کتاب مجتنیٰ ہی میں مذکور ہے کہ ایک شخص نے حضرت رسول اﷲؐکو خواب میں دیکھا تو حضرت سے درخواست کی : مجھے ایسی دعا تعلیم فرمائیے کہ جس سے میرا دل زندہ ہو جائے پس حضور اکرمؐ نے اسے یہ کلمات تعلیم فرمائے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ، يَا لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُحْيِىَ قَلْبِىْ۔
Yaa hayyu yaa qayyoomu, yaa laa ilaaha illaa anta as'aluka an tuhyiya qalbee.
O He Who is ever-living! O He Who is self-subsisting! O He save Whom there is no god! I ask You to make my heart alive.
اے زندہ اے پائندہ اے وہ کہ نہیں معبود سوائے تیرے، تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ میرے دل کو زندہ کردے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
