Nad-e-Ali, ‘the calling upon Ali,’ is a well-known invocation whose words call upon Imam Ali (a) as the manifestor of wonders and a helper in difficulty, that grief and sorrow may be lifted. It is traditionally associated with the Battle of Uhud and is widely recited, though it is not found with a chain of transmission in the classical hadith collections. This is the shorter (saghir) form.

When all the notable companions of the Holy Prophet failed to make headway at Khaybar, Jibrail came with the text of Naadi Ali and asked the Holy Prophet to call Ali through this. The Holy Prophet accordingly recited this divine revelation, and Mawla Ali who was staying at home because of an eye infection, came and conquered the fort of Khaybar. Naadi Ali, both large and small, are very effective for all purposes, particularly to overcome enemy, to come through tight situations, to withstand crises, to avoid accidents, and to have freedom from danger.
جس شخص کو کوئی امر اہم درپیش ہو تو ۷ مرتبہ اور اگر حاکم کے پاس جائے تو ۳ مرتبہ اس دعا کو اپنے اوپر دم کرے اور واسطےطلب فرزند کے روزانہ ۱۰ مرتبہ پڑھے اور واسطے ادائے قرض کے روزانہ بعد نماز صبح کے ۲۱ بار پڑھے اور واسطے حاجت روائی کے روزانہ ۱۵ مرتبہ پڑھے اگر عورت کو دردزہ ہو تو ۵ بار پانی پر پڑھ کر پلائے دشمن پر تیر بہدف ہے اور بازو پر باندھے یا اپنے پاس رکھے تمام آفات دنیاوی سے نجات ہو۔تجربہ بتاتا ہے کہ ناد علی مبارک، بیماری کے لئے (خاک) شفا ہے حاجتمندوں کے لئے دُر مقصود ہے طالب دنیا کے لئے کیمیا ہے بہادروں کے لئے شمشیر ہے، مظلوموں کے لئے سپر ہے ڈرنے والوں کے لئے حرز معصوم ہے غرض یہ کہ جس کام کے لئے بھی اول و آخر ۳ مرتبہ درود پڑھ کر بصدق دل و خلوص نیت ان کلمات کو ۷ مرتبہ زبان پر جاری کرنے کے بعد بوسیلہ محمد مصطفٰیؐ و علی المرتضٰیؑ اور ان کی آل پاکؑ خدا سے دعا کی جائے گی تو انشاءاللہ مستجاب ہوگی۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
نَادِ عَلِیًّا مَّظْھَرَ الْعَجَآئِبِ تَجِدْہٗ عَوْنًا لَّكَ فِیْ النَّوَآئِبِ كُلُّ ھَمٍّ وَّغَمٍّ سَیَنْجَلِیْ بِعَظَمَتِكَ یَااَللہُ بِنُبُوَّتِكَ یَامُحَمَّدُ بِوِلَایَتِكَ یَاعَلِیُّ یَاعَلِیُّ یَاعَلِیُّ اَدْرِكْنِیْ۔
Naadi 'aliyyan mazhara al-'ajaa'ibi tajid-hoo 'awnan laka fee an-nawaa'ibi kullu hammin waghammin sayanjalee bi'azamatika yaa allaahu binubuwwatika yaa muhammadu biwilaayatika yaa 'aliyyu yaa 'aliyyu yaa 'aliyyu adriknee.
Call Ali, The Manifestor of Wonders Thou shalt find him a helper unto thee in thy difficulties Presently all worries and sorrows will be removed By thy Greatness O Lord By thy Apostleship o Muhammad By thy Authority O Ali, O Ali, O Ali Come to my help!
عجائب خدا کے جلوہ بردار علی ابن ابی طالبؑ کو ذرا پکارو تو سہی تم ہر مصیبت و بلا میں ان کو اپنا مشکلکشا پاؤگے۔ اے محمدؐ آپ کی نبوت اور اے علیؑ آپ کی ولایت سے ہر رنج و غم تیری عظمت سے عنقریب دور ہو جائے گا اس لئے عرض ہے کہ ہماری خبر لیجئے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
