Dua of Prophet Yusoof (a) to come out from the Well
کنويں میں سے نکلنے کے لئے حضرت يوسف (ع) کی دعا
Imam Sadiq (a) is reported to have said: When his brothers threw (Prophet) Joseph in the well, Archangel Gabriel came to him and said, “O boy, what are you doing here?” Joseph answered, “My brothers have thrown me in this well.” “Do you like to come out of it?” asked the archangel. “This is up to Allah the Almighty and All-majestic.” answered Joseph, “If He wishes, He will do.” “Allah the All-exalted says to you that if you pray me with this supplicatory prayer, I will take you out of this well,” taught Gabriel. “What is this supplicatory prayer?” asked Joseph. “It is this one,” taught Archangel Gabriel. جب بھائيوں نے حضرت يوسفؑ کو کنويں ميں پھينکا تو جبرائيلؑ آپ کے پاس آئے اور پوچھا آپ يہاں کيا کر رہے ہيں آپؑ نے بتايا کہ ميرے بھائيوں نے مجھے اس کنويں ميں پھينک ديا ہے جبرائيلؑ نے کہا آيا آپ چاہتے ہيں کہ اس کنويں سے باہر نکل جائيں حضرتؑ نے فرمايا يہ تو مشيت خدا ہی سے ممکن ہے کہ وه مجھے اس سے نکال دے، جبرائيلؑ نے کہا حق تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ آپ يہ دعا پڑھيں تاکہ ميں آپ کو کنويں سے باہر نکالوں دو ں، آپؑ نے پو چھا کونسی دعا؟ جبرائيلؑ نے کہا وه دعا يہ ہے۔ حضرت يوسفؑ نے يہ دعا پڑھی تو ايک قافلہ ادھر آيا جس نے ان کو کنويں سے نکالا جيسا کہ قرآن ميں مذکور ہے۔۔۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِاَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ الْمَنَّانُ بَدِيْعُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ ذُوالْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِىْ مِمَّا اَنَا فِيْهِ فَرَجَاً وَمَخْرَجَاً۔
Allaahumma innee as-aloka be-anna lakal hamda laa ilaaha illaa antal mannaa-no badee’us samaa-waate wal arze zul-jalaa-le wal ik-raame an to-salle-ya ‘alaa mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin wa an taj’ala lee mimmaa anaa feehe faraja-an wa makhraja.
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of (the fact) that to You is all praise; there is no god save You, the All-donor, the excellent originator of the heavens and the earth, and the Lord of majesty and honor to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and to prepare for me a relief and way out from what I am in.
اے معبود! ميں تجھ سے سوا ل کرتا ہوں کيونکہ حمد تيرے لئے ہی ہے، نہيں کوئی معبود مگر تو، تو ہے بڑا محسن آسمانوں اور زمين کا پيدا کرنے والا، دبدبے اور بزرگی کا مالک يہ کہ تو رحمت فرما محمدؐ و آل محمدؑ پر اور ميں جس تکليف و مشکل ميں ہوں ميرے لئے اس سے نکلنے کی راه بنا دے۔
