نیز اسی مکارم الاخلاق کتاب میں امام جعفر صادق ؑ سے روایت کی گئی ہے کہ آپ نے فرمایا :جب بھی تم میں سے کوئی شخص خدا کی بارگاہ میں استغاثہ کرے تو اسے ۲ رکعت نماز ادا کرنا چاہیے اور نماز کے بعد سر سجدے میں رکھ کر یہ دعا پڑھے۔۔۔
يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ يَا عَلِىُّ يَا سَيِّدَىِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِكُمَا اَسْتَغِيْثُ اِلَى اللهِ تَعَالٰى يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا عَلِىُّ اَسْتَغِيْثُ بِكُمَا يَا غَوْثَاهُ بِاللهِ وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيْ وَفَاطِمَةَ۔

یا محمدؐ یا رسول ؐاللہ یا علی ؑ اے مومنین و مومنات کے سردارو!میں آپ کے واسطہ سے خدا کے حضور استغاثہ کرتا ہو ں یا محمدؐ یا علی ؑ آپ دونوں سے استغاثہ کرتا ہوں اے فریادرس، خداکے واسطے سے محمد مصطفیٰ ؐو علی ؑ و فاطمہ ؑکے واسطے سے۔۔۔

…Through you, I seek a means of approach to Allah, the Exalted.
۔۔۔خدا کے سامنے آپ کو وسیلہ بناتا ہوں۔
Once you do so, inshallah they will intercede for you to Almighty Allah to grant you His aid at that very moment.
یقینًا یہ ذوات مقدسہ اسی وقت تمہاری مدد کو پہنچیں گی انشاء اللہ۔
