Surah Fatah (48, 29 ayat)سورۂ فتح

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Surely We have given to you a clear victory

بےشک ہم نے آپ کو کھلی ہوئی فتح عطا کی ہے۔

That Allah may forgive your community their past faults and those to follow and complete His favor to you and keep you on a right way

تاکہ خدا آپ کے اگلے پچھلے تمام الزامات کو ختم کر دے اور آپ پر اپنی نعمت کو تمام کر دے اور آپ کو سیدھے راستہ کی ہدایت دے دے۔

And that Allah might help you with a mighty help.

اور زبردست طریقہ سے آپ کی مدد کرے۔

He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might have more of faith added to their faith- and Allah’s are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Knowing, Wise-

وہی خدا ہے جس نے مومنین کے دلوں میں سکون نازل کیا ہے تاکہ ان کے ایمان میں مزید اضافہ ہو جائے اور اللہ ہی کے لئے زمین و آسمان کے سارے لشکر ہیں اور وہی تمام باتوں کا جاننے والا اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

That He may cause the believing men and the believing women to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein and remove from them their evil; and that is a grand achievement with Allah;

تاکہ مومن مرد اور مومنہ عورتوں کو ان جنتوں میں داخل کر دے جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں وہ ان ہی میں ہمیشہ رہیں اور ان کی برائیوں کو ان سے دور کر دے اور یہی اللہ کے نزدیک عظیم ترین کامیابی ہے۔

And (that) He may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the polytheistic men and the polytheistic women, the entertainers of evil thoughts about Allah. On them is the evil turn, and Allah is wroth with them and has cursed them and prepared hell for them, and evil is the resort.

اور منافق مرد، منافق عورتیں اور مشرک مرد و عورت جو خدا کے بارے میں برے برے خیالات رکھتے ہیں ان سب پر عذاب نازل کرے ان کے سر عذاب کی گردش ہے اور ان پر اللہ کا غضب ہے خدا نے ان پر لعنت کی ہے اور ان کے لئے جہنّم کو مہیاّ کیا ہے جو بدترین انجام ہے۔

And Allah’s are the hosts of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

اور اللہ ہی کے لئے زمین و آسمان کے سارے لشکر ہیں اور وہ صاحبِ عزّت بھی ہے اور صاحبِ حکمت بھی ہے۔

Surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner

پیغمبر ہم نے آپ کو گواہی دینے والا بشارت دینے والا اور عذابِ الٰہی سے ڈرانے والا بنا کر بھیجا ہے۔

That you may believe in Allah and His Apostle and may aid him and revere him; and (that) you may declare His glory, morning and evening.

تاکہ تم سب اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لے آؤ اور اس کی مدد کرو اور اس کا احترام کرو اور صبح و شام اللہ کی تسبیح کرتے رہو۔

Surely those who swear allegiance to you do but swear allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is above their hands. Therefore whoever breaks (his faith), he breaks it only to the injury of his own soul, and whoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will grant him a mighty reward.

بےشک جو لوگ آپ کی بیعت کرتے ہیں وہ در حقیقت اللہ کی بیعت کرتے ہیں اور ان کے ہاتھوں کے اوپر اللہ ہی کا ہاتھ ہے اب اس کے بعد جو بیعت کو توڑ دیتا ہے وہ اپنے ہی خلاف اقدام کرتا ہے اور جو عہدِ الہٰی کو پورا کرتا ہے خدا عنقریب اسی کو اجر عظیم عطا کرے گا۔

Those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind will say to you: Our property and our families kept us busy, so ask forgiveness for us. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: Then who can control anything for you from Allah if He intends to do you harm or if He intends to do you good; nay, Allah is Aware of what you do:

عنقریب یہ پیچھے رہ جانے والے گنوار آپ سے کہیں گے کہ ہمارے اموال اور اولاد نے مصروف کر لیا تھا لہٰذا آپ ہمارے حق میں استغفار کر دیں، یہ اپنی زبان سے وہ کہہ رہے ہیں جو یقینًا ان کے دل میں نہیں ہے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر خدا تمہیں نقصان پہنچانا چاہے یا فائدہ ہی پہنچانا چاہے تو کون ہے جو اس کے مقابلہ میں تمہارے امور کا اختیار رکھتا ہے، حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

Nay! you rather thought that the Apostle and the believers would not return to their families ever, and that was made fairseeming to your hearts and you thought an evil thought and you were a people doomed to perish.

اصل میں تمہارا خیال یہ تھا کہ رسول اور صاحبانِ ایمان اب اپنے گھر والوں تک پلٹ کر نہیں آسکتے ہیں اور اس بات کو تمہارے دلوں میں خوب سجا دیا گیا تھا اور تم نے بد گمانی سے کام لیا اور تم ہلاک ہو جانے والی قوم ہو۔

And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Apostle, then surely We have prepared burning fire for the unbelievers.

اور جو بھی خدا و رسول پر ایمان نہ لائے گا ہم نے ایسے کافرین کے لئے جہنّم کا انتظام کر رکھا ہے۔

And Allah’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He forgives whom He pleases and punishes whom He pleases, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

اور اللہ ہی کے لئے زمین و آسمان کا ملک ہے وہ جس کو چاہتا ہے بخش دیتا ہے اور جس پر چاہتا ہے عذاب کرتا ہے اور اللہ بہت بخشنے والا مہربان ہے۔

Those who are left behind will say when you set forth for the gaining of acquisitions: Allow us (that) we may follow you. They desire to change the word of Allah. Say: By no means shall you follow us; thus did Allah say before. But they will say: Nay! you are jealous of us. Nay! they do not understand but a little.

عنقریب یہ پیچھے رہ جانے والے تم سے کہیں گے جب تم مالِ غنیمت لینے کے لئے جانے لگو گے کہ اجازت دو ہم بھی تمہارے ساتھ چلے چلیں یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کے کلام کو تبدیل کر دیں تو تم کہہ دو کہ تم لوگ ہمارے ساتھ نہیں آسکتے ہو اللہ نے یہ بات پہلے سے طے کر دی ہے پھر یہ کہیں گے کہ تم لوگ ہم سے حسد رکھتے ہو حالانکہ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ لوگ بات کو بہت کم سمجھ پاتے ہیں۔

Say to those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind: You shall soon be invited (to fight) against a people possessing mighty prowess; you will fight against them until they submit; then if you obey, Allah will grant you a good reward; and if you turn back as you turned back before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.

آپ ان پیچھے رہ جانے والوں سے کہہ دیں کہ عنقریب تمہیں ایک ایسی قوم کی طرف بلایا جائے گا جو انتہائی سخت جنگجو قوم ہو گی کہ تم ان سے جنگ ہی کرتے رہو گے یا وہ مسلمان ہو جائیں گے تو اگر تم خدا کی اطاعت کرو گے تو وہ تمہیں بہترین اجر عنایت کرے گا اور اگر پھر منہ پھیر لو گے جس طرح پہلے کیا تھا تو تمہیں درد ناک عذاب کے ذریعہ سزا دے گا۔

There is no harm in the blind, nor is there any harm in the lame, nor is there any harm in the sick (if they do not go forth); and whoever obeys Allah and His Apostle, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, and whoever turns back, He will punish him with a painful punishment.

اندھے آدمی کے لئے کوئی گناہ نہیں ہے اور لنگڑے آدمی کے لئے بھی کوئی گناہ نہیں ہے اور مریض کی بھی کوئی ذمہ داری نہیں ہے اور جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی اطاعت کرے گا خدا اس کو ایسی جنتوں میں داخل کرے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی اور جو روگردانی کرے گا وہ اسے درد ناک عذاب کی سزا دے گا۔

Certainly Allah was well pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity on them and rewarded them with a near victory

یقینًا خدا صاحبانِ ایمان سے اس وقت راضی ہو گیا جب وہ درخت کے نیچے آپ کی بیعت کر رہے تھے پھر اس نے وہ سب کچھ دیکھ لیا جو ان کے دلوں میں تھا تو ان پر سکون نازل کر دیا اور انہیں اس کے عوض قریبی فتح عنایت کر دی۔

And many acquisitions which they will take; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

اور بہت سے منافع بھی دے دیئے جنہیں وہ حاصل کریں گے اور اللہ ہر ایک پر غالب آنے والا اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

Allah promised you many acquisitions which you will take, then He hastened on this one for you and held back the hands of men from you, and that it may be a sign for the believers and that He may guide you on a right path.

اس نے تم سے بہت سے فوائد کا وعدہ کیا ہے جنہیں تم حاصل کرو گے پھر اس غنیمتِ خیبر کو فورًا عطا کر دیا اور لوگوں کے ہاتھوں کو تم سے روک دیا اور تاکہ یہ صاحبانِ ایمان کے لئے ایک قدرت کی نشانی بنے اور وہ تمہیں سیدھے راستہ کی ہدایت دے دے۔

And others which you have not yet been able to achieve Allah has surely encompassed them, and Allah has power over all things.

اور دوسری غنیمتیں جن پر تم قادر نہیں ہو سکے خدا ان پر بھی حاوی ہے اور خدا تو ہر شے پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔

And if those who disbelieve fight with you, they would certainly turn (their) backs, then they would not find any protector or a helper.

اور اگر یہ کفاّر تم سے جنگ کرتے تو یقینًا منہ پھیر کر بھاگ جاتے اور پھر انہیں کوئی سرپرست اور مدد گار نصیب نہ ہوتا۔

Such has been the course of Allah that has indeed run before, and you shall not find a change in Allah’s course.

یہ اللہ کی ایک سنّت ہے جو پہلے بھی گزر چکی ہے اور تم اللہ کے طریقہ میں ہرگز کوئی تبدیلی نہیں پاؤ گے۔

And He it is Who held back their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Mecca after He had given you victory over them; and Allah is Seeing what you do.

وہی خدا ہے جس نے کفاّر کے ہاتھوں کو تم سے اور تمہارے ہاتھوں کو ان سے سرحدِ مکہ کے اندر تمہارے فتح پا جانے کے بعد بھی روک دیا اور اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

It is they who disbelieved and turned you away from the Sacred Mosque and (turned off) the offering withheld from arriving at its destined place; and were it not for the believing men and the believing women, whom, not having known, you might have trodden down, and thus something hateful might have afflicted you on their account without knowledge- so that Allah may cause to enter into His mercy whomsoever He pleases; had they been widely separated one from another, We would surely have punished those who disbelieved from among them with a painful punishment.

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور تم کو مسجد الحرام میں داخل ہونے سے روک دیا اور قربانی کے جانوروں کو روک دیا کہ وہ اپنی منزل پر پہنچنے سے رکے رہے اور اگر صاحبِ ایمان مرد اور باایمان عورتیں نہ ہوتیں جن کو تم نہیں جانتے تھے اور نادانستگی میں انہیں بھی پامال کر ڈالنے کا خطرہ تھا اور اس طرح تمہیں لاعلمی کی وجہ سے نقصان پہنچ جاتا تو تمہیں روکا بھی نہ جاتا۔ روکا اس لئے تاکہ خدا جسے چاہے اسے اپنی رحمت میں داخل کر لے کہ یہ لوگ الگ ہو جاتے تو ہم کفّار کو درد ناک عذاب میں مبتلا کر دیتے۔

When those who disbelieved harbored in their hearts (feelings of) disdain, the disdain of (the days of) ignorance, but Allah sent down His tranquillity on His Apostle and on the believers, and made them keep the word of guarding (against evil), and they were entitled to it and worthy of it; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.

یہ اس وقت کی بات ہے جب کفار نے اپنے دلوں میں زمانہ جاہلیت جیسی ضد قرار دے لی تھی کہ تم کو مکہ میں داخل نہ ہونے دیں گے تو اللہ نے اپنے رسول اور صاحبانِ ایمان پر سکون نازل کر دیا اور انہیں کلمہ تقویٰ پر قائم رکھا اور وہ اسی کے حقدار اور اہل بھی تھے اور اللہ تو ہر شے کا جاننے والا ہے۔

Certainly Allah had shown to His Apostle the vision with truth: you shall most certainly enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah pleases, in security, (some) having their heads shaved and (others) having their hair cut, you shall not fear, but He knows what you do not know, so He brought about a near victory before that.

بےشک خدا نے اپنے رسول کو بالکل سچا خواب دکھلایا تھا کہ خدا نے چاہا تو تم لوگ مسجد الحرام میں امن و سکون کے ساتھ سر کے بال منڈا کر اور تھوڑے سے بال کاٹ کر داخل ہو گے اور تمہیں کسی طرح کا خوف نہ ہو گا تو اسے وہ بھی معلوم تھا جو تمہیں نہیں معلوم تھا تو اس نے فتح مکّہ سے پہلے ایک قریبی فتح قرار دے دی۔

He it is Who sent His Apostle with the guidance and the true religion that He may make it prevail over all the religions; and Allah is enough for a witness.

وہی وہ خدا ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور دینِ حق کے ساتھ بھیجا تاکہ اسے تمام ادیان عالم پر غالب بنائے اور گواہی کے لئے بس خدا ہی کافی ہے۔

Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of prostration; that is their description in the Taurat and their description in the Injeel; like as seed-produce that puts forth its sprout, then strengthens it, so it becomes stout and stands firmly on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the unbelievers on account of them; Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good, forgiveness and a great reward.

محمد(ص) اللہ کے رسول ہیں اور جو لوگ ان کے ساتھ ہیں وہ کفار کے لئے سخت ترین اور آپس میں انتہائی رحمدل ہیں تم انہیں دیکھوگے کہ بارگاہِ احدیّت میں سر خم کئے ہوئے سجدہ ریز ہیں اور اپنے پروردگار سے فضل و کرم اور اس کی خوشنودی کے طلب گار ہیں، کثرتِ سجود کی بنا پر ان کے چہروں پر سجدہ کے نشانات پائے جاتے ہیں یہی ان کی مثال توریت میں ہے اور یہی ان کی صفت انجیل میں ہے جیسے کوئی کھیتی ہو جو پہلے سوئی نکالے پھر اسے مضبوط بنائے پھر وہ موٹی ہو جائے اور پھر اپنے پیروں پر کھڑی ہو جائے کہ کاشتکاروں کو خوش کرنے لگے تاکہ ان کے ذریعہ کفار کو جلایا جائے اور اللہ نے صاحبانِ ایمان و عملِ صالح سے مغفرت اور عظیم اجر کا وعدہ کیا ہے۔

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
