Grave Yard of Abu Talib (a)

قبرستانِ ابو طالب (ع)

1. The Holy Imams (a) and leaders of religion have emphasized the performance of this constructive and beneficial deed. Remembrance of ancient people and performing Ziyarat of their graves. Hence the pilgrims go near their tombs in Mecca or benefit from a distance.

   اپنے مرحومین کو یاد رکھنا اور ان کی قبروں کی زیارت کرنا بہترین عمل خیر ہے۔ ہادیان دین اور ائمہء طاہرینؑ نے بھی اس عمل کی بے حد تاکید فرمائی ہے۔ اسی بنیاد پر یہاں مکّہ مکرمہ کے ان مزاراتِ مقدسہ کا تذکرہ کیا جا رہا ہے جو مشہور ہیں تا کہ حجاجِ کرام ان مقامات پر جا کر نزدیک یا کچھ فاصلہ سے زیارت سے فیض یاب ہو سکیں۔

2. Jannatul Moalla is also called ’Hujoon’ and ’Graveyard of H. Abu Talib (a)’. After ’Jannatul Baqi’ it is the most glorified graveyard. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a) used to visit it often.

   جنت المعلیٰ کو حجون اور قبرستانِ ابو طالبؑ بھی کہا جاتا ہے، جنت البقیع کے بعد اسی قبرستان کی عظمت سب سے زیادہ ہے۔ پیغمبر اسلامؐ اکثر وہاں تشریف لے جاتے تھے۔

3. The ancestor of the Holy Prophet (s), Abd Munaf, grandfather Abdul Muttalib, uncle Abu Talib, wife Khadijah (s), other great scholars and believers are buried in this graveyard.

   اسی قبرستان میں پیغمبرؐ کے جد اعلی حضرت عبد مناف، آپؐ کے جد حضرت عبد المطلبؑ، آپؐ کے چچا حضرت ابو طالبؑ، آپؐ کی زوجۂ گرامی جناب خدیجہؑ کے علاوہ بعض علماء اعلام اور بہت سے مومنین کی قبریں ہیں۔

4. According to another narration, the mother of the Holy Prophet (s), Amina binte Wahab is also buried here. But it is famous that her grave is in ’Abwa’ which is between Mecca and Medina.

   ایک اور قول کی بنا پر نبی اکرمؐ کی والدۂ ماجدہ حضرت آمنہ بنت وہبؑ کی قبر بھی اسی قبرستان میں ہے۔ اگر چہ قول مشہور یہی ہے کہ آپ کی قبر مکّہ و مدینہ کے درمیان ابواء میں ہے۔
