Arbaab Raza Mola ارباب رضا مولا
written and recited by Mir Hasan Mir · for Wiladat of Imam al-Rida (a)
About this manqabat
The manqabat praises Imam Raza (a), Sultan of the Arabs and King of Khurasan, who makes changes on the Tablet with the pen, whose generosity the world knows and whose honour even Allah upholds. Visiting his shrine carries the wondrous savour of the hajj: its sabeel is Zamzam, its courtyard of healing Mina, his shrine the Kaaba of faith and its floor the throne of Solomon. He is the eighth governor of the order of the two worlds, who distributes sustenance on the Provider's behalf, and the poet's life is in his control. It asks that no believer be left in distress and only his enemy troubled, that those who seek children or healing be granted their wish for the sake of Masooma of Qom (a), and that the poet, like Di'bil, be called to praise him. Written and recited by Mir Hasan Mir; published with his permission.

The manqabat
Stanza 1
Master, Maula Imam Raza (a)
Master, Master, Master, Maula Imam Raza (a)
Sultan of the Arabs, King of Khurasan. Master, Maula Imam Raza (a)
The naubat drum is the proclamation of your kingship
Stanza 2
You make changes on the Tablet with the pen
The world knows the manner of your generosity
Even Allah upholds your honour
Stanza 3
In visiting the shrine there is a wondrous pleasure of the hajj
Zamzam is the sabeel and Mina is the courtyard of healing
Your shrine is the Kaaba of faith
Stanza 4
This carries me into another atmosphere
While I am in the courtyard, I fly in the air
Your floor is the throne of Solomon
Stanza 5
Your favours are upon every one in the two worlds
By the Quran, the pearls and the corals are yours
The bounty is that of your Sura Rahman
Stanza 6
Even should he come to Najaf, he will still remain at a loss
At the shrine of Shabbir (a) he will find nothing
Who knowingly remains a stranger to you (a)
Stanza 7
By God, Mashhad is a fragment of the highest throne
The sweeper of the floor of your sanctuary is the Trusted Spirit
Human reason is bewildered by your bounty
Stanza 8
It is you, on the Provider's behalf, who divides the sustenance
You are the eighth governor of the order of the two worlds
The Shias are nurtured on your sustenance
Stanza 9
If you are awake, then I sleep in peace
Your servant knows your "Be, and it is"
My life is in your control
Stanza 10
This alone is my request in the court of the King of the Age (a)
May no believer remain distressed in the world
Only your (a) enemy should be distressed
Stanza 11
Some seek a child, some seek healing
Grant to them for the sake of Masooma of Qom (a)
Bestow your favour on all of them too
Stanza 12
As you would call Di'bil to praise you
My request is that you call me too, some time, like that
This is the longing of Mir Hasan Mir
