His Supplication when Afflicted
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰى سِتْرِكَ بَعْدَ عِلْمِكَ وَمُعَافَاتِكَ بَعْدَ خُبْرِكَ فَكُلُّنَا قَدِ اقْتَرَفَ الْعَاۗئِبَةَ فَلَمْ تَشْهَرْهُ وَارْتَكَبَ الْفَاحِشَةَ فَلَمْ تَفْضَحْهُ وَتَسَتَّرَ بِالْمَسَاوِیْ فَلَمْ تَدْلُلْ عَلَيْهِ كَمْ نَهْيٍ لَكَ قَدْ اَتَيْنَاهُ وَاَمْرٍ قَدْ وَقَفْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ فَتَعَدَّيْنَاهُ وَسَيِّئَةٍ اكْتَسَبْنَاهَا وَخَطِيْئَةٍ ارْتَكَبْنَاهَا۔
Allaahumma laka al-hamdu 'alaa sitrika ba'da 'ilmika wamu'aafaatika ba'da khubrika fakullunaa qadi aqtarafa al-'aa'ibata falam tashharhu wartakaba al-faahishata falam tafdahhu watasattara bil-masaawee falam tadlul 'alayhi kam nahyin laka qad ataynaahu waamrin qad waqaftanaa 'alayhi fata'addaynaahu wasayyi'atin aktasabnaahaa wakhatee'atin artakabnaahaa. auto
O God, to Thee belongs praise for Thy covering over after Thy knowledge and Thy pardon after Thy awareness! Each of us has committed faults, but Thou hast not made him notorious, done indecencies, but Thou hast not disgraced him, and covered over evil deeds, but Thou hast not pointed to him. How many are Thy prohibited acts which we have performed, Thy commandments of which Thou hast told us which we have transgressed, the evil deeds which we have earned, the offenses which we have committed! Thou seest them to the exclusion of all observers; Thou hast the power to make them public above all the powerful!
اے معبود! تیرے ہی لئے تمام تعریف ہے اس بات پر کہ تو نے (گناہوں کے)جاننے کے بعد پر دہ پوشی کی اور (حالات پر) اطلاع کے بعد عافیت وسلامتی بخشی۔ یوں تو ہم میں سے ہر ایک ہی عیوب ونقائص کے درپے ہوا مگر تو نے اسے مشتہر نہ کیا اور افعال بد کا مرتکب ہوا مگر تو نے اس کو رسوا نہ ہونے دیا اور پردہ خفا میں برائیوں سے آلودہ رہا۔ مگر تو نے اس کی نشان دہی نہ کی۔ کتنے ہی تیرے منہیات تھے جن کے ہم مرتکب ہوئے، کتنے ہی تیرے احکام تھے جن کے ہم مرتکب ہوئے اور کتنے ہی تیرے احکام تھے جب پر تو نے کار بند رہنے کا حکم دیا تھا۔
كُنْتَ الْمُطَّلِعَ عَلَيْهَا دُوْنَ النَّاظِرِيْنَ وَالْقَادِرَ عَلٰى اِعْلَانِهَا فَوْقَ الْقَادِرِيْنَ كَانَتْ عَافِيَتُكَ لَنَا حِجَابًا دُوْنَ اَبْصَارِهِمْ وَرَدْمًا دُوْنَ اَسْمَاعِهِمْ فَاجْعَلْ مَا سَتَرْتَ مِنَ الْعَوْرَةِ وَاَخْفَيْتَ مِنَ الدَّخِيْلَةِ وَاعِظًا لَنَا وَزَاجِرًا عَنْ سُوْۗءِ الْخُلُقِ وَاقْتِرَافِ الْخَطِيْئَةِ وَسَعْيًا اِلَى التَّوْبَةِ الْمَاحِيَةِ، وَالطَّرِيْقِ الْمَحْمُوْدَةِ۔
Kunta al-muttali'a 'alayhaa doona an-naazireena wal-qaadira 'alaa i'laanihaa fawqa al-qaadireena kaanat 'aafiyatuka lanaa hijaaban doona absaarihim waradman doona asmaa'ihim faj'al maa satarta mina al-'awrati waakhfayta mina ad-dakheelati waa'izan lanaa wazaajiran 'an soo'i al-khuluqi waqtiraafi al-khatee'ati wasa'yan ilaa at-tawbati al-maahiyati, wat-tareeqi al-mahmoodati. auto
By giving us safety Thou hast veiled their eyes and stoppled their ears. So make the shameful things Thou hast covered over and the inward reality Thou hast concealed our admonisher, a restrainer upon bad character traits and committing offenses, and a striving toward the repentance that erases (sins) and the praiseworthy path!
مگر ہم نے ان سے تجاوز کیا۔ اور کتنی ہی برائیاں تھیں جو ہم سے سرزد ہوئیں وہ کتنی ہی خطائیں تھیں جن کا ہم نے ارتکاب کیا درآنحالیکہ دوسرے دیکھنے والوں کے بجائے تو ان پر آگاہ تھا اور دوسرے (گناہوں کی تشہیر پر) قدرت رکھنے والوں سے تو زیادہ ان کے افشاء پر قادر تھا۔ مگر اس کے باوجود ہمارے بارے میں تیری حفاظت ونگہداشت ان کی آنکھوں کے سامنے پردہ، ان کے کانوں کے بالمقابل دیوار بن گئی تو پھر اس پردہ داری وعیب پوشی کو ہمارے لئے ایک نصیحت کرنے والا اوربدخوئی اورارتکاب گناہ سے روکنے والا (گناہوں کو) مٹانے والی راہ توبہ اور طریق پسندیدہ پر گامزنی کا وسیلہ قرار دے۔
وَقَرِّبِ الْوَقْتَ فِيْهِ وَلَا تَسُمْنَا الْغَفْلَةَ عَنْكَ اِنَّا اِلَيْكَ رَاغِبُوْنَ وَمِنَ الذُّنُوْبِ تَاۗئِبُوْنَ وَصَلِّ عَلٰى خِيَرَتِكَ اللَّهُمَّ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعِتْرَتِهِ الصِّفْوَةِ مِنْ بَرِيَّتِكَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ وَاجْعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَامِعِيْنَ وَمُطِيْعِيْنَ كَمَا اَمَرْتَ۔
Waqarribi al-waqta feehi walaa tasumnaa al-ghaflata 'anka innaa ilayka raaghiboona wamina az-zunoobi taa'iboona wasalli 'alaa khiyaratika al-lahumma min khalqika muhammadin wa'itratihi as-sifwati min bariyyatika at-taahireena waj'alnaa lahum saami'eena wamutee'eena kamaa amarta. auto
Bring the time of striving near and visit us not with heedlessness of Thee! Surely we are Thy beseechers, the repenters of sins. And bless Thy chosen, O God, from Thy creation, Muhammad and his descendants, the friends selected from among Thy creatures, the pure, and make us listeners to them and obeyers, as Thou hast commanded!
اور اس راہ پیمانی کے لمحے (ہم سے) قریب کر۔ اور ہمارے لئے ایسے اسباب مہیا نہ کر جو تجھ سے ہمیں غافل کر دیں۔ اس لئے کہ ہم تیری طرف رجوع ہونے والے اور گناہوں سے توبہ کرنے والے ہیں۔ بارالہا! محمد پر جو مخلوقات میں تیرے برگزیدہ اور ان کی پاکیزہ عترت پر جو کائنات میں تیری منتخب کردہ ہے رحمت نازل فرما اور ہمیں اپنے فرمان کے مطابق ان کی بات پر کان دھرنے والا اور ان کے احکام کی تعمیل کرنے والا قرار دے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
