According to Misbaah uz Zaaer when you enter Kufa, you must recite…
Bismi allaahi wabillaahi wafee sabeeli allaahi wa'alaa millati rasooli allaahi sallaa allaahu 'alayhi wa-aalih.
Allaahumma anzilnee munzalan mubaarakan wa-anta khayru al-munzileen.
In the Name of Allah (I begin), in Allah (I trust), on the way of Allah, and on the norm of the Messenger of Allah. (I proceed), may Allah bless him and his Household. O Allah, (please do) enable me to reside blessedly and You are the best of those who enable to reside.
When you start move towards the Masjid repeat…
Allaahu akbaru walaa ilaaha illaa allaahu wal-hamdu lillaahi wasubhaana allaah.
Allah is the Greatest. There is no god but Allah. All praise be to Allah. All glory be to Allah.
It is better to enter Masjid’e Kufa through the gate known as Baab al-Feel.
