About this day
Ayyam-e-Fatimiyya is a block of mourning nights held for Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (a). There is no single fixed length for it in the tradition, and Twelver communities differ over which days the block covers, so a family arriving from another centre may find it a few days out of step. The Centre keeps a short block that ends on the third of Jumada al-Thani.
Communities differ on this
The Centre’s congregation includes Indian, Pakistani, Irani, Hazara, Iraqi and Afghan families, and they do not all keep this on the same day. The date above is the one the Centre observes; it is not a ruling on anyone else’s.
