Aey Toos K Wa'ali اے طوس کے والی
written and recited by Mir Hasan Mir · for Wiladat of Imam al-Rida (a)
About this manqabat
A manqabat addressed to Imam Raza (a), guardian of Tus, called the sun of suns, from whose light the two worlds draw their light. Pilgrims who never reached the Kaaba come to his shrine and are given the reward of Hajj, and those who plead by his grandmother never go back empty. On every eleventh of Ziqaad the poet and his fellows ask Masooma (a) for alms in Imam Raza's name, and she gives them an Eid gift. Deniers the poet answers by bidding them recite the salawat on Raza. For the sake of the milkless child he asks for mourning sons for mothers whose laps are still empty, and he declares that the offspring he has raised on the Imam's provision will stay in the care of the lords of Khurasan and under his protection, like the deer. Written and recited by Mir Hasan Mir; published with his permission.

The manqabat
Stanza 1
You yourself are Ali too.
Your court too is sublime.
O guardian of Tus,
The lattice of your shrine is the hem of destiny.
O guardian of Tus,
Stanza 2
In my ears, without pause, is your voice of generosity.
When you are with me, what is there to grieve about?
Your devotee does not take the intoxication of the world.
Stanza 3
The lights of the two worlds are by the charity of your light.
For this they call you the sun of suns, Maula.
You have filled this platter of the sun with light.
Stanza 4
You showed the city of Paradise to your lovers.
They did not go to the Kaaba, yet you made them pilgrims.
They came to your shrine, but took the reward of the Hajj.
Stanza 5
The effect of the naubat cannot leave my heart.
Bad times can never come upon me.
I have set the clock of my breaths by the Courtyard of Healing.
Stanza 6
This happens on every eleventh of Ziqaad, Maula.
From Masooma (a) we ask for alms in your name.
Then Masooma (a) gives us a wonderful Eid gift.
Stanza 7
Whenever a denier of yours comes to me,
I say to him: "Recite the salawat on Raza."
In this way I take exemplary requital from your denier.
Stanza 8
What do I want — God is asking this.
Raza himself, the writer of destiny, is asking.
At this moment the lattice of the shrine is in my hands.
Stanza 9
O fifth Shabbir (a), you are a ransom for the milkless child;
Give into mothers' arms a son who mourns,
Those whose laps are till today empty of children.
Stanza 10
They will remain in the care of the lords of Khurasan,
Like the deer, they will remain under your protection,
The offspring I have raised on your provision.
Stanza 11
When the pilgrims plead by your grandmother,
The pilgrims fill their skirts with your charity.
They come empty; they do not go back empty.
Stanza 12
This is the faith of your Mir Hasan, O Master.
If you say the word, even he would bring the dead to life at once.
This is his belief, it is not a vain fancy.
