When you wake up to offer the Night Prayer, you may drink three doses of that water and perform Wuzu with the rest of it. You may then turn your face towards the qiblah direction, recite the Azaan and Iqamah, and offer a 2 rakat namaz, reciting whatever Surah you would like to recite. مکارم الاخلاق میں ہے کہ جب تم رات کو سونے لگو تو ایک پاک صاف برتن میں پانی بھر کے اپنے پاس رکھو اور پاک کپڑے سے اس کا منہ باندھ دو جب رات کے آخری حصے میں نماز تہجد کے لئے اٹھو تو اس برتن سے تین گھونٹ پانی پیو اور بقیہ پانی سے وضو کر کے قبلہ رخ ہوکر اذان و اقامت کہو اور ۲ رکعت نماز ادا کرو ان ۲ رکعتوں میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد جو سورہ چاہو پڑھو جب حمد اور سورہ پڑھ لو تو رکوع میں جا کر۲۵ مرتبہ کہو۔۔۔
يَا غِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيْثِيْنَ۔

اے فریاد کرنے والوں کے فریاد رس۔
When you stand erect again after the ruku, you may repeat the same statement 25 times. In the two prostrations of the prayer and the position of sitting between them, you may repeat the same statement 25 times each. When you stand up for offering the 2nd rakat, you may do the same thing as exactly as you have done in the 1st rakat. By this, you have repeated this statement 300 times. پھر رکوع سے سر اٹھا کر یہی ذکر ۲۵ مرتبہ کہواور سجدے میں جاکر بھی ۲۵ مرتبہ یہی کہو پھر دوسرے سجدے میں جاکر ۲۵ مرتبہ یہی کہو اور سجدے سے سر اٹھا کر ۲۵ مرتبہ یہی کہو اس کے بعد دوسری رکعت کے لئے کھڑے ہو جاؤ اور اسے بھی مذکورہ طریقے سے پورا کرو اس طرح ذکر کی مجموعی تعداد ۳۰۰ ہوجاتی ہے پھر تشہد و سلام پڑھ کر نماز کو تمام کرو سلام کے بعد اپنا سر آسمان کی طرف بلند کر کے ۳۰ مرتبہ کہو۔۔۔
مِنَ الْعَبْدِ الذَّلِيْلِ اِلَى الْمَوْلَى الْجَلِيْلِ۔
Mina al-'abdi az-zaleeli ilaa al-mawlaa al-jaleel.
