- Holy Places between Mecca and Medina
Out of those holy places which are on the way to Medina from Mecca like the graves of the martyrs of Fakh near Masjid-e-Taneem, grave of Abdullah bin Abbas in the Valley of Taif, the grave of Maimunah, the wife of the Holy Prophet (s) which is two farsakhs away from Mecca in Saraf, graves of Hawwa (s) in Jeddah and Aamena in Abawa, Masjid Ghadeer-e-Khum near Juhfah (two to three miles away from Juhfah), grave of Abu Zar-e-Ghiffari in Rabza, graves of the martyrs of Badr in Badr, grave of Ubaidah bin Al-Harith bin Abdul Muttalib who was martyred while returning from the Battle of Badr due to severe wounds and is buried in Rawha which is 17 km. away from Medina.
- Masjid Ghadeer-e-Khum
It is three miles away from Juhfah and two miles away according to another tradition. Late Shaykh Sadooq has written in Man La Yahzarul Faqih a tradition from Imam Sadiq (a.s) that it is recommended to pray in Masjid Ghadeer-e-Khum.
- Lady Aamena (s) in Abawa
Abawa is a name of a village 13 miles from Juhfah. Lady Aamena (s) binte Wahab, the mother of Holy Prophet (s) was returning from Medina to Mecca after visiting the grave of her husband Abdullah (a) when she fell ill and passed away here. Her grave is famous in Abawa. It is recommended to recite the Ziyarat of Lady Aamena (s) at this place.
