Etiquettes of Maghrib Prayers
آداب نماز مغرب
You should then hurry for performing the Maghrib Prayer, because it is strongly discommended to postpone performing it at its earliest time. Actually, traditions have laid very much emphasis on warning against postponing performing the Maghrib Prayer at its earliest time. When you intend to perform this prayer, you may utter the adhan and the iqamah statements. In the space of time between adhan and iqamah, you may say the following supplicatory prayer…
پھر نماز مغرب کی ادائيگی میں جلدی کرے اور يہ مناسب نہيں کہ اسے اول وقت کے بعد ادا کرے، بہت سی احاديث میں تاکيد کی گئی ہے کہ نماز مغرب کو اول وقت کے بعد تأخير سے نہ پڑھا جائے۔ جب نماز پڑھنے کا اراده کرے تو اذان و اقامت کہے اور ان دونوں کے درميان يہ دعا پڑھے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِاِقْبَالِ نَهَارِكَ وَاِدْبَارِ لَيْلِكَ وَحُضُوْرِ صَلٰوتِكَ وَاَصْوَاتِ دُعَاۗئِكَ وَتَسْبِيْحِ مَلَاۗئِكَتِكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تَتُوْبَ عَلَىَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ۔
Allaahumma innee as-aloka be-iqbaale nahaa-reka wa id-baare laiy-leka wa hozoo-re salaate-ka wa as-waate do-a’aa-e-ka wa tasbee-he malaaa-e-kate-ka an to-sal-leyya a’laa mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin wa an tatoo-ba a’laiyya inna-ka an-tat tawwaa-bur raheemo.
O Allah, I ask You by the coming of Your day and the passing of Your night, by the presence of Your prayer, and by the voices of Your supplication, and by the glorification (tasbih) of Your angels: send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and turn to me in mercy (accept my repentance). Indeed, You are the Ever-Accepting of repentance, the Most Merciful.
اے معبود! میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں تیرے دن کے آنے، تیری رات کے جانے اورتیری نماز کا وقت ہونے، تجھے پکارنے والی آوازوں اور تیرے فرشتوں کی تسبیح کے واسطے سے کہ تو رحمت نازل فرما محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ پر اور یہ کہ میری توبہ قبول کر کہ بے شک تو ہی توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے۔
You may then perform the Sunset Obligatory Prayer, observing all of its etiquettes and meeting all of its conditions. Upon accomplishment, you may utter the Takbeer statement (ALLAAHO AKBAR) 3 times and say Tasbeeh’e Zahra. You may then say the following…
پھر کھڑے ہو کر آداب و شرائط کے ساتھ نماز مغرب بجا لاے اور نماز سے فارغ ہونے کے بعد ۳ تکبيريں اور تسبيح زہراؑ پڑھے اور پھر کہے۔۔۔
اِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلٰۗئِكَتَهٗ يُصَلُّوْنَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا صَلُّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِيْمًا۔
Innal-laaha wa malaaa-e-kata-hu yo-salloona a’lan nabiyye, yaaa-ayyo-hal lazeena aa-manoo salloo a’laihe wa salle-moo tasleeman.
Surely Allah and His angels bless the Prophet; O you who believe! call for (Divine) blessings on him and salute him with a (becoming) salutation.
بے شک اﷲ اور اس کے فرشتے درود بھیجتے ہیں نبی اکرمؐ پر اے ایمان والوتم بھی ان پر درود بھیجو اوراس طرح سلام کرو جیسا حق ہے۔
You may also repeat the following litany 7 times…
اس کے بعد ۷ مرتبہ کہے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ۔
Bismillaa-hir rahmaa-nir raheeme wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaa-hil a’liyyil a’zeeme.
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. There is neither might nor power except with Allah, the All-high, the All-great.
خدا کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو رحمٰن ورحیم ہے۔ خدا ئے بزرگ وبرتر کے علاوہ کسی کو طاقت و قوت نہیں ہے۔
You may also repeat the following doxology 3 times…
پھر ۳ مرتبہ کہے۔۔۔
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاۗءُ وَلَا يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاۗءُ غَيْرُهٗ۔
Al-hamdo lillaa-hil lazee yaf-a’lo maa yasha-aa-o wa laa yaf-a’lo maa yasha-aa-o ghaiyro-hu.
All praise be to Allah Who does whatever He wills/desires, and none else can ever do whatever one desires save Him.
ہر قسم کی تعریف خداکے لئے ہے وہ جو چاہتا ہے کرتا ہے اور اس کے سوا کوئی نہیں جو جی چاہے کرسکے۔
You may also say the following imploration…
اس کے بعد کہے۔۔۔
سُبْحَانَكَ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ اِغْفِرْ لِيْ ذُنُوْبِيْ كُلَّهَا جَمِيْعًا فَاِنَّهٗ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ كُلَّهَا جَمِيْعًا اِلَّا اَنْتَ۔
Subhaana-ka laa ilaaha illaa anta ighfir-li zonoo-bee kulla-haajamee-an’ fa-inna-hu laa yaghfe-ruz zonooba kulla-haa jamee-an’ illaa anta.
Glory be to You. There is no god save You. Forgive my sins all in all, for none can forgive all sins save You.
پاک ہے تو کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں میرے سارے کے سارے گناہ بخش دے کیوں کہ تیرے سوا کوئی اور تمام گناہوں کو بخشنے والا نہیں ہے۔
If you wish to say more post-prayer utterances, it is then favorable to delay saying them until you offer the supererogatory sunset prayer, which consists of 4 units, each 2 separately (you say the Salaam statement after the 2nd and 4th units). It is discommended to say anything (other than supplications) in the space of time between the obligatory and supererogatory sunset prayers. In the 1st unit of the supererogatory prayer, you may recite Surah Fateha and Surah Kaafiroon. In the 2nd, you may recite Surah Fateha and Surah Ikhlaas. In the 3rd and 4th units, you may recite any Surah you wish although it is highly advisable to recite in the 3rd unit Surah Fateha and the following verses, which are the first 6 verses of Surah Hadid (57:1-6). It is also high advisable to recite in the 4th unit of the supererogatory sunset prayer Surah Fateha and the following holy verses, which are the last 4 verses of Surah Hashr (59:21-24). Just like all other supererogatory prayers, it is acceptably sufficient to recite Surah Fateha alone in each unit. It is highly advisable to recite the Surahs with audible voice, just like other supererogatory night prayers. Upon accomplishing the supererogatory sunset prayer, you may say any of the general post-prayer utterances. You may then do the thanksgiving prostration as has been previously cited. The least thing in the thanksgiving prostration is to say SHUKRAN 3 times.
اگر اس سے زياده تعقيبات پڑھنا چاہے تو نافلہ مغرب کے بعد پڑھنا افضل ہے ،لہذا نافلہ مغرب ادا کرنے کے ليے کھڑا ہو جائے اور يہ ۲ سلام کے ساتھ ۴ رکعت ہيں پس ان کو ۲۔۲رکعت کر کے پڑھے، نماز مغرب اور اس کے نافلہ کے درميان کسی سے بات کرنا مکروه ہے، اس نافلہ کی پہلی رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ کافرون اور دوسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے آخری ۲ رکعتوں میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد جو سورہ چاہے پڑھ سکتا ہے ، ليکن مناسب ہے کہ تيسری رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد سوره حدید: ۱۔۶ آيات پڑھے اورچو تھی رکعت میں سوره حشر:۲۱۔۲۴ آیات پڑھے اگر صرف سورۂ فاتحہ پر اکتفا کرے تو بھی جائز ہے، جيسے ديگر نوافل میں جائز ہوتا ہے نيز مناسب ہے کہ يہ نوافل اور رات کے ديگر نوافل بلند آواز سے پڑھے جائيں۔ جب نوافل سے فراغت پاے تو تعقيبات مشترکہ میں سے پڑھ لينے میں کوئی حرج نہيں ہے، پھر سجده شکر بجالاے اور اس کے ليے کم سے کم جو ذکر کافی ہو سکتا ہے وه يہ ہے کہ ۳ مرتبہ شکرنًا کہے۔
