Meeting marhoom in dream
خواب میں پیغمبر و امام یا رشتہ داریا والدین کو دیکھنا
A supplication for the reciter to be shown someone who has died — a marhoom — in a dream, kept among the benefits of particular surahs and verses.
It opens by naming Allah as the Ever-Living beyond description, from whom all things came forth and to whom they return, and states the position of the one who turns away: there is no refuge from Allah except with Allah.
The request comes through tawassul — by "there is no god but You", by the Bismillah, and by the right of the Prophet (s), of Ali (a) as the best of the successors, of Sayyida Fatima (s) as the chief of the women of the worlds, and of Hasan and Husain (a) — and then asks in one line: show me my deceased one in the state he is in.
بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
Bismillaahir rahmaanir raheem
In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
اللہ کے نام سے (شروع کرتا ہوں) جو بڑا مہربا ن نہایت رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الْحَىُّ الَّذِىْ لَايُوْصَفْ وَالْاِيْمَانُ يُعْرَفُ مِنْهُ مِنْكَ بَدَتِ الْاَشْيَاۗءُ وَاِلَيْكَ تَعُوْدُ فَمَا اَقْبَلَ مِنْهَا كُنْتَ مَلْجَاَهُ وَمَنْجَاهُ وَمَا اَدْبَرَ مِنْهَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهٗ مَلْجَاۗءٌ وَلَامَنْجًامِّنْكَ اِلَّا اِلَيْكَ فَاَسْئَلُكَ بِلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ وَاَسْئَلُكَ بِبِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ وَبِحَقِّ حَبِيْبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ سَيِّدِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَبِحَقِّ عَلِىٍّ خَيْرِ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ وَبِحَقِّ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاۗءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ وَبِحَقِّ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ جَعَلْتَهُمَا سَيِّدَىْ شَبَابِ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ عَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ السَّلَامُ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَنْ تُرِيَنِىْ مَيِّتِىْ فِى الْحَالِ الَّتِىْ هُوَ فِيْهَا۔
Allaahumma antal hayyul lazee laa yoosaf wal imaano yo’re-fo minho minka bada-til ashyaaa-o wa ilaiy-ka ta-oo’do fa-maa aq-bala minhaa kunta malja-aho wa manja-ho wa maa ad-bara minhaa lam yakun lahu maljaa-un wa laa manjam minka illaa ilaiy-ka fa as-aloka belaa ilaaha illaa anta.
Wa as-aloka be-bismil laahir rahmaanir raheeme wa be-haqqe habee-bekamohammadin sallal laaho a’laiy-he wa aale-hi sayyedin nabiyyina wa be-haqqe aliyyin khai-ril wasiyyin wa be-haqqe faatema-ta sayyadate nesaa-il a’ala-meena wa be-haqqil hasane wal husainil lazee-ne ja-a’lta-homaa sayyadi sha-baabe ahlil jannate a’laiy-him aj-ma-eenas salaamo an to-saliyya a’laa mohammadiw wa aale mohammadin wa an toree-nee mayye-tee fil halil latee howa feehaa.
O Allah, You are the Ever-Living beyond description. Faith is known from You. From You all things came forth, and to You they return. Whatever of them turns toward (You), You are its refuge and its salvation; and whatever of them turns away, it has no refuge and no deliverance from You except with You. So I ask You by “There is no god but You”; and I ask You by “In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate”; and by the right of Your beloved Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family, the master of the prophets; and by the right of Ali, the best of the successors; and by the right of Fatimah, the chief of the women of the worlds; and by the right of Hasan and Husayn whom You made the chiefs of the youth of Paradise peace be upon them all: Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and show me my deceased one in the state he is in.
اے معبود! تو وہ زندہ ہے جس کا وصف بیان نہیں ہو سکتا وہی جس سے ایمان کی معرفت ہوئی تجھی سے چیزوں کا آغاز ہوا اور وہ تیری طرف پلٹ جائیں گی پس جو تیری طرف آئے گا تو اس کو پناہ و نجات دے گا اور جو منہ پھیرے گااس کے لئے نہ تجھ سے پناہ ہے نہ نجات مگر تیری طرف سے۔ پس میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں میرے بر حق معبود ہو نے کے واسطے سے سوال کرتا ہوں بسم اﷲالرحمٰن الرحیم کے واسطے سےاور تیرے حبیب حضرت محمد مصطفیٰ ؐکے حق کے واسطے سے جو نبیوں کے سردار ہیں اور اوصیا میں بہترحضرت علی ؑکے حق کے واسطے سے تمام جہانوں کی عورتوں کی سردار حضرت فاطمہ ؑ کے حق اور حسنؑ و حسین ؑ کے حق کے واسطے سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ دونوں کو تو نے جوانانِ جنت کاسردار قرار دیا ہے ان سب پر درود و سلام ہو کہ تو رحمت نازل فرما محمدؐ و آل ؑ محمدؐ پر اور یہ کہ مجھے دکھا دے میرا فلاں مرد ہ اس حال میں کہ جس میں وہ ہے۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔
Allahumma swalle alaa muhammadiw wa aale muhammadin
Allah’s (s.w.t) choicest blessings be upon Mohammed and his holy progeny.
اے معبود! رحمت نازل فرما حضرت محمدؐ اور انکی آل ؑپر۔
اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِىْ مِنْ اَمْرِىْ هٰذَا فَرْجَا وَمَخْرَجَا۔
Allaahum-maj a’l lee min amree haazaa farjaa wa makh-rajaa.
O Allah, make for me, in this matter of mine, relief and a way out.
اے معبود! تو میرے لئے اس معاملے کے سلجھانے اور اس سے نکلنے کا راستہ بنا دے۔
