1st Day of Rajab

پہلی رجب کا دن

1. Birthday of Imam Muhammad Baqir (a) (57H).

   ولادت امام محمد باقرؑ ۵۷؁ھ

2. It is advisable to observe fasting on this day. According to narrations, Prophet Noah (a) embarked on the Ark on such a day; he therefore ordered his companions to observe fasting. Hence, whoever observes fasting on this day, Hellfire will move away from him for a distance of one year walking.

   یہ بڑی عظمت والا دن ہے : روزہ رکھنا، روایت میں ہے کہ حضرت نوحؑ اسی دن کشتی پر سوار ہوئے اور آپؑ نے اپنے ساتھیوں کو روزہ رکھنے کا حکم دیا لہٰذا جو شخص اس دن کا روزہ رکھے تو جہنم کی آگ اس سے ایک سال کی مسافت کے برابر دور رہے گی۔

3. Perform Ghusl (Spiritual Bath).

   اس دن غسل کرنا ضروری اور باعثِ خیر و برکت ہے۔

4. Shaikh Tusi has narrated on the authority of Bashir al-Dahhan that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a) said, “Whoever visits (Imam) Husain (a) and recites 1st Rajab Ziyarat, Almighty Allah will forgive him all his sins."

   حضرت امام حسینؑ کی ۱؍رجب کی زیارت پڑھے، جیسا کہ شیخؒ نے بشیر دھان سے اور انہوں نے امام جعفر صادقؑ سے روایت کی ہے کہ فرمایا: پہلی رجب کے دن امام حسینؑ کی زیارت کرنے والے کو خدائے تعالیٰ یقینًا بخش دے گا۔

5. Recite Ziyarat Imam Reza (a).

   اس دن زیارت امام علی رضاؑپڑھے۔

6. It is recommended to say the long dua Allahumma inni as-aloka ya Allaho, particularized for this day and mentioned in the book of Iqbal al-A’mal.

   مستحب ہے کہ دعا اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ يَا اللهُ پڑھے جو سیدؒ نے کتاب اقبال میں نقل کی ہے۔

7. On 1st Rajab recite 1st Part Namaz-e-Salmaan.

   ۱؍رجب کو پہلا حصہ نمازِ سلمان ادا کرے۔

8. This greatly advantageous prayer must not be neglected. However, Salman has another namaz, to be offered on this day, which consists of 10 rakat; in each rakat after Surah Fateha recite Surah Ikhlaas 3 times. It achieves forgiveness of all sins, protects against the grave torture and the chastisement on the Resurrection Day, and saves from leprosy, elephantiasis and pleurisy.

   اس نماز کے فوائد اور برکات بہت زیادہ ہیں لہٰذا اس سے غفلت نہ برتی جائے۔ واضح ہو کہ یکم رجب کے دن میں حضرت سلمان کی ایک اور نماز بھی منقول ہے جو ۱۰ رکعت ہے دو دو رکعت کر کے پڑھی جاتی ہے اس کی ہر رکعت میں سورۂ فاتحہ کے بعد ۳ مرتبہ سورۂ اخلاص پڑھے۔ اس نماز کی بھی بہت ساری فضیلتیں ہیں، جن میں سب سے کم تر فضیلت یہ ہے کہ جو شخص یہ نماز بجا لائے اس کے گناہ بخش دیئے جائیں گے، وہ برص، جذام اور نمونیہ سے محفوظ رہے گا، نیز عذابِ قبر اور قیامت کی سختیوں سے بچا رہے گا۔ سیدؒ نے بھی اس دن کے لئے چار رکعت نماز نقل کی ہے۔ لہٰذا وہ نماز ادا کرنے کی خواہش رکھنے والے ان کی کتاب اقبال کی طرف رجوع کریں۔

9. 1st Day Amaal of the Lunar month.

   قمری مہینےکے پہلے دن کے اعمال۔
