثواب جتنا حضرت رسول خدا اور اماموں کے ساتھ حج اور عمرہ اور ان کے رکاب میں جنگ کرنے کا جتنا ثواب ہے راوی کہتاہے میں نے عرض کیا میں آپ پر قربان ہوجاؤں جو لوگ دور دراز علاقے میں رہتے ہیں اور ان کے لئے ایسے دنوں میں حرم میں نہیں آسکتے ہیں وہ کیا کریں حضرت نے فرمایا اگر کوئی نزدیک سے زیارت نہیں کرسکتاہے تو صحراء میں چلا جائے یا اپنے گھر کی چھت پر جائے اور اشارہ کے ساتھ حضرت کی طرف سلام کرے اور حضرت کے قاتلوں پر لعنت بھیجے اس کے بعد دو رکعت نماز پڑھے اور اس عمل کو زوال آفتاب سے پہلے بجا لائے اس وقت امام حسین پر ندبہ کرے اور گریہ کرے اگر تقیہ کی حالت نہ ہو تو اپنے گھر والوں کو حکم دے کہ گریہ کریں اور عزاداری قائم کریں نالہ و فریاد کرے اور ایک دوسرے کو امام حسین کی مصیبت میں تعزیت و تسلیت پیش کریں۔ جیسا کہ میں نے کہا اس طرح اس عمل کو انجام دیں تو ان تمام ثواب کا خداوند تعالیٰ کی طرف سے میں ضامن ہوں میں نے عرض کیا میں آپ پر قربان ہوجاؤں آپ اس سب ثواب کے ضامن ہیں حضرت نے فرمایا کیوں نہیں میں ضامن ہوں اس شخص کے لئے کہ جو اس عمل کو انجام دے میں نے عرض کیا کس طرح ایک دوسرے کو تسلیت پیش کریں فرمایا کہ کہو اعظم اللہ اجورنا بمصابنا بالحسین وجعلنا و ایّاکم من الطالبین بثارہ مع ولیّہ الامام المھدی من آل محمد علیھم السلام۔۔۔
اَعْظَمَ اللهُ اُجُوْرَنَا بِمُصَابِنَا بِالْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَجَعَلَنَا وَاِيَّاكُمْ مِنَ الطَّالِبِيْنَ بِثَارِهٖ مَعَ وَلِيِّهِ الْاِمَامِ الْمَهْدِيِّ مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ۔
A'zama allaahu ujooranaa bimusaabinaa bil-husayni 'alayhi as-salaamu waja'alanaa wa-iyyaakum mina at-taalibeena bithaarihee ma'a waliyyihi al-imaami al-mahdiyyi min aali muhammadin 'alayhimu as-salaam.
May Allah make our reward and your reward great, for our grief for Husain, peace be on him. May He place us and you from those who help his cause with His representative, the guided Imam from the family of Muhammad, peace be on them.
اللہ زیادہ کرے ہمارے اجر و ثواب کو اس پر جو کچھ ہم امام حسینؑ کی سوگواری وعزاداری میں کرتے ہیں اور ہمیں تمہیں امام حسینؑ کے خون کابدلہ لینے والوں میں قرار دے اپنے ولی امام مہدیؑ کے ہم رکاب ہو کر کہ جو آل محمدؑ میں سے ہیں۔
