Surah Takveer (81, 29 ayat)

سورۂ تکویر

1. Folded Up (Makki)

2. The Holy Prophet (s) said that the person who recites this Surah will be happy on the day when the book of deeds of people will be opened. Whoever wishes that Allah (s) should show him His Mercy on the Day of Judgement should recite this Surah. Recitation of this Surah is especially good for the eyes. It improves vision and removes any ailments of the eyes.

   رسول اکرمؐنےفرمایا:جو شخص چاہتا ہے کہ روزِ قیامت اس کی آنکھیں مجھے دیکھیں وہ سورۂ تکویر کی تلاوت کرے۔ (مجمع البیان ج۱۰ص۲۷۳)

3. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

4. اِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ

   IZAA ASH-SHAMSU KUWWIRAT

   When the sun is covered

   جب چادر آفتاب کو لپیٹ دیا جائے گا۔

5. وَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ انْكَدَرَتْ

   WA-IZAA AN-NUJOOMU INKADARAT

   And when the stars darken

   جب تارے گر پڑیں گے۔

6. وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ

   WA-IZAA AL-JIBAALU SUYYIRAT

   And when the mountains are made to pass away

   جب پہاڑ حرکت میں آجائیں گے۔

7. وَاِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ

   WA-IZAA AL-'ISHAARU 'UTTILAT

   And when the camels are left untended

   جب عنقریب جننے والی اونٹنیاں معطل کر دی جائیں گی۔

8. وَاِذَا الْوُحُوْشُ حُشِرَتْ

   WA-IZAA AL-WUHOOSHU HUSHIRAT

   And when the wild animals are made to go forth

   جب جانوروں کو اکٹھا کیا جائے گا۔

9. وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ

   WA-IZAA AL-BIHAARU SUJJIRAT

   And when the seas are set on fire

   جب دریا بھڑک اٹھیں گے۔

10. وَاِذَا النُّفُوْسُ زُوِّجَتْ

    WA-IZAA AN-NUFOOSU ZUWWIJAT

    And when souls are united

    جب روحوں کو جسموں سے جوڑ دیا جائے گا۔

11. وَاِذَا الْمَوْءٗدَةُ سُئِلَتْ

    WA-IZAA AL-MAW'OODATU SU'ILAT

    And when the female infant buried alive is asked

    اور جب زندہ درگور (زندہ دفنائی گئی) لڑکیوں کے بارے میں سوال کیا جائے گا۔

12. بِاَيِّ ذَنْۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ

    BI-AYYI ZANBIN QUTILAT

    For what sin she was killed

    کہ انہیں کس گناہ میں مارا گیا ہے۔

13. وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ

    WA-IZAA AS-SUHUFU NUSHIRAT

    And when the books are spread

    اور جب نامہ اعمال منتشر کر دیئے جائیں گے۔

14. وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ

    WA-IZAA AS-SAMAA'U KUSHITAT

    And when the heaven has its covering removed

    اور جب آسمان کا چھلکا اُتار دیا جائے گا۔

15. وَاِذَا الْجَحِيْمُ سُعِّرَتْ

    WA-IZAA AL-JAHEEMU SU''IRAT

    And when the hell is kindled up

    اور جب جہنّم کی آگ بھڑکا دی جائے گی۔

16. وَاِذَا الْجَنَّةُ اُزْلِفَتْ

    WA-IZAA AL-JANNATU UZLIFAT

    And when the garden is brought nigh

    اور جب جنّت قریب تر کر دی جائے گی۔

17. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّآ اَحْضَرَتْ

    'ALIMAT NAFSUN MAA AHDARAT

    Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared.

    تب ہر نفس کو معلوم ہو گا کہ اس نے کیا حاضر کیا ہے۔

18. فَلَآ اُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ

    FALAA UQSIMU BIL-KHUNNAS

    But nay! I swear by the stars

    تو میں ان ستاروں کی قسم کھاتا ہوں جو پلٹ جانے والے ہیں۔

19. اَلْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ

    AL-JAWAARI AL-KUNNAS

    That run their course (and) hide themselves

    چلنے والے اور چُھپ جانے والے ہیں۔

20. وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا عَسْعَسَ

    WALLAYLI IZAA 'AS'AS

    And the night when it departs

    اور رات کی قسم جب ختم ہونے کو آئے۔

21. وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَ

    WAS-SUBHI IZAA TANAFFAS

    And the morning when it brightens

    اور صبح کی قسم جب سانس لینے لگے۔

22. اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِيْمٍ

    INNAHOO LAQAWLU RASOOLIN KAREEM

    Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger

    بے شک یہ ایک معزز فرشتے کا بیان ہے۔

23. ذِيْ قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِيْنٍ

    ZEE QUWWATIN 'INDA ZEE AL-'ARSHI MAKEEN

    The possessor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion

    وہ صاحبِ قوت ہے اور صاحبِ عرش کی بارگاہ کا مکین ہے۔

24. مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ اَمِيْنٍ

    MUTAA'IN THAMMA AMEEN

    One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust.

    وہ وہاں قابل اطاعت اور پھر امانت دار ہے۔

25. وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُوْنٍ

    WAMAA SAAHIBUKUM BIMAJNOON

    And your companion is not gone mad.

    اور تمہارا ساتھی پیغمبر دیوانہ نہیں ہے۔

26. وَلَقَدْ رَاٰهُ بِالْاُفُقِ الْمُبِيْنِ

    WALAQAD RA'AAHU BIL-UFUQI AL-MUBEEN

    And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon.

    اور اس نے فرشتہ کو بلند اُفق پر دیکھا ہے۔

27. وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِيْنٍ

    WAMAA HUWA 'ALAA AL-GHAYBI BIDANEEN

    Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer.

    اور وہ غیب کے بارے میں بخیل نہیں ہے۔

28. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطٰنٍ رَّجِيْمٍ

    WAMAA HUWA BIQAWLI SHAYTAANIN RAJEEM

    Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan

    اور یہ قرآن کسی شیطانِ رجیم کا قول نہیں ہے۔

29. فَاَيْنَ تَذْهَبُوْنَ

    FA-AYNA TAZHABOON

    Whither then will you go?

    تو تم کدھر چلے جا رہے ہو۔

30. اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ

    IN HUWA ILLAA ZIKRUN LIL'AALAMEEN

    It is naught but a reminder for the nations

    یہ صرف عالمین کے لئے ایک نصیحت کا سامان ہے۔

31. لِمَنْ شَآءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ يَّسْتَقِيْمَ

    LIMAN SHAA'A MINKUM AN YASTAQEEM

    For him among you who pleases to go straight.

    جو تم میں سے سیدھا ہونا چاہے۔

32. وَمَا تَشَآءُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ يَّشَآءَ اللهُ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ

    WAMAA TASHAA'OONA ILLAA AN YASHAA'A ALLAAHU RABBU AL-'AALAMEEN

    And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds.

    اور تم لوگ کچھ نہیں چاہ سکتے مگر یہ کہ عالمین کا پروردگار خدا چاہے۔

33. صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ۔

    SADAQA ALLAAHU AL-'ALIYYU AL-'AZEEM.

    Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

    اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
