Zikr to be recited near the Dying person

مرنے والے کے پاس جو ذکر پڑھا جائے

1. One before whom death appears should face the Qiblah direction with the sole of the feet. In his presence, there should be one who recites Surah Yaasin and Surah Saaffaat and instructs the moribund to say the two creeds of Islam, to confess following the Holy Imams by names, and to say the following supplicatory words of relief…

   بہتر ہے کہ موت کے قریب ہونے کے وقت مرنے والے کے پیروں کے تلوے قبلہ کی طرف کیے جائیں اس کے ساتھ ایک ایسا شخص ہونا چاہیے جو سورۂ یس اور سورۂ صافات کی تلاوت اور ذکرِ خدا کرے، مرنے والے کو شہادتین کی تلقین کرے ایک ایک امام کا نام لے کر اس سے اقرار کرائے اور اسے کلماتِ فرج کی یوں تلقین کرے۔۔۔

2. لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ الْحَلِیْمُ الْكَرِیْمُ لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللہُ الْعَلِیُّ الْعَظِیْمُ سُبْحَانَ اللہِ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبِّ الْاَرَضِیْنَ السَّبْعِ وَمَا فِیْھِنَّ وَمَا بَیْنَھُنَّ وَمَا فَوْقَھُنَّ وَمَا تَحْتَھُنَّ وَھُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ وَسَلَامٌ عَلَی الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلہِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِیْنَ وَصَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

   LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ALLAAHU AL-HALEEMU AL-KAREEMU LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ALLAAHU AL-'ALIYYU AL-'AZEEMU SUBHAANA ALLAAHI RABBI AS-SAMAAWAATI AS-SAB'I WARABBI AL-ARADEENA AS-SAB'I WAMAA FEEHINNA WAMAA BAYNAHUNNA WAMAA FAWQAHUNNA WAMAA TAHTAHUNNA WAHUWA RABBU AL-'ARSHI AL-'AZEEMI WASALAAMUN 'ALAA AL-MURSALEENA WAL-HAMDU LILLAAHI RABBI AL-'AALAMEENA WASALLI 'ALAA MUHAMMADIN WA AALI MUHAMMAD.

   There is no god save Allah the All-forbearing and All-generous. There is no god save Allah the All-high and All-great. All glory be to Allah the Lord of the seven heavens, the Lord of the seven layers of the earth, whatever is in them, whatever is between them, whatever is above them, and whatever is beneath them, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne. Peace be on the messengers, and all praise be to Allah the Lord of the worlds. Blessings be upon Muhammad and his Immaculate Household.

   نہیں ہے معبود مگر ﷲ جو بردبار اور سخی ہے، نہیں ہے معبود مگر ﷲ جو بلند و بزرگ تر ہے ، پاک تر ہے ﷲ جو مالک ہے سات آسمانوں کا اور مالک ہے سات زمینوں کا اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے اوپر ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے نیچے ہے اور عظمت والے عرش کا مالک ہے، اور سلام ہو رسولوں پر، اور حمد ہے ﷲ کے لیے جو عالمین کا رب ہے اور درود ہو حضرت محمدؐ اور ان کی پاک آلؑ پر۔

3. The moribund must not be attended by ceremonially impure persons or menstruating women.

   یہ احتیاط کی جائے کہ مرنے والے کے پاس کوئی جنب یا حائض نہ آئے۔
