Restoring lost
گم شدہ کی دست یابی
يَا هَادِى الضَّالّٰةِ عَلٰى ضَالَّتِىْ۔
Yaa haadiz zal-laate a’laa zal-latee.
O Guide of the lost, guide me to what I have lost.
اے گمراہوں کو ہدایت دینے والے میری گم شدہ چیز مجھے لا دے۔
اَوْ كَظُلُمٰتٍ فِيْ بَحْرٍ لُّجِّيٍّ يَّغْشٰهُ مَوْجٌ مِّنْ فَوْقِهٖ مَوْجٌ مِّنْ فَوْقِهٖ سَحَابٌ ظُلُمٰتٌۢ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ اِذَآ اَخْرَجَ يَدَهٗ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرٰهَا وَمَن لَّمْ يَجْعَلِ اللهُ لَهٗ نُوْرًا فَمَا لَهٗ مِن نُّوْرٍ
Aw kazulumaatin fee bahril lujjiyyiny yaghshaahu mawjun min fawqihee mawjun min fawqihee sahaab; zulumatun ba’duhaa fawqa ba’din izaaa akhraja yadahoo lam yakad yaraahaa wa man lam yaj’alil laahu lahoo nooran famaa lahoo min noor.
Or like utter darkness in the deep sea: there covers it a wave above which is another wave, above which is a cloud, (layers of) utter darkness one above another; when he holds out his hand, he is almost unable to see it; and to whomsoever Allah does not give light, he has no light.
یا ان اعمال کی مثال اس گہرے دریا کی تاریکیوں کی ہے جسے ایک کے اوپر ایک لہر ڈھانک لے اور اس کے اوپر تہ بہ تہ بادل بھی ہوں کہ جب وہ اپنے ہاتھ کو نکالے تو تاریکی کی بنا پر کچھ نظر نہ آئے اور جس کے لئے خدا نور نہ قرار دے اس کے لئے کوئی نور نہیں ہے۔
