About this day
A week after Eid al-Fitr, the Centre remembers the demolition of the cemetery of Jannat al-Baqi in Medina, the burial place of Imam al-Hasan (a), Imam al-Sajjad (a), Imam al-Baqir (a) and Imam al-Sadiq (a). Twelver communities agree on the day but report the year differently, and the occasion carries different names in different languages. The programme is a majlis, historical in tone.
