Soon after a person dies, it is recommended to close his lips, eyes, and mouth, and his chin with the head should be tied with the cloth so that the mouth remains closed, and also to straighten his hands and legs, and to cover his body with a piece of cloth. If someone dies at night, (it is recommended) to keep the place where he died lighted, to inform the believers about the funeral, and to hasten in burying his body. However, if his death is not certain, people must wait until it is certain. Furthermore, if the deceased is a pregnant woman and the child in her womb is alive, the burial must be delayed so that the woman’s stomach can be cut open, the baby is removed, and then the woman’s stomach to be stitched up.
مستحب ہے کہ مرنے کے بعد میت کی آنکھیں اور ہونٹ بند کردیئے جائیں اور اس کی ٹھوڑی کو باندھ دیا جائے نیز اس کے ہاتھ اور پاوں سیدھے کر دئے جائیں اور اس کے اوپر کپڑا ڈال دیا جائے، اور اگر موت رات کو واقع ہو تو جہاں موت واقع ہوئی ہو وہاں چراغ جلائیں (روشنی کردیں) اور جنازے میں شرکت کے لئے مومنین کو اطلاع دیں اور میت کو دفن کرنے میں جلدی کریں لیکن اگر اس شخص کے مرنے کا یقین نہ ہو تو انتظار کریں تا کہ صورت حال واضح ہو جائے۔ علاوہ ازیں اگر میت حاملہ ہو اور بچہ اس کے پیٹ میں زندہ ہو تو ضروری ہے کہ دفن کرنے میں اتنا توقف کریں کہ اس کا پہلو چاک کر کے بچہ باہر نکال لیں اور پھر اس پہلو کو سی دیں۔
