Dua for House Safety from Fire
گھر جلنے سے محفوظ رکھنے کی دعا
A dua for the safety of the home from fire, kept among the supplications for safety and protection.
It is assembled from the formulae the tradition reaches for when something is genuinely feared: "You are my Lord, there is no god but You, in You I trust"; the declaration that there is no might nor power except with Allah; "sufficient for me is Allah, and the best Protector"; and the acknowledgement that whatever Allah willed was, and whatever He did not will, was not.
Its refuge is sought in the Qur'an's own words (11:56) — from the evil in the reciter's own self, and from every creature Allah takes by the forelock, for His Lord is on a straight path.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّىْ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَاَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّابِاللهِ الْعَلِىِّ الْعَظِيْمِ مَاشَآءَاللهُ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ يَشَآءْلَمْ يَكُنْ اَعْلَمُ اَنَّ اللهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ وَاَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ اَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِىْ وَمِنْ شَرِّ قَضَاۗءِ السُّوْءِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ ذِىْ شَرٍّ وَمِنْ شَرِّ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ اَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتَهَا اِنَّ رَبِّىْ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ۔
Allaahumma anta rabbee laa ilaaha illaa anta ‘alaiy-ka tawakkal-to wa anta rabbul ‘arshil ‘azeeme, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaa-hil ‘aliyyil ‘azeeme, maashaa-allaa-ho kaana wa maa-lam yashaaa-lam ya-kun a’lamo annal-laahe ‘alaa kulle shaiy-in qadee-roon wa annal-laaha qad ahaa-ta be-kulle shaiy-in ‘il-man.
Allaahumma innee a‘oozo-beka min sharre naf-see wa min sharre qazaaa-is soo-e wa min sharre kulle zee sharrin wa min sharril jinne wal inse wa min sharre kulle da-aabba-tin anta aa-khe-zoon benaa se-yata-haa inna rabbee ‘alaa seraa-tim mus-taqeem.
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no God but You. In You I trust, and You are the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no might nor power except with Allah, the Most High, the Mighty. Sufficient for me is Allah, and the best Protector. Whatever Allah has willed was, and whatever He did not will, was not. I witness that Allah is Powerful over all things, and that Allah encompasses everything in knowledge. He has numbered everything in numbers. O Allah I take refuge in You from the evil in myself and from every creature You take by the forelock. Really my Lord is on the straight path.
اے معبود! تو میرا رب ہے، نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو ہے، میں تجھ پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں، تو عظمت والے عرش کا مالک ہے، نہیں ہے طاقت و قوت مگر جو بلند و بزرگ خدا سے ہے، خدا جو چاہے ہو جاتا ہے اور جو وہ نہ چاہے نہیں ہوتا، میں جانتا ہوں کہ ﷲ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے اور یقیناً ﷲ کے علم نے ہر چیز کو گھیرا ہوا ہے۔ اے معبود !میں تیری پناہ لیتا ہوں اپنے نفس کے شر سے ہر بری شے کے شر سے، ہر شریر کے شر سے، جنوں اور انسانوں کے شر سے اور ہر حیوان کے شر سے کہ جس کی مہار تیرے ہاتھ میں ہے، یقیناً میرا رب سیدھے راستے پر ملتا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
