1st Ziyarat-e-Zainab (s)
زیارت بی بی زینب (ع)-۱
The first of the ziyarat of Sayyida Zainab (s) — daughter of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali ibn Abi Talib (a) and of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (s), sister of Imam Hasan and Imam Husain (a), and the one who carried the message of Karbala after it.
The text is a succession of salutations, and each names her by her lineage: daughter of the Messenger of Allah, daughter of the Prophet of Allah, daughter of Muhammad al-Mustafa, daughter of the leader of the prophets and messengers, daughter of the Wali of Allah, daughter of Ali al-Murtada. Saluting her is, in the form of the text itself, saluting the house she came from. It closes with salawat upon Muhammad and his progeny.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَابِنْتَ رَسُوْلِ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَابِنْتَ نَبِیِّ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَابِنْتَ مُحَمَّدِ الْمُصْطَفٰی۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَابِنْتَ وَلِیِّ اللہِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَابِنْتَ عَلِیِّ الْمُرْتَضٰی سَیِّدِ الْاَوْصِیَآئِ وَالصِّدِّیْقِیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَا بِنْتَ فَاطِمَۃَ الزَّہْرَائِ سَیِّدَۃِ نِسَائِ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَا اُخْتَ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَیْنِ سَیِّدَیْ شَبَابِ اَہْلِ الْجَنَّۃِ اَجْمَعِیْنَ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا السَّیِّدَۃُ الزَّکِیَّۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الدَّاعِیَۃُ الْخَفِیِّۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا التَّقِیَّۃُ النَّقِیَّ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الرَّاضِیَۃُ الْمَرْضِیَّۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الْعَالِمَۃُ الْغَیْرُ الْمُعَلَّمَۃِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الْفَہِیْمَۃُ الْغَیْرُ الْمُفَہَّمَۃِ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الْمَظْلُوْمَۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا مَہْمُوْمَۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الْمَغْمُوْمَۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الصِّدِّیْقَۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الْمَکْرُوْبَۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتُہَا الْمَاسُوْرَۃُ۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ اَیَّتَہَا الصَّاحِبَۃُ الْمُصِیْبَۃِ الْعُظْمٰی۔ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَیْکِ یَا زَیْنَبُ الْکُبْرٰی وَرَحْمَۃُ اللہِ وَبَرَکَاتُہٗ۔
Assalaamo a'layke yaa binta rasoolillaahe assalaamo a'layke yaa binta nabiyyillaahe assalaamo a'layke yaa binta muhammadenil mustafa assalaamo a'layke yaa binta valiyyillaahe assalaamo a'layke yaa binta a'liyyenil murtaza sayyedil awseyaae wassiddeeqeena.
Assalaamo a'layke yaa binta fatematuz zahrae sayyedate nesaail aalameena assalaamo a'layke yaa ukhtal hasane wal husayne sayyeday shabaabe ahlil jannate ajmae'ena assalaamo a'layke ayyatohas sayyedatuz zakiyyato assalaamo a'layke ayyatohad daae'yatul khafiyyato.
Assalaamo a'layke ayyatohat taqiyyatun naqiyyato assalaamo a'layke ayyatohar raazeyatul marziyyato assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal a'alematul ghairul moa'llamate assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal fahimatul ghairul mofahhamate assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal mazloomato assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal mahmoomato.
Assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal maghmoomato as salaammo a'layke ayyatohas siddeeqato assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal makroobato assalaamo a'layke ayyatohal ma'soorato assalaamo a'layke ayyatohas saahebatul mosibatil u'zmaa assalaamo a'layke yaa zainabul kubra wa rahmatullaahe wa barakaatoh.
Salam on you, O daughter of Rasoolullah! Salam on you, O daughter of Nabiyullah! Salam on you, O daughter of Muhammad Mustafa! Salam on you, O daughter of the leader of the Prophets and Messengers! Salam on you, O daughter of the friend (Vali) of Allah! Salam on you, O daughter of the Ali-e-Murtaza, who is the leader of the Regents and True ones! Salam on you, O daughter of Fatemah Zahra, who is the leader of the women of all the worlds! Salam on you, O sister of Hazrat Imam Hasan and Hazrat Imam Husain who are the leaders of all the youths of Heaven! Salam on you, O Sayyada’e Tahera (pure)! Salam on you, O invitor towards truth on all occasions! Salam on you, O one who is always afraid of Allah, O pure one! Salam on you, O one who is content with Allah and with whom Allah is content! Salam on you, O one who is learned without being taught by anyone! Salam on you, O one who understands everything, without explanation from anyone! Salam on you, O one who was tormented! Salam on you, O one who continued to bear unhappiness! Salam on you, O one whose life was passed in sadness! Salam on you, O one who always spoke the truth! Salam on you, O one who bore hardships! Salam on you, O one who was always surrounded by tribulations! Salam on you, O one who always shouldered big hardships! Salam on you, O Zainab-e-Kubra and Allah’s blessings and bounties be on you!
سلام ہو آپ پر، اے رسولِ خداؐ کی بیٹی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے اللہ کے نبیؐ کی بیٹی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے محمد مصطفیٰؐ کی بیٹی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے اللہ کے ولی کی بیٹی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے علیؑ مرتضیٰ کی بیٹی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے فاطمہؑ زہرا کی بیٹی (جو تمام عورتوں کی سردار ہیں)۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے امام حسنؑ اور امام حسینؑ کی بہن (جو جنتی جوانوں کے سردار ہیں)۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے پاکیزہ اور باعظمت خاتون۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے دین کی طرف بلانے والی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے پرہیزگار اور پاک خاتون۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے اللہ کی رضا پر راضی رہنے والی اور اللہ کی پسندیدہ۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے بڑی عالمہ (جنہیں اللہ نے علم عطا کیا)۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے بڑی سمجھدار (جنہیں اللہ نے فہم دیا)۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے مظلومہ۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے غمزدہ۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے رنجیدہ دل۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے بہت سچی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے سخت مصیبت میں مبتلا۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے قیدی بنائی گئی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے بہت بڑی مصیبت اٹھانے والی۔ سلام ہو آپ پر، اے زینبِ کبریٰؑ، اور اللہ کی رحمت اور برکتیں آپ پر ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
