سیدؒ نے روایت کی ہے : جو شخص ماہِ رمضان کی ہر رات یہ دعا پڑھے تو اس کے چالیس سال کے گناہ معاف ہوجائیں گے وہ دعا یہ ہے۔۔۔
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismi allaahi ar-rahmaani ar-raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰہُمَّ رَبَّ شَہْرِ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِیْ اَنْزَلْتَ فِیْہِ الْقُرْاٰنَ، وَافْتَرَضْتَ عَلٰی عِبَادِکَ فِیْہِ الصِّیَامَ، صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَارْزُقْنِیْ حَجَّ بَیْتِکَ الْحَرَامِ، فِیْ عَامِیْ ہٰذَا وَفِیْ کُلِّ عَامٍ، وَاغْفِرْ لِیْ تِلْکَ الذُّنُوْبَ الْعِظَامَ، فَاِنَّہٗ لَا یَغْفِرُہَا غَیْرُکَ یَارَحْمٰنُ یَاعَلَّامُ۔
Allaahumma rabba shahri ramadaana allazee anzalta feehi al-qur'aana, waftaradta 'alaa 'ibaadika feehi as-siyaama, salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammadin warzuqnee hajja baytika al-haraami, fee 'aamee haazaa wafee kulli 'aamin, waghfir lee tilka az-zunooba al-'izaama, fa-innahoo laa yaghfiruhaa ghayruka yaa rahmaanu yaa 'allaam.
O Allah, Lord of the month of Ramazan in which Thou revealed the Holy Qur’an, and in it made obligatory “fasting” upon Thy servants, send blessings on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad, and provide me with the means to go to Thy Sacred House for “Hajj” this year and every year; and in this month forgive my grave sins, verily, other than Thee, no one can liberate (me) from its consequences, O Beneficent O Omniscient.
اے اللہ! اے ماہ رمضان کے پروردگار کہ جس میں تو نے قرآن کریم نازل فرمایا اور اپنے بندوں پر اس ماہ میں روزے رکھنا فرض کیے محمدؐ و آل محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما اور مجھے اسی سال اپنے بیت الحرام (کعبہ) کا حج نصیب فرما اور آئندہ سالوں میں بھی اور میرے اب تک کے تمام گناہان کبیرہ معاف کر دے کیوں کہ سوائے تیرے انہیں کوئی معاف نہیں کرسکتا اے زیادہ رحم والے اے زیادہ علم والے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin wa-aali muhammad.
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آلؑ پر۔
You can also recite Ya zallazi kaana.
اس دعا کو بھی پڑھے یَاذَاالَّذِیْ کَانَ
