مؤلف کہتے ہیں : مسجد زیدؒ کوفہ کی مساجد میں سے ایک ہے اور زید ابن صوحان کی طرف منسوب ہے۔ زید ابن صوحان امیر المومنینؑ کے بزرگ اصحاب میں سے تھے اور ان کو ابدال تصور کیا جاتا ہے۔ وہ جنگِ جمل میں امیر المومنینؑ کی نصرت کرتے ہوئے مقامِ شہادت پر سرفراز ہوئے۔ جب مسجد میں داخل ہو تو اس طرح سے پڑھے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللهِ وَبِاللهِ وَاِلَی اللہِ وَخَیْرُ الْاَسْمَائِ لِلّٰہِ تَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَی اللہِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّۃَ اِلَّا بِاللہِ، اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَافْتَحْ لِیْ اَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِکَ وَتَوْبَتِکَ وَاَغْلِقْ عَنِّیْ اَبْوَابَ مَعْصِیَتِکَ وَاجْعَلْنِیْ مِنْ زُوَّارِکَ وَعُمَّارِ مَسَاجِدِکَ وَمِمَّن یُّنَاجِیْکَ بِاللَّیْلِ وَالنَّہَارِ وَمِنَ الَّذِیْنَ ہُمْ فِیْ صَلٰوتِہِمْ خَاشِعُوْنَ وَادْحَرْ عَنِّیْ الشَّیْطَانَ الرَّجِیْمَ وَجُنُوْدَ اِبْلِیْسَ اَجْمَعِیْنَ۔
Bismi allaahi wabillaahi wa-ilaa allaahi wakhayru al-asmaa'i lillaahi tawakkaltu 'alaa allaahi laa hawla walaa quwwata illaa billaahi, allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin waftah lee abwaaba rahmatika watawbatika wa-aghliq 'annee abwaaba ma'siyatika waj'alnee min zuwwaarika wa'ummaari masaajidika wamimman yunaajeeka bil-layli wan-nahaari wamina allazeena hum fee salaatihim khaashi'oona wadhar 'annee ash-shaytaana ar-rajeema wajunooda ibleesa ajma'een.
In the name of Allah, and by Allah, and to Allah. The best of names belong to Allah. I place my trust in Allah. There is no power and no strength except through Allah. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. Open for me the doors of Your mercy and Your repentance, and close against me the doors of disobedience to You. Make me among Your visitors and among those who keep Your mosques thriving, and among those who converse with You (in prayer) by night and by day, and among those who are humble and reverent in their prayers. And drive away from me Satan the accursed, and all the armies of Iblis.
اللہ کے نام سے، اللہ کے ساتھ، اور اللہ ہی کی طرف۔ اللہ کے سب سے اچھے نام اسی کے ہیں۔ میں نے اللہ پر بھروسا کیا۔ اللہ کے سوا نہ کوئی طاقت ہے نہ کوئی قوت۔ اے اللہ! محمدؐ اور آلِ محمدؑ پر درود بھیج۔ میرے لیے اپنی رحمت اور توبہ کے دروازے کھول دے، اور میرے لیے گناہ کے دروازے بند کر دے۔ مجھے اپنے زائرین میں شامل فرما، اور ان لوگوں میں شامل فرما جو تیری مسجدوں کو آباد رکھتے ہیں۔ مجھے اُن میں شامل کر دے جو رات اور دن تجھ سے دعا اور راز و نیاز کرتے ہیں، اور اُن میں بھی جو اپنی نماز میں عاجزی اور خشوع رکھتے ہیں۔ اور مجھ سے شیطانِ مردود اور ابلیس کے تمام لشکروں کو دور کر دے۔
Then pray 2 rakats namaz like Fajr, and then raise your hands and recite dua Ilaahi qad madda ilai-ka.
پھر ۲ رکعت نماز ادا کرے اور بعد میں ہاتھوں کو پھیلا کر دعا اِلٰھِیْ قَدْ مَدَّ اِلَیْكَ پڑھے جو انہی کی دعاہے جسے وہ نماز تہجد میں پڑھتے تھے۔
Try to weep and place your face on the ground and say…
پھر گریہ کرے چہرہ خاک پر رکھ کر کہے۔۔۔
اِرْحَمْ مَنْ اَسَآءَ وَاقْتَرَفَ وَاسْتَكَانَ وَاعْتَرَفَ۔
Irham man asaa'a waqtarafa wastakaana wa'taraf.
(Please) have mercy upon him who had misbehaved and committed sins, but he then submitted and confessed.
رحم کر اس گناہ گار پر جس نے گناہ کئے جو بے چارہ ہے اور اپنے گناہوں کااعتراف کرتا ہے۔
Place your right cheek on the ground and say…
اب دایاں رُخسار زمین پر رکھ کر کہے۔۔۔
اِنْ كُنْتُ بِئْسَ الْعَبْدُ فَاَنْتَ نِعْمَ الرَّبُّ۔
In kuntu bi'sa al-'abdu fa-anta ni'ma ar-rabb.
If I am the worst servant (of You), then You are the All-excellent Lord.
اگر میں بُرا بندہ ہوں تو توبہترین پروردگار ہے۔
Place your left cheek on the ground and say…
پھر بایاں رُخسار زمین پر رکھ کر کہے۔۔۔
عَظُمَ الذَّنْۢبُ مِنْ عَبْدِكَ فَلْیَحْسُنِ الْعَفْوُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ یَآ كَرِیْمُ۔
'Azuma az-zanbu min 'abdika fal-yahsuni al-'afwu min 'indika yaa kareem.
Your servant’s sin has been very flagrant, then let Your pardon be very excellent, O All-generous!
تیرے بندے کے گناہ عظیم ہیں تو تیری بخشش بھی حَسین ہو اے کرم کرنے والے۔
Then again go into sajdah and recite 100 times…
اب حالتِ سجدہ میں ہوکر ۱۰۰ بار یہ کہے۔۔۔
اَلْعَفْوَ اَلْعَفْوَ۔
Al-'afwa al-'afw.
