The reports differ: the year is given as 128 or 129 AH, and al-Tabari places the birth in Dhu al-Hijja instead, so this is not a settled date. The same day carries mourning for Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba (a) in another reckoning, and where the two fall together the Centre lets the mourning lead.
