Dua-e-Sajdah
دُعاء سجدہ
A short supplication said in prostration. The reciter repeats that there is no god but Allah, affirming it with certainty and testifying to it in servitude, and says that they prostrate to their Lord as a servant, neither disdainfully nor out of arrogance. They describe themselves instead as lowly, weak, fearing, and seeking refuge.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ حَقًّا حَقًّا، لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ اِيْمَانًا وَتَصْدِيْقًا، لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ عُبُوْدِيَّةً وَّرِقًّا، سَجَدْتُ لَكَ يَا رَبِّ تَعَبُّدًا وَرِقًّا مُسْتَنْكِفًا وَلَا مُسْتَكْبِرًا، بَلْ اَنَا عَبْدٌ ذَلِيْلٌ ضَعِیْفٌ خَاۗئِفٌ مُسْتَجِيْرٌ۔
Laa ilaaha illal-laaho haqqan haqqan, laa ilaaha illal-laaho imaanan wa tasdee-qan, laa ilaaha illal-laaho o’boo-diyya-tan wa riqqan, sajad-to laka yaa rabbe ta-a’bbo-dan wa riqqan mus-tanke-fan walaa mustak-beran, bal anaa abdoon zaleeloon zaee’foon khaa-e-foon musta-jeeroon.
There is no god but Allah, truly, truly. There is no god but Allah, I believe in this certainly and I affirm it certainly. There is no god but Allah, I testify this in servitude and as a slave. I prostrate to You, O my Lord, in servitude and as a slave; not disdainfully nor arrogantly. Rather, I am a servant lowly, weak, fearing and seeking refuge.
حق اور حقانیت کی قسم کوئی خدا نہیں سوائے اللہ کے اور میں اس کے معبود ہونے اور اس کا میں بندہ ہونے کا اعتراف کرتا ہوں اے اللہ میں تیرا سجدہ کر رہا ہوں کیوں کہ تو میرا معبود ہے اور میں تیرا بندہ ہوں میں مغرور اور متکبر بھی نہیں بلکہ تیری بے شمار نعمتوں کے نیچے دبا ہوا تیرا ایک حقیر کمزور اور خوف رکھنے والا بندہ ہوں۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
