Surah Takaasur (102, 8 ayat)

سورۂ تکاثر

1. Vying In Exuberance (Makki)

2. The Holy Prophet (s) said that whoever recites this Surah before going to sleep at night will be saved from the torments of the grave. If this Surah is recited in waajib namaz, the reciter will get the reward of 100 martyrs. If recited in the nawafil prayers, he will get the reward of 50 martyrs. It is especially recommended to recite Surah Takaasur in the Asr prayers and the person who does this remains under the protection of Allah until the day ends. Recitation of this Surah is a cure from headaches.

   رسول اکرمؐ نے فرمایا:جس نے سونے سے پہلے سورۂ تکاثر کی تلاوت کی وہ عذابِ قبر سے محفوظ رہےگا۔ (مجمع البیان،ج۱۰ص۴۳۰)

3. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

4. اَلْهٰكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ

   AL-HAAKUMU AT-TAKAATHUR

   Abundance diverts you

   تمہیں باہمی مقابلہ کثرت مال و اولاد نے غافل بنا دیا۔

5. حَتّٰى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ

   HATTAA ZURTUMU AL-MAQAABIR

   Until you come to the graves.

   یہاں تک کہ تم نے قبروں سے ملاقات کر لی۔

6. كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ

   KALLAA SAWFA TA'LAMOON

   Nay! you shall soon know

   دیکھو تمہیں عنقریب معلوم ہو جائے گا۔

7. ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ

   THUMMA KALLAA SAWFA TA'LAMOON

   Nay! Nay! you shall soon know.

   اور پھر خوب معلوم ہو جائے گا۔

8. كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِيْنِ

   KALLAA LAW TA'LAMOONA 'ILMA AL-YAQEEN

   Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge

   دیکھو اگر تمہیں یقینی علم ہو جاتا۔

9. لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيْمَ

   LATARAWUNNA AL-JAHEEM

   You should most certainly have seen the hell;

   کہ تم جہنّم کو ضرور دیکھو گے۔

10. ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِيْنِ

    THUMMA LATARAWUNNAHAA 'AYNA AL-YAQEEN

    Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty;

    پھر اسے اپنی آنکھوں دیکھے یقین کی طرح دیکھو گے۔

11. ثُمَّ لَتُسْئَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيْمِ

    THUMMA LATUS'ALUNNA YAWMA'IZIN 'ANI AN-NA'EEM

    Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons.

    اور پھر تم سے اس دن نعمت کے بارے میں سوال کیا جائے گا۔

12. صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ۔

    SADAQA ALLAAHU AL-'ALIYYU AL-'AZEEM.

    Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

    اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
