1. Eve of 15th Shaban

2. It should be known that many narrations have been reported regarding the virtue of visiting Imam Husayn (pbuh) on the 15th of Sha‘ban. In this regard, it is sufficient to mention that it has been transmitted with numerous reliable chains from Imam Zayn al-‘Abidin and Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (pbuh): “Whoever wishes that 124,000 prophets shake hands with him should visit Abu ‘Abd Allah al-Husayn (pbuh) on the 15th of Sha‘ban, because on that day the angels and the spirits of the prophets seek permission from God and come to visit him. Thus, fortunate is the person who shakes hands with them and they shake hands with him. Among them are the five Ulul ‘Azm prophets: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (pbut).” The narrator says: “I asked, ‘Why are they called Ulul ‘Azm?’” He replied: “Because they were sent to the east and the west, and to jinn and mankind.” The wording of this ziyarat has been transmitted in two ways: one text is the one already narrated for the 1st of Rajab, and the other is the text which Shaykh al-Kaf‘ami related in his book Balad al-Amin from Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (pbuh) that one should stand near the holy shrine of Imam Husayn (pbuh) and say as follows…

   جاننا چاہیے کہ پندرہ شعبان کو امام حسینؑ کی زیارت کی فضیلت کے بارے میں بہت سی احادیث وارد ہوئی ہیں۔ اس سلسلے میں اتنا ہی کافی ہے کہ متعدد قابلِ اعتماد اسناد کے ساتھ امام زین العابدینؑ اور امام جعفر صادقؑ سے منقول ہے: جو شخص یہ چاہے کہ ایک لاکھ چوبیس ہزار پیغمبر اس سے مصافحہ کریں، وہ پندرہ شعبان کو ابو عبداللہ الحسینؑ کی زیارت کرے؛ کیونکہ اس دن فرشتے اور ارواحِ انبیاءؑ خدا سے اجازت لے کر حضرتؑ کی زیارت کے لیے آتی ہیں۔ لہٰذا نیک بخت ہے وہ شخص جو ان سے مصافحہ کرے اور وہ اس سے مصافحہ کریں۔ جبکہ ان میں پانچ اولو العزم پیغمبر بھی شامل ہیں، یعنی حضرت نوحؑ، حضرت ابراہیمؑ، حضرت موسیٰؑ، حضرت عیسیٰؑ اور حضرت محمدؐ۔ راوی بیان کرتا ہے: میں نے پوچھا: انہیں اولو العزم کیوں کہا جاتا ہے؟ آپؑ نے فرمایا: اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ انہیں مشرق و مغرب اور جن و انس کے لیے بھیجا گیا ہے۔ اس زیارت کے الفاظ دو طریقوں سے نقل ہوئے ہیں: ایک متن وہ ہے جو یکم رجب کے لیے نقل ہو چکا ہے، اور دوسرا متن وہ ہے جسے شیخ کفعمیؒ نے کتاب بلد الامین میں امام جعفر صادقؑ سے روایت کیا ہے کہ امام حسینؑ کی ضریحِ پاک کے قریب کھڑے ہو کر یوں کہے۔۔۔

3. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

4. اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظيْمِ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ الزَّكِیُّ۔ اُوْدِعُكَ شَهَادَةً مِّنِّيْ لَكَ تُقَرِّبُنِيْ اِلَيْكَ فِيْ يَوْمِ شَفَاعَتِكَ، اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قُتِلْتَ وَلَمْ تَمُتْ بَلْ بِرَجَآءِ حَيَاتِكَ حَيِيَتْ قُلُوْبُ شِيْعَتِكَ، وَبِضِيَآءِ نُوْرِكَ اِهْتَدَى الطَّالِبُوْنَ اِلَيْكَ، وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ نُوْرُ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لَمْ يُطْفَا وَلَا يُطْفَاُ اَبَدًا، وَاَنَّكَ وَجْهُ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لَمْ يَهْلِكْ وَلَا يُهْلَكُ اَبَدًا، وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ هٰذِهِ التُّرْبَةَ تُرْبَتُكَ، وَهٰذَا الْحَرَمَ حَرَمُكَ، وَهٰذَا الْمَصْرَعَ مَصْرَعُ بَدَنِكَ لَا ذَلِيْلَ وَاللهِ مُعِزُّكَ وَلَا مَغْلُوْبَ وَاللهِ نَاصِرُكَ، هٰذِهٖ شَهَادَةٌ لِيْ عِنْدَكَ اِلٰى يَوْمِ قَبْضِ رُوْحِيْ بِحَضْرَتِكَ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ۔

   AL-HAMDU LILLAAHI AL-'ALIYYI AL-'AZYMI WAS-SALAAMU 'ALAYKA AYYUHAA AL-'ABDU AS-SAALIHU AZ-ZAKIYY. OODI'UKA SHAHAADATAN MINNEE LAKA TUQARRIBUNEE ILAYKA FEE YAWMI SHAFAA'ATIKA, ASHHADU ANNAKA QUTILTA WALAM TAMUT BAL BIRAJAA'I HAYAATIKA HAYIYAT QULOOBU SHEE'ATIKA, WABIDIYAA'I NOORIKA IHTADAA AT-TAALIBOONA ILAYKA, WA-ASHHADU ANNAKA NOORU ALLAAHI ALLAZEE LAM YUTFAA WALAA YUTFA'U ABADAN, WA-ANNAKA WAJHU ALLAAHI ALLAZEE LAM YAHLIK WALAA YUHLAKU ABADAN, WA-ASHHADU ANNA HAAZIHI AT-TURBATA TURBATUKA, WAHAAZAA AL-HARAMA HARAMUKA, WAHAAZAA AL-MASRA'A MASRA'U BADANIKA LAA ZALEELA WALLAAHI MU'IZZUKA WALAA MAGHLOOBA WALLAAHI NAASIRUKA, HAAZIHEE SHAHAADATUN LEE 'INDAKA ILAA YAWMI QABDI ROOHEE BIHADRATIKA, WAS-SALAAMU 'ALAYKUM WARAHMATU ALLAAHI WABARAKAATUH.

   All praise be to Allah; the Most High, the All-great. Peace be upon you; O the righteous, pure servant (of Allah). I entrust with you a testimony of mine that takes me near you on the day of your intercession (for some people). I bear witness that although you were slain, you have not died; Rather the hearts of your adherents (Shia) are living on the hope of your being alive; And by the light of your illumination have those seeking you been guided (to the right path). And I bear witness that you are verily the Light of Allah that has not and shall never be extinguished. And you are verily the Face of Allah that has not and shall never be perishing. And I bear witness that this soil is yours, And this holy precinct is yours. And this death is the death of your body only, While you have never been humiliated since Allah is the One Who is pouring honor upon you And you have never been defeated since Allah is the One Who is supporting you. I would like you to keep this testimony of mine with you up to the day when my soul will be grasped in the presence of you. Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.

   حمد ہے خداکے لیے جو بلند و بزرگ ہے اور آپ پر سلام ہو اے خدا کے بندۂ خوش کردار وپاکیزہ ،میں اپنی طرف سے ایک گواہی آپ کے سپردکرتا ہوں تاکہ وہ مجھے آپ کے قریب کرے جس دن آپ شفاعت کرتے ہوں گے میں گواہی دیتاہوں کہ آپ قتل ہوئے تو آپ مرے نہیں بلکہ آپ کے زندہ ہونے کے تصور سے آپ کے پیروکاروں کے دل زندہ ہیں اور آپ کی روشنی کی کرنوں کے ذریعے چاہنے والےآپ تک پہنچتے ہیں۔ میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ آپ خدا کا وہ نور ہیں جو بجھتا نہیں اور نہ ہی وہ کبھی بجھے گا اور بے شک آپ خدا کا وہ چہرہ ہیں جو ختم نہیں ہوتا اور نہ ہی یہ کبھی ختم ہو گا میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ یہ قبر آپ کی قبر ہے یہ روضہ آپ کا روضہ ہے اور یہ قتل گاہ آپ کے بدن کی قتل گاہ ہے آپ پست نہیں کہ خدا نے آپ کو عزت دی اور آپ شکست خوردہ نہیں ہیں کہ خدا نے آپ کی مدد فرمائی آپ کے سامنے میری گواہی اس دن تک ہے جب آپ کی موجودگی میں میری روح قبض ہوگی اور آپ پر سلام ہو خدا کی رحمت ہو اور اس کی برکات ہوں۔

5. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.

   O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔

6. You should then return to the place near the head of Imam Husain (a), supplicate Almighty Allah as much as you can, and pray for yourself, your family members, your parents, and your friends, because any prayer in the holy shrine of Imam Husain (a) shall never be rejected.

   اس کے بعد امام حسینؑ کے سرہانے کی طرف آ جائے اور وہاں اپنے فرزندوں اپنے ماں باپ اور بہن بھائیوں کے لئے بہت زیادہ دعائیں مانگے کیوں کہ امام حسینؑ کے روضۂ مبارک پر دعا کرنے والے کی دعا اور سوال کرنے والے کا سوال رد نہیں کیا جاتا۔

7. Also recommended to recite 1st Rajab Ziyarat and Ziyarat-e-Eid on 15th Shaban.

   مستحب ہے کہ ۱۵ شعبان کو امام حسینؑ کے روضہ پر ۱؍رجب کی زیارت اور زیارتِ عید پڑھے۔
