About this day
Twenty-eight Safar is the date on which the Shia tradition observes the passing of the Holy Prophet (s), in the year 11 AH. It is a settled date within Twelver practice, and the Centre holds a majlis. In the reckoning the Centre follows, the same day also carries the shahadat of Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba (a), so the calendar shows both.
