About this day

Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (a) passed away in the year 11 AH, and Twelver sources report three different dates for it. This day carries the one known as the 75-day report. Communities differ over which of the three they keep and over how many nights the mourning runs; the length is not fixed in the tradition and varies from place to place. The Centre's main Fatimiyya block ends on 3 Jumada al-Thani.

Communities differ on this

The Centre’s congregation includes Indian, Pakistani, Irani, Hazara, Iraqi and Afghan families, and they do not all keep this on the same day. The date above is the one the Centre observes; it is not a ruling on anyone else’s.
