Her sermon to the people who seized her husband's right.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
لَا عَهْدَ لِیْ بِقَوْمٍ اَسْوَءَ مَحْضَرٍ مِّنْكُمْ، تَرَكْتُمْ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ جِنَازَۃً بَیْنَ اَیْدِیْنَا، وَقَطَعْتُمْ اَمْرَكُمْ فِیْمَا بَیْنَكُمْ، فَلَمْ تُؤَمَّرُوْنَا وَلَمْ تَرَوْا لَنَا حَقَّنَا، كَاَنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَعْلَمُوْا مَا قَالَ یَوْمَ غَدِیْرِ خُمٍّ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ عَقَدَ لَهٗ یَوْمَئِذٍ الْوَلَاءَ، لِیَقْطَعَ مِنْكُمْ بِذٰلِكَ مِنْهَا الَّرِجَاۗئَ، وَلٰكِنَّكُمْ قَطَعْتُمُ الْاَسْبَابَ بَیْنَكُمْ وَبَیْنَ نَبِیِّكُمْ، وَاللهُ حَسِیْبٌ بَیْنَنَا وَبَیْنَكُمْ فِی الدُّنِیَا وَالْآخِرَۃِ۔
Laa 'ahda lee biqawmin aswa'a mahdarin minkum, taraktum rasoola allaahi jinaazatan bayna aydeenaa, waqata'tum amrakum feemaa baynakum, falam tuwmmaroonaa walam taraw lanaa haqqanaa, kaannakum lam ta'lamoo maa qaala yawma ghadeeri khummin wallaahi laqad 'aqada lahoo yawma'izin al-walaa'a, liyaqta'a minkum bizaalika minhaa allarijaa'a, walaakinnakum qata'tumu al-asbaaba baynakum wabayna nabiyyikum, wallaahu haseebun baynanaa wabaynakum fee ad-duniyaa wal-aakhirati. auto
I have never known a people with a worse presence than you. You left the Messenger of Allah lying as a corpse before us, and you settled your affair among yourselves without consulting us, and without recognizing our right. It is as though you did not know what he said on the day of Ghadir Khumm. By Allah, on that day he bound allegiance to him, so that by it he might cut off from you any hope (of diverting it elsewhere). But you severed the ties between yourselves and your Prophet. And Allah is sufficient as a Reckoner between us and you, in this world and the Hereafter.
تمہاری طرح کی ملت میں نے نہیں دیکھی جو بے وفا اور معاملات میں بری ہو، رسول خدا کا جنازہ ہمارے ہاتھوں میں چھوڑ کر اپنے قول و قرار اور وعدوں کو پھاڑ دیا ہے اور بھول گئے ہو ہمیں خلافت سے تو محروم کرہی دیا کیا ہمارے لئے کسی قسم کے حق کے بھی قائل نہیں ہو گویا غدیرخم والے واقعہ سے آگاہی نہیں رکھتے۔ خدا کی قسم اس دن پیغمبر اسلامؐ نے امیر المومنین کی ولایت کو نہ فقط بتایا بلکہ لوگوں سے بیعت بھی لی تاکہ تم جیسے موقع پرست لوگوں کی امیدوں کو ختم کریں لیکن تم نے پیغمبر اسلامؐ سے تعلقات کے رشتوں کو پارہ پارہ کردیا، تو جان لو کہ دنیا و آخرت میں اللہ تعالیٰ ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان فیصلہ کردے گا۔
