Surah Lail (92, 21 ayat)
92| سورۂ لیل |21
- Night (Makki)
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشٰى
WALLAILI IZAA YAGHSHAA.
I swear by the night when it draws a veil
رات کی قسم جب وہ دن کو ڈھانپ لے۔
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰى
WANNAHAARI IZAA TAJALLA.
And the day when it shines in brightness
اور دن کی قسم جب وہ چمک جائے۔
وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُنْثٰٓى
WA MAA KHALAQAZ ZAKARA WAL UNTHAA.
And the creating of the male and the female
اور اس کی قسم جس نے مرد اور عورت کو پیدا کیا ہے۔
اِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتّٰى
INNA SA’YAKUM LASHATTAA.
Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends).
بے شک تمہاری کوششیں مختلف قسم کی ہیں۔
فَاَمَّا مَنْ اَعْطٰى وَاتَّقٰى
FA AMMAA MAN A’TAA WATTAQAA.
Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil)
پھر جس نے مال عطا کیا اور تقویٰ اختیار کیا۔
وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنٰى
WA SADDAQA BIL HUSNAA.
And accepts the best
اور نیکی کی تصدیق کی۔
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلْيُسْرٰى
FASANU YASSIRUHOO LILYUSRAA.
We will facilitate for him the easy end.
تو اس کے لئے ہم آسانی کا انتظام کر دیں گے۔
وَاَمَّا مَنْۢ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنٰى
WA AMMAA MAN BAKHILA WASTAGHNAA.
And as for him who is Parsimonius and considers himself free from need (of Allah)
اور جس نے بخل کیا اور لاپروائی برتی۔
وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنٰى
WA KAZZABA BIL HUSNAA.
And rejects the best
اور نیکی کو جھٹلایا ہے۔
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلْعُسْرٰى
FASANU YASSIRUHOO LIL’USRAA.
We will facilitate for him the difficult end.
اس کے لئے سختی کی راہ ہموار کر دیں گے۔
وَمَا يُغْنِيْ عَنْهُ مَالُهٗٓ اِذَا تَرَدّٰى
WA MAA YUGHNEE ’ANHU MAALUHOOO IZAA TARADDAA.
And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes.
اور اس کا مال کچھ کام نہ آئے گا جب وہ ہلاک ہو جائے گا۔
اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدٰى
INNA ’ALAINAA LAL HUDAA.
Surely Ours is it to show the way
بے شک ہدایت کی ذمہ داری ہمارے اوپر ہے۔
وَاِنَّ لَنَا لَلْاٰخِرَةَ وَالْاُوْلٰى
WA INNA LANAA LAL AAKHIRATA WAL OOLAA.
And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former.
اور دنیا و آخرت کا اختیار ہمارے ہاتھوں میں ہے۔
فَاَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظّٰى
FA ANZARTUKUM NAARAN TALAZZAA.
Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames:
تو ہم نے تمہیں بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ سے ڈرایا۔
لَا يَصْلٰهَآ اِلَّا الْاَشْقٰى
LAA YASLAAHAAA ILLAL ASHQAA.
None shall enter it but the most unhappy
جس میں کوئی نہ جائے گا سوائے بدبخت شخص کے۔
اَلَّذِيْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰى
ALLAZEE KAZZABA WA TAWALLAA.
Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back.
جس نے جھٹلایا اور منہ پھیر لیا۔
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْاَتْقٰى
WA SA YUJANNNABUHAL ATQAA.
And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil)
اور اس سے عنقریب صاحبِ تقویٰ کو محفوظ رکھا جائے گا۔
اَلَّذِيْ يُؤْتِيْ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰى
ALLAZEE YU’TEE MAALAHOO YATAZAKKAA.
Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself.
جو اپنے مال کو دے کر پاکیزگی کا اہتمام کرتا ہے۔
وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنْدَهٗ مِنْ نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزٰٓى
WA MAA LI AHADIN ’INDAHOO MIN NI’MATIN TUJZAAA.
And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded
جب کہ اس کے پاس کسی کا کوئی احسان نہیں ہے جس کی جزا دی جائے۔
اِلَّا ابْتِغَاۗءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْاَعْلٰى
ILLAB TIGHAAA’A WAJHI RABBIHIL A ’LAA.
Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High.
سوائے یہ کہ وہ خدائے بزرگ کی مرضی کا طلب گار ہے۔
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضٰى
WA LASAWFA YARDAA.
And he shall soon be well-pleased.
اور عنقریب وہ راضی ہو جائے گا۔
SADAQALLAHUL ALIYYUL AZEEM
Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.
اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
