سید ابن طاؤس اپنی کتاب جمال الاسبو میں تحریر فرماتے ہیں کہ، جو کوئی کسی حکمران یا کسی دشمن سے غم اور خوف زدہ ہو، تو اسے چاہیے کہ وہ بدھ، جمعرات اور جمعہ کو روزہ رکھے اور جمعہ کی شام کو یہ دعا پڑھے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَيْ رَبَّاهُ اَيْ سَيِّدَاهُ اَيْ سَنَدَاهُ اَيْ اَمَلَاهُ اَيْ رَجَايَاهُ اَيْ عِـمَادَاهُ اَيْ كَهْفَاهُ اَيْ حِصْنَاهُ اَيْ حِرْزَاهُ اَيْ فَـخْرَاهُ بِكَ آمَنْتُ وَلَكَ اَسْلَمْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَلِبَابِكَ قَرَعْتُ وَبِفِنَآئِكَ نَزَلْتُ وَبِـحَبْلِكَ اعْتَصَمْتُ وَبِكَ اسْتَغَثْتُ وَبِكَ اَعُوْذُ وَبِكَ اَلُوْذُ وَعَلَيْكَ اَتَوَكَّلُ وَاِلَيْكَ اَلْـجَاُ وَاَعْتَصِمُ وَبِكَ اَسْتَجِيْرُ فِيْ جَـمِيْعِ اُمُوْرِيْ وَاَنْتَ غِيَاثِيْ وَعِـمَادِيْ وَاَنْتَ عِصْمَتِيْ وَرَجَآئِيْ وَاَنْتَ اللهُ رَبِّيْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِـحَمْدِكَ عَـمِلْتُ سُوْۗءًا وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُـحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهٖ وَاغْفِرْ لِيْ وَارْحَمْنِيْ وَخُذْ بِيَدِيْ وَاَنْقِذْنِيْ وَوَفِّقْنِيْ وَاكْفِنِيْ وَاكْلَاْنِيْ وَارْعَنِيْ فِيْ لَيْلِيْ وَنَهَارِيْ وَاِمْسَآئِيْ وَاِصْبَاحِيْ وَمُقَامِيْ وَسَفَرِيْ يَا اَجْوَدَ الْاَجْوَدِيْنَ وَيَا اَكْرَمَ الْاَكْرَمِيْنَ وَيَا اَعْدَلَ الْفَاضِلِيْنَ وَيَا اِلٰهَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَالْآخِرِيْنَ وَيَا مَالِكَ يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ وَيَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا حَيًّا لَا يَـمُوْتُ يَا حَيُّ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ بِـمُحَمَّدٍ يَا اَللهُ بِعَلِيٍّ يَا اَللهُ بِفَاطِـمَةَ يَا اَللهُ بِالْـحَسَنِ يَا اَللهُ بِالْـحُسَيْنِ يَا اَللهُ بِعَلِيٍّ يَا اَللهُ بِـمُحَمَّدٍ يَا اللهُ ۔
Ay rabbaaho ay sayyedaaho ay sanadaaho ay amalaaho ay rajaayaaho ay e’maadaaho ay kahfaaho ay hisnaaho ay hirzaaho ay fakhraaho beka aamanto wa laka aslamto wa a’layka tawakkalto wa lebaabeka qara’to wa befenaaa-eka nazalto wa behableka’ tasamto wa bekas taghasto wa beka a-o’ozo wa beka aloozo wa a’layka atawakkalo wa elayka alja-o wa a-a’tasemo wa beka astajeero fee jamee-e’ omooree wa anta gheyaasee wa e’maadee wa anta i’smatee wa rajaaaee wa antal laaho rabbee laa elaaha illaa anta subhaanaka wa behamdeka a’milto sooo-an wa zalamto nafsee fasalle a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi wagh fir lee war hamnee wa khuz beyadee wa anqiznee wa waffiqnee wak fenee wak laanee war a’nee fee layaalee wa nahaaree wa imsaaa-ee wa isbaahee wa moqaamee wa safaree yaa ajwaadal ajwadeena wa yaa akramal akrameena wa yaa a-a’dalal faazeleena wa yaa elaahal awwaleena wal aakhereena wa yaa maaleka yawmid deene wa yaa arhamar raahemeena yaa haiyyo yaa qaiyyoomo yaa haiyyan laa yamooto yaa haiyyo laa elaaha illaa anta bemohammadin yaa allaaho be-a’liyyin yaa allaaho befaatemata yaa allaaho bilhasana yaa allaaho bilhusayne yaa allaaho bea’liyyin yaa allaaho bemohammadin yaa allaaho.
O my Lord! O my Master! O my Support! O my Desire! O my Hope! O my Pillar! O my Reliance! O my Asylum! O my Haven! O my Pride! On You I believe, to You I submit, upon You I rely, at Your door I knock, at Your threshold I descend, to Your rope I resort, to You I appeal for aid, I seek refuge in You, I feel secure in You, upon You I rely, to You I submit and adhere, to You I take respite in all my affairs, you are my succor and support, You are my protection and hope, You are Allah, my Lord, there is no one except You, glory and praise be to You, I have erred and oppressed myself. Then send blessings upon Muhammad and his progeny. Forgive me, have mercy on me, take my hand, deliver me, give me success, be sufficient for me, save me, be my guardian in my night and my day, in my evening and my morning, in my residence and my travel. O Most Munificent of the most munificent! O Most Generous of the most generous! O most Just of the excellent ones, O Lord of the first and the last, O Master of the Day of Justice, O Most Merciful of all, O the Ever-living, the Self-subsisting; O Ever-living One Who never dies! O Ever-living; there is no god save You! By Muhammad O Allah! By Ali O Allah! By Fatema O Allah! By Hasan O Allah! By Hussain O Allah! By Ali O Allah! By Muhammad O Allah!
اے میرے رب! اے میرے آقا! اے میرے سہارے! اے میری امید! اے میری آرزو! اے میرے ستون! اے میری پناہ! اے میرا قلعہ! اے میری حفاظت! اے میری عزت و فخر! میں تجھی پر ایمان لایا، تیرے ہی آگے سرِ تسلیم خم کیا، تجھی پر بھروسہ کیا۔ میں نے تیرا در کھٹکھٹایا، تیرے آنگن میں حاضر ہوا، تیرے دامن کو مضبوطی سے تھاما، تجھ ہی سے فریاد کی، تجھ ہی سے پناہ مانگی، تجھ ہی کی طرف لوٹتا ہوں، تجھ ہی پر توکل کرتا ہوں، اور ہر حال میں تجھ ہی کی پناہ چاہتا ہوں۔ میرے تمام کاموں میں تو ہی میرا مددگار ہے، تو ہی میرا سہارا ہے، تو ہی میری حفاظت ہے، اور تو ہی میری امید ہے۔ تو ہی اللہ میرا رب ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ تو پاک ہے اور سب تعریف تیرے لیے ہے۔ میں نے برا کام کیا اور اپنے اوپر ظلم کیا۔ پس محمدؐ اور اُن کی آلؑ پر درود بھیج، مجھے بخش دے، مجھ پر رحم فرما، میرا ہاتھ تھام لے، مجھے بچا لے، مجھے توفیق دے، میرے لیے کافی ہو جا، میری نگہبانی فرما، اور رات دن شام و صبح گھر میں ہو یا سفر میں، ہر حال میں میری حفاظت و رہنمائی فرما۔ اے سب سے بڑھ کر عطا کرنے والے! اے سب سے بڑھ کر کرم کرنے والے! اے سب سے زیادہ انصاف کرنے والے! اے پہلے اور پچھلوں کے معبود! اے روزِ جزا کے مالک! اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے! اے زندہ! اے قائم رکھنے والے! اے وہ زندہ جو کبھی نہیں مرتا! اے زندہ! تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ اے اللہ! محمدؐ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! علیؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! فاطمہؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! حسنؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! حسینؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! (انہی پاک ہستیوں کے وسیلے سے) میری دعا قبول فرما۔
Hasan Ibn Mahboob mentions that when I presented this dua before Imam Reza (a) he (a) made addition in it in this way…
حسن ابن محبوب نے فرمایا کہ جب میں نے اس دعا کو امام رضاؑ کے سامنے پش کیا تو انہوں نے اس طرح سے اس میں اضافہ کیا۔۔۔
بِـجَعْفَرٍ يَا اَللهُ بِـمُوْسٰى يَا اَللهُ بِعَلِيٍّ يَا اَللهُ بِـمُحَمَّدٍ يَا اَللهُ بِعَلِيٍّ يَا اَللهُ بِالْـحَسَنِ يَا اَللهُ بِـحُجَّتِكَ وَخَلِيْفَتِكَ فِيْ بِلَادِكَ يَا اَللهُ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُـحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُـحَمَّدٍ وَخُذْ بِنَاصِيَةِ مَنْ اَخَافُهٗ ۔
Be-ja’farin yaa allaah, bemoosaa yaa allaah, be-a’liyyin yaa allaah, be-mohammadin yaa allaah, be-a’liyyin yaa allaah, bil-hasane yaa allaah, be-hujjateka wa khaleefateka fee belaadeka yaa allaah, salle a’laa mohammadinw wa aale mohammadin wa khuz be-naaseyate man akhaafohu.
By Ja’far O Allah! By Moosa O Allah! By Ali O Allah! By Muhammad O Allah! By Ali O Allah! By Hasan O Allah! By Your Proof and Your Vicegerent in Your cities O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad. Hold it by its forelock from whom I fear.
اے اللہ! جعفرؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! موسٰیؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! علیؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! محمدؐ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! علیؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! حسنؑ کے وسیلے سے، اے اللہ! اپنی حجّت اور اپنے خلیفہ کے وسیلے سے جو تیری زمین میں ہے، اے اللہ! محمدؐ اور آلِ محمدؑ پر درود بھیج، اور جس سے مجھے خوف ہے اس پر اپنا اختیار و گرفت قائم فرما (یعنی اسے میرے شر سے روک دے اور مجھے اس کے خطرے سے محفوظ رکھ)۔
Here you take the name of the enemy from whom you are afraid. Then say…
یہاں پر اپنے دشمن کا نام لو جس سے تم خوف زدہ ہو اور پھر کہو۔۔۔
وَ ذَلِّلْ لِيْ صَعْبَهٗ وَسَهِّلْ لِيْ قِيَادَهٗ وَرُدَّ عَنِّيْ نَافِرَةَ قَلْبِهٖ وَارْزُقْنِيْ خَيْرَهٗ وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّيْ شَرَّهٗ فَاِنِّيْ بِكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعُوْذُ وَاَلُوْذُ وَبِكَ اَثِقُ وَعَلَيْكَ اَعْتَمِدُ وَاَتَوَكَّلُ فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُـحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُـحَمَّدٍ وَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّيْ فَاِنَّكَ غِيَاثُ الْمُسْتَغِيْثِيْنَ وَجَارُ الْمُسْتَجِيْرِيْنَ وَلَـجَاُ اللَّاجِيْنَ وَاَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
Wa zallil lee sa’-bahu wa sahhil lee qeyaadahu wa rudda a’nnee naaferata qalbehi war zuqnee khayrahu was rif a’nnee sharrahu fa-innee beka allaahumma a-o’ozo wa aloozo wa beka aseqo wa a’layka a-a’tamedo wa atawakkalo fa-salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammadin was rifho a’nnee fa-innaka gheyaasul mustagheeseena wa jaarul mustajeereena wa laja-ul laajeena wa arhamur raahemeen.
And remove for me his harshness, make easy for me his trap, repel from me hatred of his heart, grant me his goodness, resist from his evil; then surely O my Allah! I seek refuge and feel secure in You, on You I trust, upon You I rely and entrust, then send blessings upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad and bring him back to me, then surely You are Aid of those who seek assistance, and Protector of protection-seekers! And refuge of the refuge-seekers! And Most Merciful.
اے اللہ! جس شخص (معاملے) سے مجھے خوف ہے اس کی سختی میرے لیے نرم کر دے، اور اس کی باگ (قابو) میرے لیے آسان کر دے۔ اس کے دل کی جو بے رُخی، دوری یا نفرت ہے اسے مجھ سے لوٹا دے (یعنی محبت و نرمی پیدا کر دے)۔ اور مجھے اس کی طرف سے بھلائی نصیب فرما اور اس کی طرف سے شرّ مجھ سے دور کر دے۔ کیونکہ اے اللہ! میں تجھ ہی کی پناہ لیتا ہوں، تجھ ہی کی طرف جھکتا (لوٹتا) ہوں، تجھ ہی پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں، تجھ ہی پر اعتماد کرتا ہوں اور تجھ ہی پر توکل کرتا ہوں۔ پس محمدؐ اور آلِ محمدؑ پر درود بھیج، اور اس (خطرے / شر) کو مجھ سے دور فرما۔ بے شک تو فریاد کرنے والوں کا مددگار ہے، پناہ مانگنے والوں کی پناہ ہے، سہارے کے طالبوں کا سہارا ہے، اور تو سب سے بڑھ کر رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
