Duas of Quranic Istekhaara-3

قرآن سے استخارہ کی دعا۔۳

1. In his book entitled Dhikra, Shaikh Shahid, may Allah have mercy upon him, says: One of its famous types is the numerical Istikharah, which was, however, not famous in the past ages before the time of the great Sayyid of Amil (southern Lebanon), Razi Din Muhammad ibn Muhammad Awi, the neighbor of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (a) in the holy city of Najaf. May Allah have mercy upon him. Just like all of his reports, I have reported this type of Istikharah from him according to the following chain of authority: A number of our mentors have reported on the authority of the grand and virtuous Shaikh Jamal Din ibn Mutahhar on the authority of his father, may Allah be pleased with both of them, on the authority of Sayyid Razi Din on the authority of the Patron of the Matter; Imam Mahdi (a) who said: Surah Fateha is repeated 10 times, or at least 3 times, or at the least one time. Then Surah Qadr is repeated 10 times and then this supplicatory prayer is repeated 3 times…

   شیخ شہیدؒ نے اپنی کتاب ذکریٰ میں فرمایا ہے : استخاروں میں سے ایک استخارۂ عدد ہے جو ،سید کبیر رضی الدین محمد ابن محمد آلاوی مجاور روضۂ امیر المؤمنینؑ ، سے قبل مشہور نہ تھا ہم اس استخارے کو تمام روایتوں کے ساتھ اپنے مشائخ میں سے شیخ کبیر فاضل جمال الدین ابن مطہرؒ سے اور وہ اپنے والد گرامی سے اور وہ سید رضی الدینؒ مذکور سے اور وہ حضرت صاحب العصر(عج)سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ سورۂ فاتحہ ۱۰ مرتبہ اس سے کم ۳ مرتبہ اور کم از کم ایک مرتبہ اور پھر سورۂ قدر ۱۰ مرتبہ پڑھے اور اس کے بعد ۳ مرتبہ یہ دعا پڑھے۔۔۔

2. بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

   BISMI ALLAAHI AR-RAHMAANI AR-RAHEEM

   In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

   اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

3. اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْتَخِيْرُكَ لِعِلْمِكَ بِعَاقِبَةِ الْاُمُوْرِ وَاَسْتَشِيْرُكَ لِحُسْنِ ظَنِّىْ بِكَ فِى الْمَامُوْلِ وَالْمَحْذُوْرِ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ كَانَ الْاَمْرُ الْفُلَانِىْ مِمَّا قَدْ نِيْطَتْ بِالْبَرَكَةِ اَعْجَازُهُ وَبَوَادِيْهِ وَحُفَّتْ بِالْكَرَامَةِ اَيَّامُهٗ وَلَيَالِيْهِ فَخِرْلِىْ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ فِيْهِ خِيَرَةً تَرُدُّ شُمُوْسَهٗ ذَلُوْلًا وَتَقْعَضُ اَيَّامَهُ سُرُوْرًا۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِمَّا اَمْرٌ فَاَئْتَمِرُ وَاِمَّا نَهْىٌ فَاَنْتَهِىْ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْتَخِيْرُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ خِيَرَةً فِىْ عَافِيَةٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA INNEE ASTAKHEERUKA LI'ILMIKA BI'AAQIBATI AL-UMOORI WA-ASTASHEERUKA LIHUSNI ZANNEE BIKA FEE AL-MAAMOOLI WAL-MAHZOOR. ALLAAHUMMA IN KAANA AL-AMRU AL-FULAANEE MIMMAA QAD NEETAT BIL-BARAKATI A'JAAZUHU WABAWAADEEHI WAHUFFAT BIL-KARAAMATI AYYAAMUHOO WALAYAALEEHI FAKHIRLEE. ALLAAHUMMA FEEHI KHIYARATAN TARUDDU SHUMOOSAHOO ZALOOLAN WATAQ'ADU AYYAAMAHU SUROORAA. ALLAAHUMMA IMMAA AMRUN FA-A'TAMIRU WA-IMMAA NAHYUN FA-ANTAHEE. ALLAAHUMMA INNEE ASTAKHEERUKA BIRAHMATIKA KHIYARATAN FEE 'AAFIYAH.

   O Allah, I seek the best choice from You because You know the outcomes of all affairs, and I seek counsel from You because of my good opinion of You regarding what I hope for and what I fear. O Allah, if this particular matter is one whose beginnings and ends have been bound with blessing, and whose days and nights are surrounded with grace, then choose it for me. O Allah, (place) in it a choice for me that makes its “suns” submissive (i.e., makes things easy and manageable) and turns its days into joy. O Allah, if it is a command, then I will carry it out; and if it is a prohibition, then I will refrain. O Allah, I seek the best choice from You by Your mercy a choice with well-being.

   اے معبود! میں تجھ سے خیر طلب کرتا ہوں کہ تو معاملوں کے انجام کو جانتا ہے تجھ سے مشورہ کرتا ہوں کہ امیدوں اور خطروں میں تجھ ہی سے حسن ظن ہے اے معبود! اگر فلاں کام ان کاموں میں سے ہے کہ جن کے انجام میں برکت ہے اور آغاز میں بھی اور اس کے دن رات نفع سے بھر پور ہیں تو اے معبود! تو میرے لئے اس خیر کو اختیار کر جس سے سرکش اطاعت گزار ہو جائے اور دن خوشیوں سے بھر جائیں اے معبود! اگر کرنے کا حکم ہے تو کروں اور نہیں ہے تو رکا رہوں اے معبود! میں تجھ سے خیر طلب کرتا ہوں تیری رحمت سے ایسی خیر جس میں آرام ہو۔

4. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   ALLAAHUMMA SALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA-AALI MUHAMMAD.

   O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

   اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔

5. Then, a portion of the rosary is held with the hand while the issue for which the Istikharah has been done is kept hidden in the mind. If the number of the beads in the portion held by the hand comes to be even, this will be a sign to do what has been intended to do. If conversely the number of the beads comes to be odd, this will be a sign not to do what has been intended to do, or the opposite, according to the way already decided by the doer of the Istikharah (he, before entering into this Istikharah, must first of all decide that the even number will be considered an order to do and the odd will be considered warning against it, or the opposite).

   پھر تسبیح کے کچھ دانے مٹھی میں لے کر اپنی حاجت دل میں لائے اگر مٹھی میں لیے ہوئے دانوں کی تعداد جفت ہے تو یہ ’’افعل‘‘(اس کام کے کرنے کا حکم) اور طاق ہے تو یہ ’’لا تفعل‘‘(اس کام کے نہ کرنے کا حکم )ہے، یا اس کے برعکس کہ طاق بہتر ہے اور جفت بہتر نہیں ‘یہ استخارہ کرنے والوں کی نیت سے وابستہ ہے۔ مؤلف کہتے ہیں: ’’تقعض‘‘ضاد معجمہ کے ساتھ ہے جس کے معنی ہیں لوٹ جائے پلٹ جائے اور ہم نے نمازوں کے باب میں استخارۂ ذات الرقاع اور دیگر اقسام کے استخاروں کا ذکر کیا ہے لہٰذا ان کی طرف رجوع کیا جائے۔
