Those who oppressed
جنہوں نے ظلم کیا
A dua of complaint, kept among the texts that concern oppression. Its subject is the loss the Shia tradition marks after the passing of the Holy Prophet (s).
The reciter complains to Allah of the death of His Prophet, His Messenger and His chosen one; of the turning back of his ummah; and of their withholding of the rights that Allah had placed for the Ahl al-Bayt (a) in His Book and sent down through His Prophet’s own tongue. It is a grievance laid before Allah rather than an imprecation, and it closes with salawat upon Muhammad and his progeny.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِلَیْكَ نَشْكُوْ فَقْدَ نَبِیِّكَ وَرَسُلِكَ وَصَفِیِّكَ وَارْتِدَادَ اُمَّتِهٖ، وَمَنْعَهُمْ اِیَّانَا حَقَّنَا الَّذِیْ جَعَلْتَهٗ لَنَا فِیْ كِتَابِكَ الْمُنْزَلِ عَلٰی نَبِیِّكَ بِلِسَانِهٖ۔
Allaahumma elayka nash-koo faq-da nabiyyeka wa rasooleka wa safiyyeka war te-daada ummatehi wa man-a’hum iyyaanaa haqqanal lazee ja-a’ltahu lanaa fee ketaabekal munzale a’laa nabiyyeka be-lesaanehi.
O Allah I complain to You of the death of Your Prophet, Your Messenger and Your chosen one and the retreating of his Ummah and their denying us our rights which You placed for us in Your Book, sent through Your Prophet, in his tongue (language).
اے پروردگار! میں تیری بارگاہ میں شکایت کرتی ہوں، تیرے برگزیدہ رسول اور پیغمبر کے چلے جانے پر اور اس کی امت کے پلٹ جانے پر اور ہمارے حق کے غضب کرنے پر، وہ حق جو ہمارے لئے اپنے نبی پر نازل شدہ کتاب میں ہمارے لئے قرار دیا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
