1st Night Namaz

۱؍شب کی نماز

2. Perform Ghusl (spiritual bath).

   زوال سے پہلے غسل کرنا بھی مستحب ہے۔

3. It is recommended for husbands to have sexual intercourse with their wives at this night. In fact, it is discommended to have sexual intercourse with wives at the first night of the Arabic months; rather, this exception is one of the peculiarities of the holy month of Ramazan.

   ماہِ رمضان کی چاند رات میں اپنی بیوی سے ہم بستری کرے کہ یہ اس ماہِ مبارک کی خصوصیت ہے ورنہ دیگر مہینوں کی پہلی رات میں جماع کرنا مکروہ ہے۔

4. It is recommended to wash one’s face with a handful of rose water so as to be saved against humiliation and poverty, and to pour some of it on the head so as to be saved from pleurisy.

   ایک چلو عرقِ گلاب اپنے چہرے پر ڈالے تاکہ ذلت وپریشانی سے نجات ہو اور تھوڑا سا عرقِ گلاب سرمیں ڈالے کہ سال بھر سرسام سے بچا رہے۔

5. It is recommended to visit the holy tomb of Imam Husain (a) so that sins will be forgiven and the like of the reward of those who undertake Hajj and Umrah in that year will be gained.

   رمضان المبارک کی شبِ اول میں امام حسینؑ کی ضریح مقدس کی زیارت کرے تاکہ اس کے گناہ جھڑ جائیں اور اس کو اس سال میں عمرہ وحج کرنے والے تمام افراد جتنا ثواب حاصل ہو۔

7. Recite 2-rakat namaz. In each rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah An’aam 1 time. After namaz give alms (sadqah).

   اس رات میں ۲رکعت نماز پڑھے کہ ہررکعت میںسورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ انعام پڑھے اور دعا کرے کہ وہ جن چیزوں سے ڈرتا ہو خداان سب سے محفوظ رکھے، نماز پڑھ کر صدقہ دے۔

8. Recite 2-rakat namaz. In 1st rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah Fatah and in 2nd rakat after Surah Fateha recite any Surah. If one offers this namaz, Almighty Allah will save him from all evils and will keep him under His custody up to the next year.

   اس رات ۲رکعت نماز پڑھے جس کی پہلی رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہکے بعد سورۂ فتح اوردوسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد کوئی بھی سورہ پڑھے تاکہ خدائے تعالیٰ اس سال تمام برائیوں کو اس سے دور رکھے اور آخرِ سال تک اس کی حفاظت کرے۔

9. Recite 4-rakat namaz (in form of 2x2 rakats). In each rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah Ikhlaas 15-times.

   اس رات ۴ رکعت نماز دو دو کر کے پڑھے جس کی ہر رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد ۱۵ مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے۔
