PLEASE NOTE: Be it clear that the reason for presenting Translation is to understand Salaat and to recite in Arabic with concentration because reciting Salaat other than Arabic language (or Transliteration) is not correct.
The trustworthy Shaykh al-Kulayni, may Allah have mercy upon him, reports in his book of al-Kafi that Abd al-Rahim al-Qaseer said: I once visited Imam al-Sadiq (a) and said: may Allah accept me as ransom for you! I have invented a formula of prayer, the Imam (a) answered, save me from your inventions! Whenever a disaster befalls you, you should have recourse to the Messenger of Allah and offer a 2-unit prayer and dedicate it to him (s). How can I do that? I asked. ثقۃ الاسلام شیخ کلینیؒ معتبر سند کے ساتھ عبد الرحیم قصیر سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے کہاہے : میں امام جعفر صادق ؑ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: قربان جاؤں! میں نے اپنی طرف سے ایک دعا ایجاد کی ہے حضرتؑ نے فرمایا: اپنی اس ایجاد کو رہنے دو بلکہ جب بھی کوئی حاجت درپیش ہو تو رسول اللہؐ کی پنا ہ تلاش کرو اور یوں کہ ۲ رکعت نماز پڑھ کر آنحضرت ؐکے لئے ہدیہ کرو، میں نے عرض کیا: یہ نماز کیسے پڑھوں؟ فرمایا: غسل کرو اور پھر ۲ رکعت نماز فریضہ کے مانند ادا کرو اور نماز کا سلام پڑھنے کے بعد یہ کہو۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، وَاِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ السَّلَامُ، اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَبَلِّغْ رُوْحَ مُحَمَّدٍ مِنِّي السَّلَامَ، وَاَرْوَاحَ الْاَئِمَّةِ الصَّادِقِيْنَ سَلَامِيْ، وَارْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ السَّلَامَ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ، اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ هَاتَيْنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّيْ اِلٰى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ، فَاَثِبْنِيْ عَلَيْهِمَا مَا اَمَّلْتُ، وَرَجَوْتُ فِيْكَ وَفِيْ رَسُولِكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ۔
Allaahumma an-tas salaamo, wa min-kas salaamo, wa ilaiy-ka yarje-o’s salaamo, allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin, wa balligh rooha mohammadin minnis salaama, wa arwaa-hal aimma-tas saade-qeena salaami, war-dud a’laiyya minho-mus salaama, was-salaamo a’laiy-him wa rahma-tul-laahe wa bara-kaato-hu, allaahumma inna haatee-nir rak-a’tee-ne hadiyya-toon minnee rasoo-lil-laahe sallal laaho a’laiy-he wa aale-hi, fa-asib-nee a’laiy-him maa ammal-to, wa rajaw-to feeka wa fee rasoole-la yaa waliyyal momeneena.
O Allah, You are the (source of) peace; from You does peace come; and to You does peace return. O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, convey my greetings to the soul of Muhammad and the souls of the veracious Imams, and convey to me their response of my greetings. Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon them. O Allah, these two units of prayer are present from me to Allah’s Messenger, peace and greetings of Allah be upon him and his Household. So, (please) decide Your reward to be that You grant me what I have hoped and expected from You and Your Messenger. O Guardian of the believers.
اے معبود! تو سلامتی والا ہے اور سلامتی تجھ ہی سے ہے سلامتی تیری ہی طرف لوٹتی ہے اے معبود! رحمت نازل کر محمدؐ وآل محمد ؐپر اور میری طرف سے سلام پہنچا روح ِ محمدؐ اور سچے اماموں ؑکی پاکیزہ روحوں پر اور ان کی طرف سے مجھ پر سلام پلٹا سلام ہو ان سب پر خدا کی رحمت اور اس کی برکات اے معبود! یقیناً یہ دورکعتیں ہدیہ ہیں میری طرف سے حضرت رسول اکرم ؐکی خدمت میں پس مجھے ان کا ثواب دے جس کی امید و آرزو تجھ سے ہے اور تیرے رسول ؐسے ہےاے مومنوں کے مددگار۔
You may then prostrate and repeat the following 40 times…
سجدے میں جائے اور ۴۰ مرتبہ کہے۔۔۔
يَا حَیُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا حَيًّا لَا يَمُوْتُ يَا حَيًّا لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِکْرَامِ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ۔
Yaa hayyo yaa qaiy-yoomo, yaa hayyan laa yamooto, yaa hayyan laa ilaaha illaa anta yaa zal jalaale wal-ikraa-me yaa ar-hamar raahe-meena.
O Ever-living! O Self-Subsisting! O Ever-living One Who never dies! O Ever-living One; there is no god save You! O Lord of majesty and honoring! O most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
اے زندہ پائندہ، اے زندہ جسے موت نہیں، اے زندہ نہیں کوئی معبود مگر تو ہے، اے دبدبے اورعزت والے، اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔
You may then put your right cheek on the ground and repeat the aforesaid supplication 40 times. You may then put your left cheek on the ground and repeat the supplication more 40 times. You may then raise your head from prostration, extend your hands (towards the sky) and repeat the supplication forty times. You may then pull your hands to your neck, point out with your forefinger, and repeat the supplication forty times. You may then hold your beard with your left hand and weep, or try to weep, and say the following…
پھر اپنا دایاں رخسار زمین پر رکھواور یہی دعا ۴۰ مرتبہ پڑھو پھر بایاں رخسار زمین پر رکھو اور ۴۰ مرتبہ یہی دعا پڑھو اس کے بعد سر سجدے سے اٹھا کر ہاتھوں کو بلند کر کے یہی دعا ۴۰ مرتبہ پڑھو پھر ہاتھوں کو گردن میں ڈال کر اور انگشتِ شہادت بلند کر کے التجا کرو اور ۴۰ مرتبہ یہی دعا پڑھو بعد میں اپنی داڑھی بائیں ہاتھ میں لے کر روتے ہوئے یا رونے کی صورت بناتے ہوئے یہ دعا پڑھو۔۔۔
يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ، اَشْكُوْ اِلَى اللهِ وَاِلَيْكَ حَاجَتِيْ، وَاِلٰى اَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ الرَّاشِدِيْنَ حَاجَتِيْ، وَبِكُمْ اَتَوَجَّهٗ اِلَى اللهِ فِيْ حَاجَتِيْ۔
Yaa mohammado yaa rasoo-lal-laahe, ash-koo ilal-laahe wa ilaiy-ka haaja-tee, wa ilaa ahle baiyte-kar raashe-deena haaja-tee, wa be-kum ata-wajja-hu ilal-laahe fee haaja-tee.
O Muhammad! O Allah’s Messenger! I complain to Allah and to you about my need and I complain to your Household, the rightly guided, about my need, and through you all I turn my face towards Allah to grant me my need.
یامحمدؐ یا رسول ؐاللہ! میں اپنی حاجت اللہ کے اورآپ ؐکے اور آپ کے ہدایت یافتہ اہل بیت ؑ کے حضور پیش کر رہاہوں اور آپ کے وسیلے سے اپنی حاجت خدا کے سامنے پیش کرتا ہوں۔
You should then prostrate and repeat the following word as much as one breath can take…
پھر سجدے میں جاکر جب تک کہ سانس نہ ٹوٹ جائے کہو۔۔۔
یَا اللہُ یَااللہُ۔
Yaa allaaho, yaa allaaho.
O Allah! O Allah!
اے اللہ، اے اللہ۔
Then say…
پھر کہے۔۔۔
صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَافْعَلْ بِیْ کَذَا وَکَذَا۔
Salle a’laa mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin waf-a’l bee kaza wa kaza.
Please, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and fulfill (here mention your needs) my need.
رحمت نازل فرما محمدؐ و آل محمدؑپر اور میری یہ (یہاں پر اپنی حاجات بیان کرو) حاجت پوری فرما۔
You may now mention your need. If you do so, Imam Sadiq (a) added, I guarantee that Allah the Almighty and Majestic will settle your need before you leave your place.
اس کے ساتھ ہی حضرت امام جعفر صادق ؑ نے فرمایا : میں خدا کے یہاں اس بات کا ضامن ہوں کہ ابھی تم نے اپنی جگہ سے حرکت بھی نہ کی ہوگی تمہاری حاجت پوری ہوجائے گی۔
In al-Balad al-Amin, Kafami states: for urgent needs, the following words may be written on a sheet of paper and then thrown in (current) water…
شیخ کفعمی ؒ نے بلد الامین میں ذکر فرمایا ہے : جب سخت مشکل در پیش ہو تو درج ذیل کلمات کا غذ پر لکھ کر اسے بہتے پانی میں بہا دے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ، مِنَ الْعَبْدِ الذَّلِيْلِ اِلَى الْمَوْلَى الْجَلِيْلِ، رَبِّ اِنِّيْ مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ، بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِهٖ، صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِهٖ، وَاكْشِفْ هَمِّيْ وَفَرِّجْ عَنِّيْ غَمِّيْ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
Bismilla-hir rahma-nir raheem, menal a’bdiz zaleele ilal maw-lal jaleele, rabbe innee mas-sane-yaz zurro wa anta ar-hamur raahe-meena, be-haqqe mohammadiw wa aale-hi, salle a’laa mohammadiw wa aale-hi, wak-shif hammee wa farrij a’nnee ghammee, be-rah-mate-ka yaa ar-hamar-raahe-meena.
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. From the submissive servant to the All-majestic Lord. O Lord: Harm has afflicted me, and You are the most Merciful of the merciful. In the name of Muhammad and his Household, (please) bless Muhammad and his Household, take off my distress and relieve me from my grief, out of Your mercy, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
خدا کے نام سے جو بڑا رحم والا مہربان ہے اس ناچیز بندے کی طرف سے عظمت والے مالک کے حضور پروردگار مجھے سخت مصیبت نے گھیر لیا ہے اور تو سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والا ہےتجھے واسطہ ہے محمدؐ اور ان کی آلؑ کا محمؐد اور ان کی آلؑ پر رحمت کر میرا رنج دور کر اور اپنی رحمت سے غم مٹا دے اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔
