Cave of Hira
غارِ حراء
Hira is a mountain near Mecca and has a cave in it. Before the annunciation Holy Prophet (s) used to meditate and worship Allah in this cave. Whenever he was free, he used to go to Mount Hira and gaze at the sky of Allah's mercy from its heights. On 27th Rajab, Jibraeel (a) was sent to him and the Surah IQRAA BISME RABBEKAL LAZEE KHALAQ was revealed, and he was announced a prophet. This mountain is also called Jabal an-Noor. If a pilgrim is successful in viewing the cave of Hira, it is recommended that he pray two rakats of prayer and offer the reward to the Prophet (s) and recite the Ziyarat that is to be recited from a distance, which is mentioned in this book. One should remember the difficulties of the Prophet (s).
حراء مکہ کے نزدیک پہاڑ ہے، اِس میں ایک غار ہے، بعثت سے پہلے رسول اکرمؐ اِسی میں غور و فکر اور خدا کی عبادت کرتے اور ہر فرصت کے وقت حراء جاتے اور اِس کی بلندی سے رحمت الٰہی کے آسمان کی طرف دیکھتے تھے، یہاں تک کہ ۲۷؍رجب کو آپؐ پر جبرئیلؑ نازل ہوئے اور سورئہ ’ اِقْرَاْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ ‘ کے نازل ہونے سے آنحضرتؐ مبعوث بہ رسالت ہوئے، اِس پہاڑ کو جبل النّور بھی کہتے ہیں، اگر زائر غارِ حراء کو دیکھنے میں کامیاب ہو جائے تو بہتر ہے اِس جگہ پر دو رکعت نماز پڑھ کر آنحضرتؐ کو ہدیہ کرے اور دور سے پڑھی جانے والی آپؐ کی زیارت پڑھے جو کہ اِسی کتاب میں مرقوم ہے، اور رسولؐ کی زحمتوں اور مشقتوں کو یاد کرے۔
