Surah Ankaboot (29, 69 ayat)سورہ ٔعنکبوت

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

Alif Lam Mim.

الم

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, We believe, and not be tried?

کیا لوگوں نے یہ خیال کر رکھا ہے کہ وہ صرف اس بات پر چھوڑ دیئے جائیں گے کہ وہ یہ کہہ دیں کہ ہم ایمان لے آئے ہیں اور ان کا امتحان نہیں ہو گا۔

And certainly We tried those before them, so Allah will certainly know those who are true and He will certainly know the liars.

بےشک ہم نے ان سے پہلے والوں کا بھی امتحان لیا ہے اور اللہ تو بہرحال یہ جاننا چاہتا ہے کہ ان میں کون لوگ سچے ہیں اور کون جھوٹے ہیں۔

Or do they who work evil think that they will escape Us? Evil is it that they judge!

کیا برائی کرنے والوں کا خیال یہ ہے کہ ہم سے آگے نکل جائیں گے یہ بہت غلط فیصلہ کر رہے ہیں۔

Whoever hopes to meet Allah, the term appointed by Allah will then most surely come; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

جو بھی اللہ کی ملاقات کی امید رکھتا ہے اسے معلوم رہے کہ وہ مدّت یقینًا آنے والی ہے اور وہ خدا سمیع بھی ہے اور علیم بھی ہے۔

And whoever strives hard, he strives only for his own soul; most surely Allah is Self-sufficient, above (need of) the worlds.

اور جس نے بھی جہاد کیا ہے اس نے اپنے لئے جہاد کیا ہے اور اللہ تو سارے عالمین سے بے نیاز ہے۔

And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will most certainly do away with their evil deeds and We will most certainly reward them the best of what they did.

اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے ہم یقینًا ان کے گناہوں کی پردہ پوشی کریں گے اور انہیں ان کے اعمال کی بہترین جزا عطا کریں گے۔

And We have enjoined on man goodness to his parents, and if they contend with you that you should associate (others) with Me, of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, to Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you did.

اور ہم نے انسان کو ماں باپ کے ساتھ نیک برتاؤ کرنے کی نصیحت کی ہے اور بتایا ہے کہ اگر وہ کسی ایسی شے کو میرا شریک بنانے پر مجبور کریں جس کا تمہیں علم نہیں ہے تو خبردار ان کی اطاعت نہ کرنا کہ تم سب کی بازگشت میری ہی طرف ہے پھر میں بتاؤں گا کہ تم لوگ کیا کر رہے تھے۔

And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will most surely cause them to enter among the good.

اور جن لوگوں نے ایمان اختیار کیا اور نیک اعمال کئے ہم یقینًا انہیں نیک بندوں میں شامل کر لیں گے۔

And among men is he who says: We believe in Allah; but when he is persecuted in (the way of) Allah he thinks the persecution of men to be as the chastisement of Allah; and if there come assistance from your Lord, they would most certainly say: Surely we were with you. What! is not Allah the best knower of what is in the breasts of mankind.

اور بعض لوگ ایسے ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ پر ایمان لے آئے اس کے بعد جب راہِ خدا میں کوئی تکلیف ہوئی تو لوگوں کے فتنہ کو عذابِ خدا جیسا قرار دے دیا حالانکہ آپ کے پروردگار کی طرف سے کوئی مدد آجاتی تو فورًا کہہ دیتے کہ ہم تو آپ ہی کے ساتھ تھے تو کیا خدا ان باتوں سے باخبر نہیں ہے جو عالمین کے دلوں میں ہیں۔

And most certainly Allah will know those who believe and most certainly He will know the hypocrites.

اور وہ یقینًا انہیں بھی جاننا چاہتا ہے جو صاحبانِ ایمان ہیں اور انہیں بھی جاننا چاہتا ہے جو منافق ہیں۔

And those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Follow our path and we will bear your wrongs. And never shall they be the bearers of any of their wrongs; most surely they are liars.

اور یہ کفّار ایمان لانے والوں سے کہتے ہیں کہ تم ہمارے راستہ کا اتباع کر لو ہم تمہارے گناہوں کے ذمہ دار ہیں حالانکہ وہ کسی کے گناہوں کا بوجھ اٹھانے والے نہیں ہیں اور سراسر جھوٹے ہیں۔

And most certainly they shall carry their own burdens, and other burdens with their own burdens, and most certainly they shall be questioned on the resurrection day as to what they forged.

اور انہیں ایک دن اپنا بوجھ بھی اٹھانا ہی پڑے گا اور اس کے ساتھ ان لوگوں کا بھی اور روزِ قیامت ان سے ان باتوں کے بارے میں سوال بھی کیا جائے گا جن کا یہ افترا کیا کرتے تھے۔

And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years. And the deluge overtook them, while they were unjust.

اور ہم نے نوحؑ کو ان کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا اور وہ ان کے درمیان پچاس سال کم ایک ہزار (۹۵۰) سال رہے پھر قوم کو طوفان نے اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا کہ وہ لوگ ظالم تھے۔

So We delivered him and the inmates of the ark, and made it a sign to the nations.

پھر ہم نے نوحؑ کو اور ان کے ساتھ کشتی والوں کو نجات دے دی اور اسے عالمین کے لئے ایک نشانی قرار دے دیا۔

And (We sent) Ibrahim, when he said to his people: Serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him; this is best for you, if you did but know:

اور ابراہیمؑ کو یاد کرو جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور اس سے ڈرو کہ اسی میں تمہارے لئے بہتری ہے اگر تم کچھ جانتے ہو۔

You only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie; surely they whom you serve besides Allah do not control for you any sustenance, therefore seek the sustenance from Allah and serve Him and be grateful to Him; to Him you shall be brought back.

تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر صرف بتوں کی پرستش کرتے ہو اور اپنے پاس سے جھوٹ گڑھتے ہو یاد رکھو کہ خدا کے علاوہ جن کی بھی پرستش کرتے ہو وہ تمہارے رزق کے مالک نہیں ہیں رزق خدا کے پاس تلاش کرو اور اسی کی عبادت کرو اسی کا شکریہ ادا کرو کہ تم سب اسی کی بارگاہ میں واپس لے جائے جاؤ گے۔

And if you reject (the truth), nations before you did indeed reject (the truth); and nothing is incumbent on the apostle but a plain delivering (of the message).

اور اگر تم تکذیب کرو (جھٹلاؤ) گے تو تم سے پہلے بہت سی قومیں یہ کام کر چکی ہیں اور رسول کی ذمہ داری تو صرف واضح طور پر پیغام کا پہنچا دینا ہے۔

What! do they not consider how Allah originates the creation, then reproduces it? Surely that is easy to Allah.

کیا ان لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ خدا کس طرح مخلوقات کو ایجاد کرتا ہے اور پھر دوبارہ واپس لے جاتا ہے یہ سب اللہ کے لئے بہت آسان ہے۔

Say: Travel in the earth and see how He makes the first creation, then Allah creates the latter creation; surely Allah has power over all things.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم لوگ زمین میں سیر کرو اور دیکھو کہ خدا نے کس طرح خلقت کا آغاز کیا ہے اس کے بعد وہی آخرت میں دوبارہ ایجاد کرے گا بےشک وہی ہر شے پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے۔

He punishes whom He pleases and has mercy on whom He pleases, and to Him you shall be turned back.

وہ جس پر چاہتا ہے عذاب کرتا ہے اور جس پر چاہتا ہے رحم کرتا ہے اور تم سب اسی کی طرف پلٹائے جاؤ گے۔

And you shall not escape in the earth nor in the heaven, and you have neither a protector nor a helper besides Allah.

اور تم زمین یا آسمان میں اسے عاجز کر سکنے والے نہیں ہو اور اس کے علاوہ تمہارا کوئی سرپرست یا مدد گار بھی نہیں ہے۔

And (as to) those who disbelieve in the communications of Allah and His meeting, they have despaired of My mercy, and these it is that shall have a painful punishment.

اور جو لوگ خدا کی نشانیوں اور اس کی ملاقات کا انکار کرتے ہیں وہ میری رحمت سے مایوس ہیں اور ان کے لئے درد ناک عذاب ہے۔

So naught was the answer of his people except that they said: Slay him or burn him; then Allah delivered him from the fire; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe.

تو ان کی قوم کا جواب اس کے علاوہ کچھ نہ تھا کہ انہیں قتل کر دو یا آگ میں جلا دو، تو پروردگار نے انہیں اس آگ سے نجات دلا دی بےشک اس میں بھی صاحبانِ ایمان کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں۔

And he said: You have only taken for yourselves idols besides Allah by way of friendship between you in this world’s life, then on the resurrection day some of you shall deny others, and some of you shall curse others, and your abode is the fire, and you shall not have any helpers.

اور ابراہیمؑ نے کہا کہ تم نے صرف زندگانی دنیا کی محبتوں کو برقرار رکھنے کے لئے خدا کو چھوڑ کر بتوں کو اختیار کر لیا ہے اس کے بعد روزِ قیامت تم میں سے ہر ایک دوسرے کا انکار کرے گا اور ایک دوسرے پر لعنت کرے گا جب کہ تم سب کا انجام جہنّم ہو گا اور تمہارا کوئی مدد گار نہ ہو گا۔

And Lut believed in Him, and he said: I am fleeing to my Lord, surely He is the Mighty, the Wise.

پھر لوطؑ ابراہیمؑ پر ایمان لے آئے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ میں اپنے رب کی طرف ہجرت کر رہا ہوں کہ وہی صاحبِ عزّت اور صاحب حکمت ہے۔

And We granted him Ishaq and Yaqoub, and caused the prophethood and the book to remain in his seed, and We gave him his reward in this world, and in the hereafter he will most surely be among the good.

اور ہم نے انہیں اسحاقؑ اور یعقوبؑ جیسی اولاد عطا کی اور پھر ان کی ذریت میں کتاب اور نبوت قرار دی اور انہیں دنیا میں بھی ان کا اجر عطا کیا اور آخرت میں بھی ان کا شمار نیک کردار لوگوں میں ہو گا۔

And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: Most surely you are guilty of an indecency which none of the nations has ever done before you;

اور پھر لوطؑ کو یاد کرو جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ تم لوگ ایسی بدکاری کر رہے ہو جو سارے عالم میں تم سے پہلے کبھی کسی نے بھی نہیں کی ہے۔

What! do you come to the males and commit robbery on the highway, and you commit evil deeds in your assemblies? But nothing was the answer of his people except that they said: Bring on us Allah’s punishment, if you are one of the truthful.

تم لوگ مردوں سے جنسی تعلّقات پیدا کر رہے ہو اور راستے قطع کر رہے ہو اور اپنی محفلوں میں برائیوں کو انجام دے رہے ہو، تو ان کی قوم کے پاس اس کے علاوہ کوئی جواب نہ تھا کہ اگر تم صادقین میں سے ہو تو وہ عذابِ الٰہی لے آؤ جس کی خبر دے رہے ہو۔

He said: My Lord! help me against the mischievous people.

تو لوطؑ نے کہا پروردگار تو اس فساد پھیلانے والی قوم کے مقابلہ میں میری مدد فرما۔

And when Our messengers came to Ibrahim with the good news, they said: Surely we are going to destroy the people of this town, for its people are unjust.

اور جب ہمارے نمائندہ فرشتے ابراہیمؑ کے پاس بشارت لے کر آئے اور انہوں نے یہ خبر سنائی کہ ہم اس بستی والوں کو ہلاک کرنا چاہتے ہیں کہ اس بستی کے لوگ بڑے ظالم ہیں۔

He said: Surely in it is Lut. They said: We know well who is in it; we shall certainly deliver him and his followers, except his wife; she shall be of those who remain behind.

تو ابراہیمؑ نے کہا کہ اس میں تو لوط بھی ہیں، انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ ہم سب سے باخبر ہیں، ہم انہیں اور ان کے گھر والوں کو نجات دے دیں گے علاوہ ان کی زوجہ کے کہ وہ پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں ہے۔

And when Our messengers came to Lut he was grieved on account of them, and he felt powerless (to protect) them; and they said: Fear not, nor grieve; surely we will deliver you and your followers, except your wife; she shall be of those who remain behind.

پھر جب ہمارے فرشتے لوط کے پاس آئے تو وہ پریشان ہو گئے اور ان کی مہمانی کی طرف سے دل تنگ ہونے لگے ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ آپ ڈریں نہیں اور پریشان نہ ہوں ہم آپ کو اور آپ کے گھر والوں کو بچا لیں گے صرف آپ کی زوجہ کو نہیں کہ وہ پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں ہو گئی ہے۔

Surely We will cause to come down upon the people of this town a punishment from heaven, because they transgressed.

ہم اس بستی پر آسمان سے عذاب نازل کرنے والے ہیں کہ یہ لوگ بڑی بدکاری کر رہے ہیں۔

And certainly We have left a clear sign of it for a people who understand.

اور ہم نے اس بستی میں سے صاحبانِ عقل و ہوش کے لئے کھلی ہوئی نشانی باقی رکھی ہے۔

And to Madyan (We sent) their brother Shuaib, so he said: O my people! serve Allah and fear the latter day and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief.

اور ہم نے مدین کی طرف ان کے بھائی شعیب کو بھیجا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ لوگو اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور روزِ آخرت سے امیدیں وابستہ کرو اور خبردار زمین میں فساد نہ پھیلاتے پھرو۔

But they rejected him, so a severe earthquake overtook them, and they became motionless bodies in their abode.

تو ان لوگوں نے انہیں جھٹلا دیا اور نتیجہ میں انہیں ایک زلزلے نے اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا اور وہ اپنے گھروں میں اوندھے زانو کے بل پڑے رہے۔

And (We destroyed) Ad and Samood, and from their dwellings (this) is apparent to you indeed; and the Shaitan made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so he kept them back from the path, though they were endowed with intelligence and skill

اور عاد و ثمود کو یاد کرو کہ تم لوگوں کے لئے ان کے گھر بھی سرِ راہ واضح ہو چکے ہیں اور شیطان نے ان کے لئے ان کے اعمال کو آراستہ کر دیا تھا اور انہیں راستہ سے روک دیا تھا حالانکہ وہ لوگ بہت ہوشیار تھے۔

And (We destroyed) Qaroun and Firon and Haman; and certainly Musa came to them with clear arguments, but they behaved haughtily in the land; yet they could not outstrip (Us).

اور قارون فرعون و ہامان کو بھی یاد دلاؤ جن کے پاس موسٰیؑ کھلی ہوئی نشانیاں لے کر آئے تو ان لوگوں نے زمین میں استکبار (تکبّر) سے کام لیا حالانکہ وہ ہم سے آگے جانے والے نہیں تھے۔

So each We punished for his sin; of them was he on whom We sent down a violent storm, and of them was he whom the rumbling overtook, and of them was he whom We made to be swallowed up by the earth, and of them was he whom We drowned; and it did not beseem Allah that He should be unjust to them, but they were unjust to their own souls.

پھر ہم نے ہر ایک کو اس کے گناہ میں گرفتار کر لیا کسی پر آسمان سے پتھروں کی بارش کر دی کسی کو ایک آسمانی چیخ نے پکڑ لیا اور کسی کو زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور کسی کو پانی میں غرق کر دیا اور اللہ کسی پر ظلم کرنے والا نہیں ہے بلکہ یہ لوگ خود اپنے نفس پر ظلم کر رہے ہیں۔

The parable of those who take guardians besides Allah is as the parable of the spider that makes for itself a house; and most surely the frailest of the houses is the spider’s house- did they but know.

اور جن لوگوں نے خدا کو چھوڑ کر دوسرے سرپرست بنا لئے ہیں ان کی مثال مکڑی جیسی ہے کہ اس نے گھر تو بنا لیا لیکن سب سے کمزور گھر مکڑی کا گھر ہوتا ہے اگر ان لوگوں کے پاس علم و ادراک ہو۔

Surely Allah knows whatever thing they call upon besides Him; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

بےشک اللہ خوب جانتا ہے کہ اسے چھوڑ کر یہ لوگ کسے پکار رہے ہیں اور وہ بڑی عزّت والا اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

And (as for) these examples, We set them forth for men, and none understand them but the learned.

اور یہ مثالیں ہم تمام عالمِ انسانیت کے لئے بیان کر رہے ہیں لیکن انہیں صاحبانِ علم کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں سمجھ سکتا ہے۔

Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth; most surely there is a sign in this for the believers.

اللہ نے آسمان اور زمین کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے اور اس میں صاحبانِ ایمان کے لئے اس کی قدرت کی نشانی پائی جاتی ہے۔

Recite that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up prayer; surely prayer keeps (one) away from indecency and evil, and certainly the remembrance of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do.

آپ جس کتاب کی آپ کی طرف وحی کی گئی ہے اسے پڑھ کر سنائیں اور نماز قائم کریں کہ نماز ہر برائی اور بدکاری سے روکنے والی ہے اور اللہ کا ذکر بہت بڑی شے ہے اور اللہ تمہارے کاروبار سے خوب باخبر ہے۔

And do not dispute with the followers of the Book except by what is best, except those of them who act unjustly, and say: We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and to Him do we submit.

اور اہلِ کتاب سے مناظرہ نہ کرو مگر اس انداز سے جو بہترین انداز ہے علاوہ ان کے جو ان میں سے ظالم ہیں اور یہ کہو کہ ہم اس پر ایمان لائے ہیں جو ہماری اور تمہاری دونوں کی طرف نازل ہوا ہے اور ہمارا اور تمہارا خدا ایک ہی ہے اور ہم سب اسی کے اطاعت گزار ہیں۔

And thus have We revealed the Book to you. So those whom We have given the Book believe in it, and of these there are those who believe in it, and none deny Our communications except the unbelievers.

اور اسی طرح ہم نے آپ کی طرف کتاب نازل کی تو جن لوگوں کو ہم نے کتاب دی ہے وہ اس کتاب پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور ان میں سے بھی بعض لوگ ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور ہماری آیات کا انکار کافروں کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں کرتا ہے۔

And you did not recite before it any book, nor did you transcribe one with your right hand, for then could those who say untrue things have doubted.

اور اے پیغمبر آپ اس قرآن سے پہلے نہ کوئی کتاب پڑھتے تھے اور نہ اپنے ہاتھ سے کچھ لکھتے تھے ورنہ یہ اہل باطل شبہ میں پڑ جاتے۔

Nay! these are clear communications in the breasts of those who are granted knowledge; and none deny Our communications except the unjust.

در حقیقت یہ قرآن چند کھلی ہوئی آیتوں کا نام ہے جو ان کے سینوں میں محفوظ ہیں جنہیں علم دیا گیا ہے اور ہماری آیات کا انکار ظالموں کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں کرتا ہے۔

And they say: Why are not signs sent down upon him from his Lord? Say: The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a plain warner.

اور یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ آخر ان پر پروردگار کی طرف سے آیات کیوں نہیں نازل ہوتی ہیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ آیات سب اللہ کے پاس ہیں اور میں تو صرف واضح طور پر عذابِ الہٰی سے ڈرانے والا ہوں۔

Is it not enough for them that We have revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Most surely there is mercy in this and a reminder for a people who believe.

کیا ان کے لئے یہ کافی نہیں ہے کہ ہم نے آپ پر کتاب نازل کی ہے جس کی ان کے سامنے تلاوت کی جاتی ہے اور یقینًا اس میں رحمت اور ایماندار قوم کے لئے یاد دہانی کا سامان موجود ہے۔

Say: Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you; He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. And (as for) those who believe in the falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, these it is that are the losers.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان گواہی کے لئے خدا کافی ہے جو آسمان اور زمین کی ہر چیز سے باخبر ہے اور جو لوگ باطل پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کا انکار کرتے ہیں وہ یقینًا خسارہ اٹھانے والے لوگ ہیں۔

And they ask you to hasten on the chastisement; and had not a term been appointed, the chastisement would certainly have come to them; and most certainly it will come to them all of a sudden while they will not perceive.

اور یہ لوگ عذاب کی جلدی کر رہے ہیں حالانکہ اگر اس کا وقت معین نہ ہوتا تو اب تک عذاب آچکا ہوتا اور وہ اچانک ہی آئے گا جب انہیں شعور بھی نہ ہو گا۔

They ask you to hasten on the chastisement, and most surely hell encompasses the unbelievers;

یہ عذاب کی جلدی کر رہے ہیں حالانکہ جہنّم یقینًا کافروں کو اپنے گھیرے میں لینے والا ہے۔

On the day when the chastisement shall cover them from above them, and from beneath their feet; and He shall say: Taste what you did.

جس دن عذاب انہیں اوپر سے اور نیچے سے ڈھانک لے گا اور کہے گا کہ اب اپنے اعمال کا مزہ چکھو۔

O My servants who believe! surely My earth is vast, therefore Me alone should you serve.

میرے ایماندار بندو! میری زمین بہت وسیع ہے لہٰذا میری ہی عبادت کرو۔

Every soul must taste of death, then to Us you shall be brought back.

ہر نفس موت کا مزہ چکھنے والا ہے اس کے بعد تم سب ہماری بارگاہ میں پلٹا کر لائے جاؤ گے۔

And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will certainly give them abode in the high places in gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; how good the reward of the workers:

اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے ہیں انہیں ہم جنّت کے جھروکوں (باغوں) میں جگہ دیں گے جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی اور وہ ہمیشہ ان ہی میں رہیں گے کہ یہ ان عمل کرنے والوں کا بہترین اجر ہے۔

Those who are patient, and on their Lord do they rely.

جن لوگوں نے صبر کیا ہے اور اپنے پروردگار پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں۔

And how many a living creature that does not carry its sustenance: Allah sustains it and yourselves; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

اور زمین پر چلنے والے بہت سے ایسے بھی ہیں جو اپنی روزی کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھا سکتے ہیں لیکن خدا انہیں اور تمہیں سب کو رزق دے رہا ہے وہ سب کی سننے والا اور سب کے حالات کا جاننے والا ہے۔

And if you ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth and made the sun and the moon subservient, they will certainly say, Allah. Whence are they then turned away?

اور اگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں گے کہ آسمان و زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے اور آفتاب و ماہتاب کو کس نے مسخّر کیا ہے تو فورًا کہیں گے کہ اللہ، تو یہ کدھر بہکے چلے جا رہے ہیں۔

Allah makes abundant the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants, and straitens them for whom (He pleases) surely Allah is Cognizant of all things.

اللہ ہی جس کے رزق میں چاہتا ہے وسعت پیدا کر دیتا ہے اور جس کے رزق کو چاہتا ہے تنگ کر دیتا ہے وہ ہر شے کا خوب جاننے والا ہے۔

And if you ask them Who is it that sends down water from the clouds, then gives life to the earth with it after its death, they will certainly say, Allah. Say: All praise is due to Allah. Nay, most of them do not understand.

اور اگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں گے کس نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا ہے اور پھر زمین کو مردہ ہونے کے بعد زندہ کیا ہے تو یہ کہیں گے کہ اللہ ہی ہے تو پھر کہہ دیجئے کہ ساری حمد اللہ کے لئے ہے اور ان کی اکثریت عقل استعمال نہیں کر رہی ہے۔

And this life of the world is nothing but a sport and a play; and as for the next abode, that most surely is the life- did they but know!

اور یہ زندگانی دنیا ایک کھیل تماشے کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہے اور آخرت کا گھر ہمیشہ کی زندگی کا مرکز ہے اگر یہ لوگ کچھ جانتے اور سمجھتے ہوں۔

So when they ride in the ships they call upon Allah, being sincerely obedient to Him, but when He brings them safe to the land, lo! they associate others (with Him);

پھر جب یہ لوگ کشتی میں سوار ہوتے ہیں تو ایمان و عقیدہ کے پورے اخلاص کے ساتھ خدا کو پکارتے ہیں پھر جب وہ نجات دے کر خشکی تک پہنچا دیتا ہے تو فورًا شرک اختیار کر لیتے ہیں۔

Thus they become ungrateful for what We have given them, so that they may enjoy; but they shall soon know.

تاکہ جو کچھ ہم نے عطا کیا ہے اس کا انکار کر دیں اور دنیا میں مزے اُڑائیں تو عنقریب انہیں اس کا انجام معلوم ہو جائے گا۔

Do they not see that We have made a sacred territory secure, while men are carried off by force from around them? Will they still believe in the falsehood and disbelieve in the favour of Allah?

کیا ان لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان کے واسطے ایک محفوظ حرم بنا دیا ہے جس کے چاروں طرف لوگ اچک لئے جاتے ہیں تو کیا یہ باطل پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کی نعمت کا انکار کر دیتے ہیں۔

And who is more unjust than one who forges a lie against Allah, or gives the lie to the truth when it has come to him? Will not in hell be the abode of the unbelievers?

اور اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہے جو اللہ کی طرف جھوٹی باتوں کی نسبت دے یا حق کے آجانے کے بعد بھی اس کا انکار کر دے تو کیا جہنّم میں کفار کا ٹھکانا نہیں ہے۔

And (as for) those who strive hard for Us, We will most certainly guide them in Our ways; and Allah is most surely with the doers of good.

اور جن لوگوں نے ہمارے حق میں جہاد کیا ہے ہم انہیں اپنے راستوں کی ہدایت کریں گے اور یقینًا اللہ حسن عمل والوں کے ساتھ ہے۔

Almighty God the most high speaks the truth.

اللہ بزرگ و برتر نے سچ فرمایا ہے۔
