His Supplication in Seeking Pardon and Mercy
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ وَاكْسِرْ شَهْوَتِيْ عَنْ كُلِّ مَحْرَمٍ وَازْوِ حِرْصِيْ عَنْ كُلِّ مَاثَمٍ وَامْنَعْنِيْ عَنْ اَذٰى كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ وَمُسْلِمٍ وَمُسْلِمَةٍ۔ اَللّٰهُمَّ وَايُّمَا عَبْدٍ نَالَ مِنِّيْ مَا حَظَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ وَانْتَهَكَ مِنِّيْ مَا حَجَزْتَ عَلَيْهِ فَمَضٰى بِظُلَامَتِيْ مَيِّتًا اَوْ حَصَلْتَ لِيْ قِبَلَهٗ حَيًّا فَاغْفِرْ لَهٗ مَا اَلَمَّ بِهٖ مِنِّيْ وَاعْفُ لَهٗ عَمَّا ادْبَرَ بِهٖ عَنِّيْ۔
Allaahumma salli 'alaa muhammadin waaalihee waksir shahwatee 'an kulli mahramin wazwi hirsee 'an kulli maathamin wamna'nee 'an azaa kulli mu'minin wamu'minatin wamuslimin wamuslimatin.
Allaahumma waayyumaa 'abdin naala minnee maa hazarta 'alayhi wantahaka minnee maa hajazta 'alayhi famadaa bizulaamatee mayyitan aw hasalta lee qibalahoo hayyan faghfir lahoo maa alamma bihee minnee wa'fu lahoo 'ammaa adbara bihee 'annee. auto
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, break my passion for every unlawful thing, take away my craving for any sin, and bar me from harming any believer, male or female, and any Muslim, male or female! O God, if any of Thy servants should harm me in what Thou hast forbidden or violate me in what Thou hast interdicted, and if he should pass into death with my complaint or I come to have a complaint against him while he is alive, forgive him what he did to me and pardon him that through which he turned his back on me! Inquire not from him about what he committed toward me and expose him not through what he earned by me!
بار الہا! محمد اور ان کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما اور ہر امر حرام سے میری خواہش (کا زور) توڑ دے اور ہر گناہ سے میری حرص کا رخ موڑ دے اور ہر مومن اورمومنہ مسلم اور مسلمہ کی ایذا رسانی سے مجھے باز رکھ۔اے میرے معبود! جو بندہ بھی میرے بارے میں ایسے امر کا مرتکب ہو جسے تو نے اس پر حرام کیا تھا اور میری عزّت پر حملہ آور ہوا جس سے تو نے اسے منع کیا تھا، میرا مظلمہ لے کر دنیا سے اٹھ گیا ہو یا حالت حیات میں اس کے ذمہ باقی ہو تو اس نے مجھ پر ظلم کیا ہے اسے بخش دے اور میرا جو حق لے کر چلا گیا ہے اسے معاف کر دے اور میری نسبت جس امر کا مرتکب ہوا ہے اس پر اسے سرزنش نہ کر اور مجھے آزردہ کرنے کے باعث اسے رسوا نہ فرما۔
وَلَا تَقِفْهُ عَلٰى مَا ارْتَكَبَ فِيَّ وَلَا تَكْشِفْهُ عَمَّا اكْتَسَبَ بِيْ وَاجْعَلْ مَا سَمَحْتُ بِهٖ مِنَ الْعَفْوِ عَنْهُمْ وَتَبَرَّعْتُ بِهٖ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ اَزْكٰى صَدَقَاتِ الْمُتَصَدِّقِيْنَ وَاَعْلٰى صِلَاتِ الْمُتَقَرِّبِيْنَ وَعَوِّضْنِيْ مِنْ عَفْوِيْ عَنْهُمْ عَفْوَكَ وَمِنْ دُعَاۗئِيْ لَهُمْ رَحْمَتَكَ حَتّٰى يَسْعَدَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنَّا بِفَضْلِكَ وَيَنْجُوَ كُلٌّ مِنَّا بِمَنِّكَ۔
Walaa taqifhu 'alaa maa artakaba fiyya walaa takshifhu 'ammaa aktasaba bee waj'al maa samahtu bihee mina al-'afwi 'anhum watabarra'tu bihee mina as-sadaqati 'alayhim azkaa sadaqaati al-mutasaddiqeena waa'laa silaati al-mutaqarribeena wa'awwidnee min 'afwee 'anhum 'afwaka wamin du'aa'ee lahum rahmataka hattaa yas'ada kullu waahidin minnaa bifadlika wayanjuwa kullun minnaa bimannika. auto
Make my open handedness in pardoning such servants and my contribution in charity toward them the purest charity of the charitable and the highest gift of those seeking nearness to Thee! Recompense me for my pardoning them with Thy pardon and for my supplicating for them with Thy mercy so that each one of us may gain felicity through Thy bounty and each may attain deliverance through Thy kindness!
اورجس عفو ودرگزر کی میں نے ان کے لئے کش کی ہے اور جس کرم وبخشش کو میں نے ان کے لئے روا رکھا ہے اسے صدقہ کرنے والوں کے صدقہ سے پاکیزہ تر اور تقرب چاہنے والوں کے عطیوں سے بلند تر قرار دے اور اس عفو ودرگزر کے عوض تو مجھ سے درگزر کر اور ان کے لئے دعا کرنے کے صلہ میں مجھے اپنی رحمت سے سرفراز فرما تاکہ ہم میں سے ہر ایک تیرے فضل وکرم کی بدولت خوش نصیب ہو سکے اور تیرے لطف واحسان کی وجہ سے نجات پا جائے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَاَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مِنْ عَبِيْدِكَ اَدْرَكَهٗ مِنِّيْ دَرَكٌ اَوْ مَسَّهٗ مِنْ نَاحِيَتِيْ اَذْىً اَوْ لَحِقَهُ بِيْ اَوْ بِسَبَبِيْ ظُلْمٌ فَفُتُّهُ بِحَقِّهٖ اَوْ سَبَقْتُهٗ بِمَظْلِمَتِهٖ فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ وَاَرْضِهٖ عَنِّيْ مِنْ وُجْدِكَ وَاَوْفِهٖ حَقَّهُ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ۔
Allaahumma waayyumaa 'abdin min 'abeedika adrakahoo minnee darakun aw massahoo min naahiyatee azyan aw lahiqahu bee aw bisababee zulmun fafuttuhu bihaqqihee aw sabaqtuhoo bimazlimatihee fasalli 'alaa muhammadin waaalihee waardihee 'annee min wujdika waawfihee haqqahu min 'indika. auto
O God, if there is a servant from among Thy servants whom an ill visits on my account, a harm touches from my direction, or a wrong overtakes through me or because of me, and should I fail to take care of his right or go before him (in death) with his complaint, bless Muhammad and his Household, satisfy him toward me through Thy wealth, and give him his full right from Thyself!
اے اللہ! تیرے بندوں میں سے جس کسی کو مجھ سے کوئی ضرر پہنچا ہو یا میری جانب سے کوئی اذیت پہنچتی ہو یا مجھ سے یا میر ی وجہ سے اس پر ظلم ہوا ہو اس طرح کہ میں نے اس کے کسی حق کو ضائع کیا ہو یا اس کے کسی مظلمہ کی داد خواہی نہ کی ہو۔ تو محمد اور ان کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما اور اپنی غنا و تونگری کے ذریعہ اسے مجھ سے راضی کر دے اور اپنے پاس سے اس کا حق بے کم وکاست ادا کر دے۔
ثُمَّ قِنِيْ مَا يُوْجِبُ لَهٗ حُكْمُكَ وَخَلِّصْنِيْ مِمَّا يَحْكُمُ بِهٖ عَدْلُكَ فَاِنَّ قُوَّتِيْ لَا تَسْتَقِلُّ بِنَقِمَتِكَ وَاِنَّ طَاقَتِيْ لَا تَنْهَضُ بِسُخْطِكَ فَاِنَّكَ اِنْ تُكَافِنِيْ بِالْحَقِّ تُهْلِكْنِيْ وَاِلَّا تَغَمَّدْنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ تُوْبِقْنِيْ۔
Thumma qinee maa yoojibu lahoo hukmuka wakhallisnee mimmaa yahkumu bihee 'adluka fainna quwwatee laa tastaqillu binaqimatika wainna taaqatee laa tanhadu bisukhtika fainnaka in tukaafinee bil-haqqi tuhliknee waillaa taghammadnee birahmatika toobiqnee. auto
Then protect me from what Thy decision mandates and save me from what Thy justice decides, for my strength cannot bear Thy vengeance and my power cannot stand up to Thy displeasure! If Thou recompensest me with the right, Thou wilt destroy me, and if Thou dost not shield me in Thy mercy, Thou wilt lay me waste.
پھر یہ کہ اس چیز سے جس کا تیرے حکم کے تحت سزاوار ہوں، بچا لے اور جو تیرے عدل کا تقاضا ہے اس سے نجات دے۔ اس لئے کہ مجھے تیرے عذاب کے برداشت کرنے کی تاب نہیں اورتیری ناراضگی کے جھیل لے جانے کی ہمت نہیں۔ لہذا اگر تو مجھے حق وانصاف کی رو سے بدلہ دےگا۔ تو مجھے ہلاک کر دے گا اور اگر دامن رحمت میں نہیں ڈھانپے گا تو مجھے تباہ کردے گا۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْتَوْهِبُكَ يَا اِلٰهِيْ مَا لَا يُنْقِصُكَ بَذْلُهٗ وَاَسْتَحْمِلُكَ مَا لَا يَبْهَظُكَ حَمْلُهٗ اَسْتَوْهِبُكَ يَا اِلٰهِيْ نَفْسِيَ الَّتِيْ لَمْ تَخْلُقْهَا لِتَمْتَنِعَ بِهَا مِنْ سُوْۗءٍ اَوْ لِتَطَرَّقَ بِهَا اِلٰى نَفْعٍ وَلَكِنْ اَنْشَاتَهَا اِثْبَاتًا لِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلٰى مِثْلِهَا وَاحْتِجَاجًا بِهَا عَلٰى شَكْلِهَا۔
Allaahumma innee astawhibuka yaa allaahee maa laa yunqisuka bazluhoo waastahmiluka maa laa yabhazuka hamluhoo astawhibuka yaa allaahee nafsiya allatee lam takhluqhaa litamtani'a bihaa min soo'in aw litatarraqa bihaa ilaa naf'in walakin anshaatahaa ithbaatan liqudratika 'alaa mithlihaa wahtijaajan bihaa 'alaa shaklihaa. auto
O God, I ask Thee to grant, my God, that whose giving will not decrease Thee, and I ask Thee to carry that whose carrying will not weigh Thee down: My God, I ask Thee to give my soul, which Thou didst not create to keep Thyself from evil nor to find the way to profit. No, Thou brought it forth to demonstrate Thy power over its like and to provide an argument against its similar.
اے اللہ! اے میرے معبود! میں تجھ سے اس چیز کا طالب ہوں جس کے عطا کرنے سے تیرے ہاں کچھ کمی نہیں ہوتی اور وہ بارتجھ پر رکھنا چاہتا ہوں جو تجھے گرانبار نہیں بناتا۔ اور تجھ سے اس جان کی بھیک مانگتا ہوں جسے تو نے اس لئے پیدا نہیں کیا کہ اس کے ذریعہ ضرر و زیاں سے تحفظ کرے یا منفعت کی راہ نکالے بلکہ اس لئے پیدا کیا تاکہ اس امر کا ثبوت بہم پہنچائے اور اس بات پر دلیل لائے کہ تو اس جیسی اور اس طرح کی مخلوق پیدا کرنے پر قادر وتوانا ہے۔
وَاَسْتَحْمِلُكَ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِيْ مَا قَدْ بَهَظَنِيْ حَمْلُهٗ وَاَسْتَعِيْنُ بِكَ عَلٰى مَا قَدْ فَدَحَنِيْ ثِقْلُهٗ فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ وَهَبْ لِنَفْسِيْ عَلٰى ظُلْمِهَا نَفْسِيْ وَوَكِّلْ رَحْمَتَكَ بِاحْتِمَالِ اِصْرِيْ فَكَمْ قَدْ لَحِقَتْ رَحْمَتُكَ بِالْمُسِيْئِيْنَ وَكَمْ قَدْ شَمِلَ عَفْوُكَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ۔
Waastahmiluka min zunoobee maa qad bahazanee hamluhoo waasta'eenu bika 'alaa maa qad fadahanee thiqluhoo fasalli 'alaa muhammadin waaalihee wahab linafsee 'alaa zulmihaa nafsee wawakkil rahmataka bihtimaali isree fakam qad lahiqat rahmatuka bil-musee'eena wakam qad shamila 'afwuka az-zaalimeena. auto
I ask Thee to carry those of my sins whose carrying weighs me down and I seek help from Thee in that whose heaviness oppresses me. So bless Muhammad and his Household, give to me my soul in spite of its wrongdoing, and appoint Thy mercy to carry my burden! How many evildoers Thy mercy has overtaken! How many wrongdoers Thy pardon has embraced!
اورتجھ سے اس امر کا خواستگار ہوں کہ مجھے ان گناہوں سے سبکبار کر دے جن کا بار مجھے ہلکان کیے ہوئے ہے اور تجھ سے مدد مانگتا ہوں اس چیز کی نسبت جس کی گرانباری نے مجھے عاجز کر دیا یے تو محمد اوران کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما اور میرے نفس کو باوجودیکہ اس نے خود اپنے اوپر ظلم کیا ہے بخش دے اورا پنی رحمت جو میرے گناہوں کا بارگراں اٹھانے پر مامور کر اس لئے کہ کتنی ہی مرتبہ تیری رحمت گنہگاروں کے ہمکنار اورتیرا عفو ووکرم ظالموں کے شامل حال رہا ہے۔
فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِهٖ وَاجْعَلْنِيْ اُسْوَةَ مَنْ قَدْ اَنْهَضْتَهُ بِتَجَاوُزِكَ عَنْ مَصَارِعِ الْخَاطِئِيْنَ وَخَلَّصْتَهٗ بِتَوْفِيْقِكَ مِنْ وَرَطَاتِ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ فَاَصْبَحَ طَلِيْقَ عَفْوِكَ مِنْ اِسَارِ سُخْطِكَ وَعَتِيْقَ صُنْعِكَ مِنْ وَثَاقِ عَدْلِكَ۔
Fasalli 'alaa muhammadin waaalihee waj'alnee uswata man qad anhadtahu bitajaawuzika 'an masaari'i al-khaati'eena wakhallastahoo bitawfeeqika min warataati al-mujrimeena faasbaha taleeqa 'afwika min isaari sukhtika wa'ateeqa sun'ika min wathaaqi 'adlika. auto
So bless Muhammad and his Household and make me the model of him whom Thou hast aroused through Thy forbearance from the deadly infirmities of the Senders and saved through Thy giving success from the tangled plights of the sinners, so that I may rise up freed by Thy pardon from the bonds of Thy displeasure and released by Thy benefaction from the ties of Thy justice!
تو محمد اور ان کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما اور مجھے ان لوگوں کے لئے نمونہ بنا جنہیں تو نے اپنے عفو کے ذریعہ خطا کاروں کے گرنے کے مقامات سے اوپر اٹھا لیا اور جنہیں تو نے اپنی توفیق سے گنہگاروں کے مہلکوں سے بچا لیا۔ تو وہ تیرے عفو وبخش کے وسیلہ سے تیری ناراضگی سے بندھنوں سے چھوٹ گئے اور تیرے احسان کی بدولت عدل کی بندشوں سے آزاد ہو گئے۔ اے میرے اللہ! اگر تو مجھے معاف کر دے تو تیرا یہ سلوک اس کے ساتھ ہو گا جو سزاوار عقوبت ہونے سے انکاری نہیں ہے اور نہ مستحق سزا ہونے سے اپنے کو بری سمجھتا ہے یہ تیرا برتاؤ اس کے ساتھ ہوگا۔
اِنَّكَ اِنْ تَفْعَلْ ذٰلِكَ يَا اِلٰهِيْ تَفْعَلْهُ بِمَنْ لَا يَجْحَدُ اسْتِحْقَاقَ عُقُوْبَتِكَ وَلَا يُبَرِّئُ نَفْسَهٗ مِنِ اسْتِيْجَابِ نَقِمَتِكَ تَفْعَلْ ذٰلِكَ يَا اِلٰهِيْ بِمَنْ خَوْفُهٗ مِنْكَ اَكْثَرُ مِنْ طَمَعِهٖ فِيْكَ وَبِمَنْ يَاسُهٗ مِنَ النَّجَاةِ اَوْكَدُ مِنْ رَجَاۗئِهٖ لِلْخَلَاصِ لَا اَنْ يَكُوْنَ يَاسُهٗ قُنُوْطًا اَوْ اَنْ يَكُوْنَ طَمَعُهُ اغْتِرَارًا بَلْ لِقِلَّةِ حَسَنَاتِهٖ بَيْنَ سَيِّئَاتِهٖ وَضَعْفِ حُجَجِهٖ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ تَبِعَاتِهٖ۔
Innaka in taf'al zaalika yaa allaahee taf'alhu biman laa yajhadu astihqaaqa 'uqoobatika walaa yubarri'u nafsahoo mini asteejaabi naqimatika taf'al zaalika yaa allaahee biman khawfuhoo minka aktharu min tama'ihee feeka wabiman yaasuhoo mina an-najaati awkadu min rajaa'ihee lil-khalaasi laa an yakoona yaasuhoo qunootan aw an yakoona tama'uhu aghtiraaran bal liqillati hasanaatihee bayna sayyi'aatihee wada'fi hujajihee fee jamee'i tabi'aatihee. auto
Surely if Thou dost that, my God, Thou wilt do it to one who does not deny deserving Thy punishment or acquit himself from merit for Thy vengeance. Do that, my God, for one whose fear of Thee is greater than his craving from Thee, whose hopelessness of deliverance is firmer than his hope for salvation! Not that his hopelessness is despair, nor that his expectation is deluded. No, rather his good deeds are few among his evil deeds and his arguments are frail in face of everything due from his acts.
اے میرے معبود! جس کا خوف امید عفو سے بڑھا ہوا ہے اورجس کی نجات سے ناامیدی، رہائی کی توقع سے قوی تر ہے۔ یہ اس لئے نہیں کہ اس کی نا امیدی رحمت سے مایوسی ہو یا یہ کہ اس کی امید فریب خوردگی کا نتیجہ ہو بلکہ اس لئے کہ اس کی برائیاں نیکیوں کے مقابلہ میں کم اور گناہوں کے تمام موارد میں عذر خواہی کے وجوہ کمزور ہیں۔
فَاَمَّا اَنْتَ يَا اِلٰهِيْ فَاَهْلٌ اَنْ لَا يَغْتَرَّ بِكَ الصِّدِّيْقُوْنَ وَلَا يَيْاَسَ مِنْكَ الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ لِاَنَّكَ الرَّبُّ الْعَظِيْمُ الَّذِيْ لَا يَمْنَعُ اَحَدًا فَضْلَهٗ وَلَا يَسْتَقْصِيْ مِنْ اَحَدٍ حَقَّهٗ تَعَالٰى ذِكْرُكَ عَنِ الْمَذْكُوْرِيْنَ وَتَقَدَّسَتْ اَسْمَاۗؤُكَ عَنِ الْمَنْسُوْبِيْنَ وَفَشَتْ نِعْمَتُكَ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ الْمَخْلُوْقِيْنَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ۔
Faammaa anta yaa allaahee faahlun an laa yaghtarra bika as-siddeeqoona walaa yayasa minka al-mujrimoona liannaka ar-rabbu al-'azeemu allazee laa yamna'u ahadan fadlahoo walaa yastaqsee min ahadin haqqahoo ta'aalaa zikruka 'ani al-mazkooreena wataqaddasat asmaa'uka 'ani al-mansoobeena wafashat ni'matuka fee jamee'i al-makhlooqeena falaka al-hamdu 'alaa zaalika yaa rabba al-'aalameena. auto
But Thou, my God, art worthy that the righteous not be deluded concerning Thee and the sinners not loose hope in Thee, for Thou art the All-mighty Lord who holds back His bounty from none and takes His full right from no one. High exalted is Thy mention above those mentioned! Holy are Thy names beyond those described! Spread is Thy favour among all creatures! Thine is the praise for that, O Lord of the worlds!
لیکن اے میرے معبود تو اس کا سزا وار ہے کہ راستباز لوگ بھی تیری رحمت پر مغرور ہو کر فریب نہ کھائیں اورگنہگار بھی تجھ سے نا امید نہ ہوں اس لئے کہ تو وہ رب عظیم ہے کہ کسی پر فضل واحسان سے دریغ نہیں کرتا اور کسی سے اپنا حق پورا پورا وصول کرنے کے درپے نہیں ہوتا۔ تیرا ذکر تمام نام آوروں (کے ذکر) سے بلند تر ہے اور تیرے اسماء اس سے کہ دوسرے حسب ونسب والے ان سے موسوم ہوں منزہ ہیں۔ تیری نعمتیں تمام کائنات میں پھیلی ہوئی ہیں لہذا اس سلسلہ میں تیرے ہی لئے حمد وستائش ہے اے تمام جہان کے پروردگار۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
